Very disappointing – I purchased aristone induction stove top exhaust fan and oven. The installation cost was enormous as I was not advised that Induction stoves and pyrolictic ovens require alot of energy otherwise they short the electricity board out. Initially, the fan needed to be replaced as it was not sucking up air, the stove top stopped working not even one… Read more
month of installation. All the plates began to flash H even though I was only using one plate. The next day the lock was on and havent been able to use my stove since. I have google searched the issue, read the manual and have not been able to release the lock. Harvey Norman rang the Rep- who in turn organised a company to come out and check / fix the stove top. They have cancelled twice now. It has been one month since I have been able to use my stove top. Aristone used to be a good quality item 20 years ago!! Very disappointing.
Would not recommend buying an Ariston product – Two of the induction elements stopped working after two years of use. Service person assumed the elements had blown due to incorrect installation (builder/electrician fault), I agreed to pay for the new elements and installed correct ventilation in my new island benchtops. Six months later I'm still waiting for this to be fixed. I call every two weeks and get told the one and one service scheduler will ring me back! Every two weeks! Show details

Ariston induction cooktop has problems – We moved to our current home last Feb and the previous owner must be an Ariston lover. We had to buy a new set of cookware because we never used induction cooktop before. It was very rosy in the beginning as the cooktop worked properly. However, since this June, the cooktop started to switch off-on during cooking. It's frustrating. I sent a… Read more
message to Ariston via Facebook, there was no reply at all. My partner called the customer services, and the officer just laughed at my partner Because the cooktop could be bought by the previous owner 7 years ago. The officer asked my partner how long you expect a cooktop lasts. Seems Ariston is selling products only need to pass the warranty period.
I'm not an expert on kitchen appliances, but from my brief google search, it appears to me that the issue we are experiencing is very common to Ariston induction cooktop customers. I would expect Ariston has investigated this issue and notified the sellers/customers. I would expect that Ariston can give us a solution when we call, not just laughing at us and telling us to go for the repairer who has no clue about the issues.
New to induction cooking – I love the induction cooktop. Needed to replace an electric cooktop that one of the elements stopped working and was very difficult to clean. Went to Masters browsing at cooktops and the sales person I spoke to was so enthusiastic about induction that I did some research. Found that the Ariston NIC 641 B was highly praised. Installation in my… Read more
case wasn't too bad, I needed to enlarge the hole in the kitchen bench. Thankfully my house wiring was fine for the cooktop upgrade. All the electrician did was fit an appliance switch from Bunnings and hardwire it in.
The downside is that the majority of my pots, pans and pressure cookers needed to be replaced with induction compatible.
My wife makes many delicious tasty foods with this appliance :) I'm in the category I would like to be able to make delicious food.
Cleaning is very easy, always use paper towels under the pots between glass cooktop to keep it in pristine condition. If it does get marked I use Chux magic sponge to wipe it down.
I know this is an outdated appliance but it is wonderful so thought it worthy of a review.
Once you've used induction, you'll never go back – This 4 burner induction hob with one boost function, is a joy to cook with. We recently moved house, and I had to leave my beloved induction hob behind. The new house had a standard Ceran cooktop, which reminded me of how tied you are to the cook top with these types of products. ie, there is no "cookability". with induction, you can put on your… Read more
rice, potatoes, casserole, whatever, bring it to simmering very quickly, and reduce the heat to where you want in a matter of seconds, and walk away, and leave it to do its thing, without having to check. You can boil water from cold in seconds, and turn it down to simmering in a touch of a button. Just like gas. Its even better than gas, because all you do after cooking, is wipe the whole surface over with a soapy cloth. Because the cooking zone itself, dosn't actually get hot (only residual heat from the bottom of the pan), if you do spill anything onto the surface, it dosn't cook on to it, and take ages to clean off. It has a lower level of heat than gas, in that you can do slow cooking, and melt chocolate directly in a pan, without setting it over water in a separate bowl.We even got a set of Rayco cooking pans, which was a bonus. Its a no brainer cooking with induction. Fast heat up, and cool down times. A breeze to clean. Looks slick and modern. 5 year warranty. Each time you want to alter the heat on an individual cooking zone, you have to tap that zone button, and then tap the increase or decrease button. ie a 2 step operation. Better to have a slide switch, but not a major problem.

