Fixes and Cleaning not included in manual – Fix for resetting dryer and some extra cleaning not included in the manual. My dryer lost all power during a cycle and had a slight burn smell coming from it, usually meaning $$$. Checked all the obvious as in the manual e.g lint filter, water condenser and waited for an appropriate time to cool down, but still no power. Checked online and found some Asko dryers have a reset switch on the back. No reset switch on the back of this model. Being a practical person I decided to pull out the electrical cord from the socket and with a T20 head undo the 10 screws that hold what looks like a big boot at the back (back panel cover) to my surprise sitting on top of heater was a reset switch. Also while I had the cover off I found a fan that had a solid build up of lint so I took that off with a 10mm socket and gave it a good clean. Why don't they mention that fan in the manual as that's what I think caused the overheating and shutdown. So I put it all back together, plug in the power, turned on the switch and bingo all's great. Hope this helps. Disclaimer: I am only a DIY not a registered electrical appliance trades person.
Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $1,799.
ASKO products should be taken off the AUS market – Im not surprised that this dryer has been discontinued. I have had mine fixed (attempted to anyway) more times than I can count and asko couldnt care less. Now it works like a normal dryer that costs $300 and not $2,000 like mine cost. Asko products suck and are overpriced
Rip-off – I bought this model less than 3 years ago and it's now not working. The cycle cannot complete and kept displaying the msg "Clean Lint Filter" or "Clean Condenser" although both the filter and the condenser is clean. I called up Asko hotline and was told that since my warranty period is over, they will charge for the repair. I paid good money for this brand and it is totally unreliable. I have owned cheaper machine and they lasted at least 5 years.
