Asko kitchen appliance buyers beware – In 2008 my wife and I fitted out the kitchen of our new house with an electric Asko oven and a gas Asko hotplate . In 2013 the oven failed and after 3 months of waiting for it to be repaired , I had to purchase a new oven. The new oven was not an Asko. I submitted a review at product review in 2013 pointing out in detail why it could not be repaired. In October 2021 , two of the auto lighting burners on the gas hotplate failed . We could still use the hot plate but it had to be ignited manually. A call to Asko placed me in touch with a repair firm. After a visit by a very courteous repairman I was advised that Asko had stopped making the parts required to repair it. What a surprise! So now I'm up for a new hot plate. Just a warning to anyone contemplating purchasing Asko kitchen appliances.