ODOUR OF BURNING PLASTIC – After you've used this appliance, you'll never bother cooking on anything else. It's wonderful in many ways. However, after just one year it smells like burning rubber, coming from underneath it, even though it is cool. And it is getting worse. I paid $2,000 for this appliance, and I'm seriously considering replacing it with something else, dispute the exorbitant cost of it and amazing convenience of induction cooking. Show 3 replies
Best. Purchase. Ever... in my new house – I'm usually a trend-setter but big purchases like this, I tend to follow the path set by the forefathers. Imagine having a girlfriend for 10 years then you break up with her and find a new one. After getting to know her for couple of days, you realise she's your soulmate and want to spend the rest of your life with her. That's exactly what I felt with my ex-gas cooktops and this product.
works a treat – an excellent product, just what we wanted and easy to use and clean, took a bit of getting used to because we had an old coil type cooktop. We are very happy with the lock device on the cook top as we have a little grand son who investigates every thing. ease of operation so far nothing

Appalling warranty service – After about 20 months the cook top stopped working, with a bang and blown circuit breaker. It took about 20 days to fix and could have been significantly longer if I hadn't badgered the service people regularly as they started off by directing me to an appliance repairer who didn't repair Ariston, then a 2nd one who wouldn't even look at the… Read more
appliance for a week, eventually after many vexed phone calls a repair man came to inspect the unit. It was another week when I rang the service desk who informed me they had sent the wrong part. Very frustrating. Despite asking, there was no offer of even a temporary replacement. I will never buy Ariston again.
Cooktop – We purchaed the whole range of Ariston for our new kitchen ten years ago, cooktop with knobs, dishwasher, hob and oven. We never had any issues and were extremely happy with our purchase. I made an insurance claim on the cooktop as i dropped something on it and it cracked, no problem, had it replaced with the latest and greatest cooktop. WHAT A… Read more
LEMON, i am so dissapointed with the new cooktop, not only does it take longer to turn on an element, it continously overheats and cuts out. If you slide a pot over to another element, it turns them all off, if you wipe the cooktop whilst something is cooking, and you slide it over the controls it turns off. I don't know how many times i come in to the kitchen, and it has overheated and turned itself of, many a meals are ruined because of this. I turn on the main switch and then have to wait for the cook top to turn on, then it turns off then i have to turn it back on, and this is everytime. i wish i had just kept the cracked cooktop, because even with the crack in it, it works first time every time with no annoying beeping an you just turn the knob and away you go. It also comes with no edges, so now it just looks like a block of glass sitting on top of the bench. Poor design Ariston and poor product.
never buy Ariston again – Our cook top is three years old, not used much and well looked after. Recently one of the elements gave up, we called the nominated appliance repairers and after two weeks got a new element fitted. Then two weeks later a second element went. Same response, this time had to wait three weeks for a replacement. Both occasions, of course, out of… Read more
warranty, a total cost for the replacements of the two elements including call out charges and materials was in excess of $600. Just waiting for element number 3 to go!!!
Also had a three year old Ariston dishwasher - stopped working - contacted Ariston's nominated repairer who wanted over $500 for replacement control panel (including call out fee and part).. Decided it more financially viable to buy a new machine from Harvey Normans. This machine lasted two days before the dishwash liquid leaked through the door and all over the floor. Just been repaired under warranty.
Will never purchase or recommend Ariston products again - they seem to be unreliable to use and extremely expensive to repair.

Very good! – I was not sure when I first purchased this brand. It was cheaper than other brands. I have now used for last 8 years since 2011. It has never failed. Highly recommended. Show details
Absolute rubbish. Cannot be cleaned. Cuts out constantly – See above. Extremely disappointing. Would never go induction again. Nothing can clean the cooktop and the range of heat varies constantly.. This product has not lived up to expectations, most unsatisfying. Marks remain on the top despite all care and attention. Why does the heat constantly vary there is no explanation sometimes it appears to be off when the settings say it's on high.

