Ariston AVL95 – bad machine slowly leaks water all over the floor from under the machine must have an internal leak. the cycle gets stuck just before the spin cycle on occasions like now and you have to turn it off and on several times before it will run properly, you would expect better form a machine that is only 11years old and now decides to play up just when its needed. the bloke at hardy normal said this was a good machine and would last a long time?

Been reliable for 8 years so far – Bought from Hardly Normal in 2006 and still going well. Only fault was the bolt holding the drum pulley sheared off this week. I had to drill the old shank out and buy a hardened steel 8mm bolt for 40 cents to fix it. The mould does form on the lower rubber door seal lip but is easily solved by soaking paper kitchen towel in bleach and letting it… Read more

sit for a few hours. The front of the cabinet is beginning to rust in a couple of places but could be easily fixed with an aerosol can of White Goods Paint. Washes well if not overloaded and spins fine but can be noisy if imbalanced. Reliability and good performance

Used once a week...Now not worth fixing – For the first few years this machine worked okay. Sure the Mrs complained about the bloody racket it made, and it was noisy. The dog didn't like it either for the same reason. However it kept working. As others have mentioned it accumulated mould around the door. We only need to put a load on once a week or so as there is only the two of… Read more

us, and we try and use off peak power for our laundry needs.

After four years the machine has suddenly decided to leak. I suspect a pump failure, however before I stripped the machine to look at the pump I started to wonder about the reliability of this machine. I mean what is the point in fixing it if it is not worth fixing...and that is exactly where the other posts have lead me too. It would seem we got away with a longer life out of this unit as our washing requirements are a lot lower than others. But what is the point in fixing this ... Cleaned the clothes Noisy, prgoram instructions vague

Terrible Machine!! Ariston no more! – Like many other reviewers here, We were given this model after numerous and costly repairs to the original model. The repair man was here regularly. Fortunately, for a while, we had warrenty. It 'worked' but poorly over the We've years we've had it. Unable to handle minimal use of a 3 person family. I would never reccomend Ariston to anyone. So… Read more

many other brands selling quality washers.....Steer clear of this company. We have learned this the hard, and expensive way. We wish we never bought it! Problems with Ariston from the start. It was repaired and parts replaced regularly. 6 years Max.

Very good machine – I've been very impressed with this machine. Never missed a beat and never needed a service call. I think some people need to just look after their machine if they want it to last. Never used more than 1 tbls powder. Always left door open to prevent mould. Never cold washed. If I overloaded it on certain cycles it won't clean properly but if you… Read more

read the instructions it explains certain cycles must have less kg load. Standard on all front loaders but people just don't read their books. Overall I am very impressed with my machine and will buy another Ariston. Reliable, never required service! If overloaded certain cycles it didn't wash properly but that was my fault

Terrible – About 30% of this model needs repairs within 3-4 yrs. Major problems with design and parts. Do not know why this model AVL 95 has not been recalled. It seems like a scam especially for those with no warranty as the model is flawed. Ariston say they have fix the problems with later models but I will never buy another Ariston. 5 other family… Read more

member have had problems with major repairs costing $400-$700 within a few years. Mid range in price, Cleans ok, extended warranty - read on why this is important Spin cycle sounds like a aircraft taking off, major repair problems with this model well documented, water does not drain from rubber and mould sets in very quickly

Bad – This was a replacement for an earlier model that consistently broke down. Tis one has worked well for 2 years but is now giving loads of electronic problems - the mechanicals seem OK but the electronics are not functioning correctly. From what I can see in the reviews here this is not uncommon and is likely to be expensive to fix. Won't be… Read more

buying Ariston again! Easy to use with a large range of options Noisy, moves around with unbalanced load.

Bad – The AVL95 was a replacement under warranty for an earlier Ariston model that they couldn't fix. It was just out of warranty when the motor failed and had to be replaced. It is OK as a washing machine and does a reasonable job of washing clothes on a number of its cycles. It does suffer from instability and moves around the laundry when spinning… Read more

even though it has been placed (and replaced) on the proper surface and is perfectly even to start with. The door rubber does get mould which is impossible to remove even though the door is left open when not in use.

As a washing machine - OK, but reliability let's this brand down - twice! OK for washing clothes, variety of cycles. Door rubber mould, unstable when spinning, generally unreliable brand.

Terrible – Was happy with machine up until it broke! Was out of warranty so Ariston would not help. won't buy another Ariston, will consult choice first. Good water efficiency, Delayed timer start, Express wash for small load,. Quite noisy, Our counter weight became lose (it is 3 years old) and damaged the drum was going to cost $600 to repair, cheaper to buy a new machine

OK – A piece of crap! Ariston won't fix the problem and the extended warranty won't cover the cracked drum. I bought the machine from Harvey Norman and was talked into buying the extended warranty, but it isn't worth the paper it's written on!! excellent wash, very gentle wool/handwash cycle, quick 30min wash great for family leaks profusely, and the drum cracked!!

OK – This machine was a replacement for an older Ariston which broke down in the 1st year with bearings and electronics and cracked drum. This model is better and does wash most things well and have had it for 2yrs now. Need to put in a towel or two in with sheets to wash better because the sheets are too light and will have dry spots. But the noise… Read more

is getting to me with no laundry door to shut and my kids complain about it. I can't leave it on when out because it may unbalance. I wouldn't buy another one and will start looking for another brand soon. Easy to use, great delicates and wool program, delayed timer, child lock, good water saver. Walks all over laundry, and doesn't shut off when unblanched. Very noisy, sounds like an aeroplane taking off.

Terrible – I suggest that the Ariston should withdraw all of their machines and replace them at today's price. Never pay AVL 95. Good programs as said by others. I bought Ariston AVL 95 less than four years ago. Now it has a serious problem with its electronic mechanism. Fixing it would cost AUD 550.
