Had to get bank to retrieve funds – Paid for $1500 item and express delivery. Item never arrived till 6 weeks later. We had made alternative purchase and sent item back. threatened to take my money back. That's when they gave me the furniture, which mind you they didn't want to deliver, my husband had to pick it up from them. Only to get home and find out they gave me the wrong colour cot and change table that i wanted. We were putting the furniture up on the same day my water broke and hated the colour of that cot and change table it was the wrong colour.
The worst service in the world. They should be shut down.

Will shop here again – I purchased a manchester at a great price in January. I received an email to say I will get my order in 5-15 days. After 13 days I sent an email to enquire about my order, I received a response the next day explaining there were supplier issues and I will receive my order that week. My order came 3 days later. Great Price – I ordered Furniture during the sale. I received it a little after the expected time frame however I know if I ordered it anywhere else the order time frame on furniture is the same, but with Babies DIrect got the bonus of the Great Sale price. No problems – I bought some wall decorations on their website. Their prices were great, the sale process was simple and the package arrived with no trouble. The items were in excellent condition. Living outside a metro area, I found it great to have options to order online and have delivered to my door. Reliable, fairly priced, trouble free.

long before then as they promised mid April. Since then I have been blatantly lied to continuously by these "Thieves". I had been assured that the furniture had finally arrived and they would have it to me by the 2nd of May - It did not arrive.
I then gave them a deadline of 15 May in which if it had not been delivered I would require a full refund to go and purchase elsewhere - this baby isn't going to wait for his cot to arrive.
What they did next disgusts me the most. They gave us a FAKE courier con note number, and delivery time. My partner took the day off work to ensure we did not miss the deliver. When the product did not arrive, he contacted the Courier company who had no idea about this.
When we contacted the store again, we were apologised to profusely and advised that everything had been collected now and would be with us by latest today.

I am so angry and upset!!! I have also asked them to confirm the colour of the furniture is Walnut as we ordered and not white as he sent in a confirmation e-mail and no one will answer this for me. This whole process has caused us such distress.

bassinette and sold it. Bank gave me half of the money back after I filed a complaint as ex gratia - they didn't have to but they did. The liquidators must be fresh out of school and have no idea! I had to go through hell and back to get understood and the fact they were dealing with pregnant women or new mothers didn't phase their attitude!

actually got paid every fortnight, not enough to smile at but it was there, but I actually looked back on my statements and found the deposits were from different accounts, so my question is...... Will I be receiving a Group Certificate??????
The owner also had a number of online stores, including an adult sex toys store, I believe it was 3D adult ???
The staff and managers that worked there (with the exception of one who had been treated so poorly but hung in there for about 8-9yrs) were the most arrogant, uninteresting, rude, revolting and had personalities of a pea.... I was sacked, as I was apparently not customer service material????? I had been told a few weeks prior to this that I spent too much time with the customers......
To all those customers who were ripped off by them, I wouldn't at all be surprised if you don't get a cent back, his ABN is still active so technically he is still trading........

We took it up with our bank (NAB) and filed for a "goods not delivered" claim (you can do this online), and then we were sent a letter by the bank that needed to be signed and faxed back to them, with a copy of our correspondence with the merchant. The whole thing took a few weeks (5 to 6) but I have just received the money in our account, and it will remain there unless the merchant can prove their honoring their order ... as if!
Anyhow, I highly recommend this course of action to all of you who were duped, like us.