Must have a lemon – I must be 1 of only 2 people unimpressed with this product. It is 3 months old and the glass is scratched quite badly. Burnt food will not budge despite cleaning after use. The heat is most unresponsive. I wait too long for a pot to boil and it takes forever to cool down. I am not a fan at all.

This never worked – The cooktop keeps breaking down. Had it fixed a few times while it was under warranty but it continues to not work. Two of the zones don't work at all and the other two work intermittently - giving up mid meal-clicking noise. I wouldn't buy this brand again. I also bought an oven which has also packed it in a couple of times. The nobs came off pretty much straight away.

First time user of induction cook top - I love it! – Had heard so much about induction cook tops and finally got one! Had always wanted gas but too expensive to connect to the house (so glad now in retrospect) The induction does what gas does and more! Looks like being cost effective too. I love being able to do my slow curries on the cook top and no running back and forward to turn the electric… Read more
stove on/off I can now control the simmer beautifully - as were my curries. Generally easy to use, clean, does not stay hot a fraction of the time of my ceramic cook top! Looks good too! I love it and would recommend to everyone
Very Easy to Use – I had narrowed my search down to 2 different cooktops and the salesman in Harvey Norman showed me each one in action, boiling a pan of water, and I had the opportunity to try pressing the controls and setting different temperatures. The Ariston cooktop was much easier to understand and I didn't need to memorise the manual to figure out how to… Read more
change the settings. The other one was less intuitive to use and I really felt this was a big advantage for an appliance that you are going to use on a daily basis. Its so easy to use, easy to clean, looks fab. You don't need to open the manual every time you want to turn it on. Some appliances these days are so complicated, but not this one. Heat control is very good, you can adjust it exactly and its very quick to respond. Very stylish, easy to clean, easy to use, great bonus gift of set of saucepans.
Excellent – Only had my hot plates installed a few days, all ready I love them. Easy to control, no knobs to clean around, the glass top is a pleasure to clean with no burnt boiled over water or food from saucepans. The boost control takes a very short time for water to boil. We have now had the hotplates for a couple of months now, and love them even more. … Read more
The hot plate with boost cooks perfect stirfry, vegies cook in a very short time. The hotplates will not work unless the correct pots are on the stove. Still love it and would recommend Ariston induction. Very easy to use and clean A little expensive for hot plates, but they are induction but didn't really care how much they cost, I was going to have them.
The best cook top i have owned – This is the first time I have used induction cooking ,I am very impressed ,the cook top stays cool ,it heats up quickly and style is great. I looked at quite a lot of cook tops before I decided on Arisiton ,I had heard good reports about and I have not been disappointed. Energy efficient
Great cooktop – We brought this cooktop on the reviews we have read online and boy we didnt make a mistake, this is one of the best induction cooktops we have used, instant heat plus the booster at the rear heats a litre of cold water in 90 seconds (we timed it). you will not be disappointed in this cooktop especially knowing you have a 5 year warrenty if anything goes wrong! good looking and very energy efficient
This cook top is HOT but is'nt hot to touch! – So simple to use, even my 'mere male' needed only one lesson. The cooking adjustments are so reactive. I feel confident in continuing to cook with my grandchildren too! I love that it has a timer too as my memory ain't what it used to be so, now I can SET and FORGET! Amazing Cooktop – After waiting some 6 weeks for stock to arrive from Harvey Norman for our new Ariston Induction Cooktop I was beginning to wonder whether we had made the right choice. eggs for breakfast without effort. the induction heat is consistent whereas gas would fluctuate. It's a dream to clean. Could gently simmer a sauce properly without getting burnt edges in the pot. I love cooking on this cooktop! Exact heat as required for recipes. Temperature achieved immediately without waiting heating and reducing heat. Easy to operate. Easy to clean. Can't fault it.
