are inconvenienced not everyone else. Most were made to check large bags in - which is appreciated by most other passengers. You felt confident with the flight attendants they would actually know what to do in an emergency - this is often not the case! Would happily fly Austrian again.

Korona for both of us. That amount was only for my ticket. My sister's ticket was put on hold and my family are witnesses that I was told to call back before April 2025 and she only pay the fare difference. Now they say she was refunded . So 1366 ÷2 is only 683 korona was paid back from the purchase ticket of 9000 korona. They're a rip off and their staff Maria was do rude. I'll complaint to the ombudsman. They need someone to stop them otherwise they'll rip off more people.

asked about this Austrian Airlines stated they reserve the right to change seats and that when paying to reserve seats you are not reserving a seat but a place in a section.

An unnecessary saga! – What a saga! I have fluffed around nearly all morning seeking Austrian Airlines contact number for AU. Eventually found it which then transfered to a OS number. On hold for time immortal, so gave up... had applied for a upgrade, their site took my cc details readily enough, no email confirmation.

Disapionted – I kindly asked cabin crew where isn't switch Strauss(which is always when is take off and landing) she answered me that is playing and asked me put your ear to speaker and I put although I couldn't hear so she told me go the doctor;)) arrogant. Never ever with austrian! – Austrian is absolutely dishonest company. It stole 2000 euros from me by cancelling flights TWICE and refusing to refund. It was business class for 3 people. I provided 3 different ways to get any refund: bank cards from different countries, cash in its office. But Austrian just decided to deceive me and never return money for tickets. supervisor and they say there is none available no matter when you call. I held for an hour today. My partner and I were on a week long trip across Europe and I was planning to propose to them in Dubronvik, but then Austrian Airlines have “delayed” our luggage when we had landed and most likely lost the luggage. My proposal and trip has now been ruined as my partner had to return to Seattle for their portion of the trip for work. While I had to spend a full day of my remaining vacation spending extra money on getting new clothes toiletries because I’m going to be here for four more weeks across European countries. Which I’m told they’re going to only reimburse 50% of clothes and 100% of toiletries but it’s probably going to be a Great Hastle to get out of them considering everything else lately. I don’t even want to imagine if they lose the luggage itself and the expensive ring permantely as well. They’re going to have a lawsuit on their hands if that ends up the case. I’m never checking a bag again because of this and encourage no one else to ask well. This is gross negligence and they take no accountability or action. Even when I did check in my baggage I had issues as well. I tried to buy online for 30 per bag and the website kept giving an error which I showed the error and charges to the check in at the airport and she still did not honor the price and made us pay 50.00 per bag to then lose said bags and destroy a proposal and vacation. Now I’m spending half my time on vacation, stressed out, trying to do everything I can to at least have my bags found and sent home and there is ZERO assistance by Austrian. Never fly with them and I would definitely suggest never checking your baggage!

It was the worse experience I ever had in my entire life while flying Austrian Airlines!The members – I flew via Vienna to London from another country. The airport in Vienna was closed due to adverse weather condition and pilot flew to Budapest to get refuel. open with 4 members serving queue of 200 people. My flight was delayed for 14 hours; I was late for my meeting at work.

Austrian airlines gave food vouchers for Starbucks which was closed at that time, no transfer to hotel; I have to pay my own money both ways. Further to my bag was lost and I still waiting from Austrian Airlines to contact me. It is not a budget airline, I paid £300 for my ticket but the service is terrible. I would never fly Austrian Airlines again!

the portion of the itinerary that was canceled by the airline. That was terrifying to hear because it would mean that I paid for a trip that I will never get to use and that I will only be reimbursed partially for one small distance flight out of 3.

After continuously calling Austrian Airlines in hope of a different resolution (because I found this one unacceptable), I was given 2 totally unacceptable flights to choose from that included traveling on Christmas day or with overnight layaway AND airport change in New York from JFK to LaGuardia. Now the ticket that I purchased was more expensive than this alternative: it had no overnight layaway and it had no airport change. I could have gotten a ticket like that for a much cheaper price. So I denied the offer and I said that I am expecting to be given something that has the same standard as the ticket I paid for. The Austrian Airlines representative couldn't come with another alternative the would have the same standard and fit my schedule. In fact I wasn't given ANY other alternative. I looked for my passenger rights and on the official Austrian Airlines website it states that in case a flight is canceled for any other reason than my own request (so is an involuntary flight cancellation) I am entitled to another flight that is like the one I paid for +/- 3 days from my travel date or at a later convenient time. I told this to all the representatives that I spoke with. None of them cared and none of them seemed willing to follow Austrian Airline's OWN policy and passenger rights. My rights were written in plain understandable letters and yet absolutely no representative cared or showed willing to respect them.

