A great product – The CEX Ultrasonic pest control works really well. My yard was plagued by bush rats and possums, which generally came out at night and ate all my vegetables and new rose shoots. With the CEX Ultrasonic automatically being switched on at night these pests are no longer about.

Keeps the possums out – Great product. We have used 3 of these now for different clients and the product does exactly what it says.

Yep it works – I used the Cex in a food establishment as a pest deterent, we operate near a park and a railway line, so can get all creatures making visits. At first I had trouble with the appliance and it "seemed" not to work, HOWEVER!!!! I called Darren and he gave me some tips to set up the appliance correctly! At what you height you position it makes all the difference. Once i lined it up with the travel paths of the rodents, The effect was instantious and I had great success.

If only this worked.! – I was initially concerned because the CEX did not arrive with the external speaker as I had interpreted the info on the web site to indicate that this was so. The enclosed flyer does clearly say 'an add-on speaker'. I believe the correct word should be 'optional speaker'. If I had realized this I would has purchased the weather proof UPR model.

I set the CEX up under the eves, aimed at the Japanese maple which was starting to bud, selected medium mode and sound pattern C. Dusk arrived and so did the ringtail possum which was happily eating the buds - the CEX was 1.5 meters away. This again happened the following night. On the next night I moved the sound level to loud for two nights but the possum still was unaffected. I did get a response from the next door neighbor and the resident across the road who thought it was a faulty fan/motor bearing.

I realy wanted this to work as we have other plants that need protection. Small, compact. Expensive, not weather proof, did not work on ringtail possums.

Hello Ber Sorry to hear the CEX device didn’t work well for you

The CEX is the device that Peter Cundal talks about on radio and demonstrated on his TV program. As Mr Cundal explained to us he wouldn’t havent a garden without the CEX as the possums and wallabies get it all without it. The device has a long history at repelling possums but because of the audible sound it makes, it cant always be effectively used if close to houses. In suburban areas we use the quieter Possum Deterrent or UPR as you have called it. When defending a tree the positioning of the device for best results is important, if the possums are coming from the ground to get to the tree its better to have the device down low at that height. If the device is installed high under the eaves the upward spread of the ultrasonics will be blocked and if its too close to the tree the sideways spread of the ultrasonics will be limited. Even though the device has been used outdoors for 10 years we don’t call it weatherproof and do recommend some protection from direct rain to ensure the longest life of the device.

In the website CEX product description and in the email I sent you we have describe the external speaker as an “ optional extra “ at a additional cost, however we will pick up your suggestion and add that as caption on the product photo as well to avoid any possible misunderstanding in the future.

If you like you can call us and we may be able to help you get the CEX working well for you or you can send it back if you like and try the quieter Possum Deterrent instead.

Shoo Roo is a woo hoo! – Invading wallabies are gone. Garden and lawns growing well. The pest controller has very effectively deterred the critters that were driving my wife nuts. Only other way to keep them away was with a rifle. The pest controller is a much more humane way of controlling the movements of our native critters. Instantly effective. Audible noise takes a little getting used to but balanced by pest control effectiveness.

What does this device look like ... the only produce I can find with this name is for a car? Where do you get them from?