Wow - can't believe i own an ariston cooktop – Over 52 years of being head cook in the household - Finally I have the ultimate prize in cookware. .My new kitchen is complemented by a beautiful, functional and decorative state of the art cooktop. It is compact, attractive and well designed. it's a real treasure and will be treasured. I liked the attractive design, its super efficiency and it surpasses any other cooktop I've ever owned
I love to cook – My old cooktop died on me 8 days before Christmas, a disaster! I had Christmas lunch planned for 22 guests... good use of my new purchase, every since. I am delighted with it!
I have made everything from gravy to steam puddings and love the temperature control and speed of the new cooktop. Living in the tropics, my kitchen is cooler as the induction system only heats the saucepans, an unexpected & welcome bonus.
I was lucky enough to take up the offer for a 6 piece Raco cooking set for free and this makes cooking even more fun! Love the product and happy to recommend to anyone! immediate heat to pots & pans, well priced, efficient
The Only Way to Cook ! – I recently purchased the Airston induction cooktop and have used it extensively already. I absolutely love everything about it ! manner in which the heat is induced in the saucepans only, without heat being lost up the sides. Style, safety, ease of cleaning, timer function is very useful Nothing known yet.
The best thing I have bought in my new Kitchen! – Wow it is so quick to cook all meals, I just love my new Ariston NIC 641 B Cook top in my brand new kitchen. So easy to clean by using Cerapol cleaning products both Proctector and cleaner which keep my cook top as good as new and sqeaky clean. Quick cooking
Great Cooktop, simple to use, Induction the way to go!! – Have just installed this cooktop and love it. Boils a lot quicker than the gas it replaced and is the easiest cooktop to clean. Heat control is immediate. I know I am going to really enjoy cooking with my new Cooktop. Cooked a steak in our free gift frypan from Ariston, instead of using the BBQ, and cooked perfectly, Hubby said 'it cooks a great steak'. Efficient, easy to clean
BETTER THAN "COOKING WITH GAS" – I was always a "gas" cooker, but a few years ago we relocated to a home with an electric/ceramic cooktop. It took a long time to get used to and I've never really liked it. This year the ceramic cooktop cracked and the unit became even more frustrating, so it was time to 'update'. Gas wasn't an option for us (not available in the area and the… Read more
cost to run pipes for 'LPG' wasn't justifiable) ... we headed off to buy a new 'cooktop'. The sales person asked were we after 'ceramic' or 'induction' and we asked "what's the difference". Very timely - the store had a cooking demonstrator working and doing some amazing things on the "induction" cooktop. I commented to her that "I've always had gas" and her comment was "this is better than gas". So we did it .... purchased the Ariston NIC641B cooktop & OMG I could not be happier. The "control" is amazing, the 'boost' option is un-describable until you use it, we've boiled over rice & potato starch and .... as promised .... it just wipes off, there's a timer, it doesn't waste electricity when there's nothing left on the 'heat', etc, etc, etc. It was a bonus to receive the Raco cookware set - not our reason for purchasing, but a lovely "quality bonus". Exceptionally fast heating / cooking using electricity (I was used to Gas) Didn't come with a 'chef' to cook my dinners for me
Wow what a product!! – We have gone from a ceramic cooktop to this one and the results are awesome the pans heat up in no time it took awhile to get used to it but when I did I was very impressed It has accurate temp control which perfect for sauces and the constant heat makes the food cook well The free cookware that come with the product is also very nice. Quick and reliable None
Love ,love this Cooktop – We love using our new cooktop. It was replacing a old electric model that was on way out. The heat is instant and the timer is fantastic, so if you forget something or get distracted it has automatic turn off. It's also easy to clean and looks really neat . Reliable and energy effecient

A pleasure to cook on! – This is our first induction cooktop and we are really happy with it. We replaced an old Ceram cooktop with the Ariston induction cooktop. it really easy to clean. The lack of knobs and the clean bevelled edges looks great on the kitchen bench top. A pleasure to cook on! Good temperature control, safe to use and easy to clean.
Love this cooktop – We had the choice between getting a gas cooktop or an induction one, and I am so glad we chose induction. This cooktop is amazingly fast, it heats up quickly and cools down just as quickly, great for simmering. When something boils over there's an alarm and it turns off so nothing gets burnt on. The lack of knobs looks great and makes it easy to clean. Response time, looks, easy to clean.