In the end I was forced by Austrian Airlines to pay for my own rebooking of the return flight even if I already paid for a return flight and that one was canceled by the airline.

not lose all the other flights that I’ve booked, then there are serious discrepancies and lack of clarity on their website which result in the customer being mislead: „This fare is only valid if the flights are taken in the booked sequence. Otherwise the fare will be recalculated based on the actual flight routing.”

What was even worse and I will never forget, was the attitude of the airport staff. They were all wearing Lufthansa uniforms, so I guess they work together. The clerk at the check-in counter said that I cannot just make up my mind that I am going to fly with a different company on a different day and then expect that I will return with you. Let alone the fact that he had no idea about the reason behind my fail to catch the first flight, obviously I didn’t just “make up my mind” to spend another 300 euro for alternative transportation around Christmas (because I know that my ticket is non-changeable or refundable). The attitude of the staff was downright rude. He sent me to the lady at the reservation desk, who told me that the only way I can get back to Sweden is if I pay another 530 euro (!!!) so I can fly on the following day. When I told her that I am a student in a foreign country who is not working and that I don’t have 500 euro in my pocket, especially when I’ve already paid around 600 euro for flights so far, all she said was: “Yes, we have more than enough seats available on the plane, but YOU are not going to fly tonight. Call Boyko Borisov if you wish (the prime minister-b.a.), nobody can help you. You are more than welcome to buy another ticket for tomorrow – 530 euro”. I was denied boarding despite the fact that I offered to pay whatever difference in rates there might be because I MUST get back to Stockholm that night due to the fact that I had an exam. In a very demonstrative manner she picked up the phone and told the guy at the check in to close the flight. She also added that I should have done my reservation through their(not too cheap) call center.

I used to think that these people are there to calm down the customer if they cannot do anything else, not to bring him to a breakdown – I was literally standing there crying out of helplessness and humiliation. Also, I chose to travel with a “normal” airline, which I thought Austrian Airlines was, not because I have money to burn, but because I thought I would avoid the pathetic attempts of the low-cost airlines to wring the last dollar out of the customer. Alas... So far I had spent just under 1000 euro for that roundtrip. I have flown A LOT and over the whole world and I had never encountered a problem like that before, and especially accompanied by such terrible customer service, which I would not expect even from the Bulgarian public administration nowadays, let alone from a huge private company like Austrian Airlines/Lufthansa.

Of course, I contacted the customer service department, who just refered me to the Terms and Conditions on their website and didn't even bother to answer to my second email.

Dinner was described as 'chicken and fries' but the chicken was a small processed partly meat patty with the meat being pink, and the fries were halfway between cheap french fries and a failed hash brown.

The 'ever-so-generous' breakfast consisted of a very thin slice of what I believe was beef something, very processed ham, and cheese. The standard bun and butter, a quarter of an egg which tasted off, 2 thin slices of cucumber, 3 grapes, a dollop of something like sour cream, and a serving of what seemed like fruit yogurt mousse that had the consistency of thawed ice cream.

On top of that, in a flight that's about 13hrs I would like to be able to choose when I watch a movie, be able to pause it, and not have to wait half an hour for the next one to start. Didn't fall out of the sky, no major structural damage. not much cheaper than other flights, especially considering how skimpy the food was. food was also poor quality and seemed very badly stored and prepared.

Good – i really liked this airline, they say everything in english and german as all european airlines do say everything in two languages. i would happily travel with this airline agian if i were in austria no problems and recomend it to others. the lovely little mozart chocolates they give you with every coffee you have are yum you must indulge… Read more

yourself. lovely hostess service. they participate in the star alliance rewards program, cheap flights. they do have slightly older planes, definatly no point in paying for an upgrade to busniess as there was not much difference in business and econmony on our flight.

water frequently as I suffer migranes, and they are quite casual in their attitude- they speak to passengers like ordinary people. The food is also good quality. The small seats. I have a large bum and the seats can be squeezy after 20 hours.