I have spoken with department of fair trading this morning, & also my bank, i cannot afford to lose the money i have paid this company when i still have a baby who needs these items!! My advice to others who have been taken for a ride by these people, request a 'dispute form' from your bank, upon failing that, call ASIC, & you will find them to be helpful. # Update. Reading some reviews on here and wondering if people bought stuff after mid 2013? My almost $2000 worth of gear was meant to turn up at the start of 2013. It was early 2013 i found out they were in liquidation and that the process of this was to refund not the people who paid money but the suppliers that they promised to buy stock off of. Where the furniture ended up i don't know. The people who handle the liqudation told me the stuff was probably never sent to this guy as he hadn't paid for it but due to the order he was obliged to pay them first. It takes wrong to a new level. Can only hope Karma bites this worm. Cheaper than anywhere else Because it never existed!!!

previous posts as far back as nov 2012) and why the website was still advertising and processing payments is beyond belief!
The website was still active until only just a day or two ago. I can't imagine the amount of revenue they have made in processing all these transactions well knowing that they could not supply the goods. Similar to other posts the stress this has created is something that we could all do without.
By comparison Mothercare Australia's website stopped accepting online orders once it was in administration and the website clearly advertised their position, responded to customers and didn't try to hide behind stock delays or technical difficulties. What a joke this company is. . . .I will be warning all of my friends and hope that others do the same

has now been taken down, so no one else can get scammed, but for those who have ordered and not received anything, contact your bank. I just spoke to mine, and they can lodge a dispute with the merchant association so long as you notify them within 120 days. It may take 30-60 days to be processed after lodging, but at least there's a chance to get your money back.

Shocking – My sons OT ordered a special needs pram from this online company. Now we have no pram to get around, as he is to big for normal strollers. We are now house bound until we can find another company to order his special needs stroller. What a poor company to do this to people and especially people who are relying on special needs equipment to get around. How dare you!!!

product from Babiesonline.com .au and are now having exactly the same issues with them (after placing the order it came to my attention that both companies share the same PO Box and their generated invoices and personalised emails are word for word exactly the same) When i confronted them about it they assured me they are not affiliated with each other but it is very obvious to me that they are. This is appalling! – I am afraid that I ended up in the same boat as everyone else... placed an order for a cot end of March and neither the cot nor anyone from the company are anywhere to be found... about to lodge a disputed transaction with my bank and a complaint with the ombudsman. We even went to their store in Sydney to make a claim only to find that the shop is now closed.

However to my disgust after another month still nothing so more emails and no response from those and the phone calls to the warehouse the answered but than promptly hung up;
finally called the Canberra shop where I spoke to a lovely lady who made me aware how hopeless they were and had someone email me back, she said if i would like a refund I could have one however again it would only be 2 weeks away I asked for a refund and how long before i would get it and would i get any interest due to the outrageous length of wait no answer, so I wrote again asking for a refund nothing and than another.
I will be contacting the fair trading ombudsman to see if there is a way I can have my monies refunded. Glad (sort of) I am not the only person who has been affected in this way.

requested a refund. They responded that the refund would be paid in 2-3 business days.
Three weeks later, I had not received my refund and they had stopped returning my emails. I also had contacted the Canberra store and was advised about the Sydney store going into administration and that it was affecting the Canberra and Online Stores ability to send stock and process refunds. I therefore contacted the administrator who advised that they were dealing exclusively with the Sydney store only and that I needed to resove the matter directly with the online store.
As dealing with the online store was futile at this point I did lodge a transaction dispute with my bank and I am relieved to say that they have come through with the goods. My money has been fully recovered and I have even received interest. I would strongly advise anyone having problems getting their refunds from the online store to lodge a transaction dispute with your bank.
If you purchased from the Sydney store that is now in administration contact the administrators: Jirsch Sutherland. Hopefully this info will help some of the other people get their money back.

company, they cheat money then run, I did purchased a lot of things from Amazon, ebay, Nextdirect. They ship stock from overseas and never lost. I feel really angry how can this company's website still can work now? And the website looks professional, provide a lot of baby products!! online ordering number picking up. I rang the Canberra store and they gave me an email address. Sent off an equiry. Was informed by email that they were in the process of moving and my order was on "indefinite". WAs told if I wanted a refund to reply to their email. Replied but have not got a response (or money back).
Contacted Consumer Complaints here in Perth and was told to ring NSW Fair Trading - apparently there are not reports on them.
If they have appointed administrators they should shut down their website before others get the same treatment.
I did contact my bank and they said because I had lodged a complaint within 120 days I might be successful in getting our money back.
