Towels like Cardboard – As with all front load washers Wash time too long, not possible to do two loads of washing before work. I use fabric softener but towel still come out like cardboard. Tried delicate wash in the hope that this would help, but no such luck. Also with a timber floor washing machine vibrates too much
OK – when it's working it's fantastic. Customer service has been fantastic this last time (less than 5 minutes on the phone and refund offered!). Let's see if they follow through! washes great and spins out unbeleivably dry and when it's working it's the best machine. Have finally got a great response from Blanco! How about we just give you your… Read more
money back (i nearly had to be picked up off the floor)at least they understand that 4 breakdowns in less than 2 years is not acceptable. have had it in to be fixed three times in less than 2 years and it now needs to go back again(still under the 2 year mark). Have had motor fixed then replaced, had it in because it woundn't spin about 6 weeks ago and now it's doing it again!
Terrible – i've had my BFW716 less than two years (the shamefully short warranty period given it cost me over $900 for the machine) and this morning it just won't work. i can set the program but it shoots in 15 seconds of water and that's it: no more water, no tumbling to wet the clothes, NOTHING. after 10 minutes it shuts down the program and empties… Read more
itself. it's the same with all the programs.
there are only two of us, and i do three (maybe four) loads of wash A WEEK so it's not "over used". it's properly balanced and i never overload it, use front-load machine washing powder and i look after it like a baby, so what's with it breaking down after less than two years? i contacted the Blanco public relations / sales personnel and after 10 minutes was put through to a woman (who's name i had to ask) who told me that i just have to get a serviceman out to look at it. my point in phoning them was to ask this: if my machine, which is well looked after and not abused, breaks down and doesn't work after less than two years, how often is it going to break down after that? every two years? less? at $88 call out fee and $16.50 every 10 minutes (plus parts) how much is it going to cost me to own this machine in the coming years? what are the stats on how well these machines bear up over time? before buying this machine i had a simpson top-loader that lasted over 15 years before it stopped, will the Blanco work as well?
made an appointment or a service call which should be fully covered by the warranty, but how long will it take to do the repair? what part will need to be replaced/upgraded/repaired? will the repair restore the machine to peak performance or will it simply be a stop-gap measure and the machine will break down again and again? works well, when it works... is noisy, but at 1600 rpm it will make some noise- and shake a bit, even it it is properly balanced... washes well, apart from there being no lint filter which is a pain sometimes when washing dark clothes after doing the towels. broke down within warranty period after no mistreatment of the machine
Terrible – I can't stand this machine, I hate it. It leaves lint all over all my clothes, I have tried everything to get rid of it. I have been told to use my dryer to get the lint off, I bought this machine to save on water and energy, how am I saving on energy if I have to then put my clothes in the dryer. I don't think the water flow is very good in… Read more
this machine as I sometimes have to wash my darks again because it leaves washing powder residue on my clothes, sometimes so bad that I have to throw the article out. Some of the wash cycles are way too long. I would not recommend this machine, I am going back to a top loader. The delay timer. It is very noisy, sounds like an aeroplane taking off in my laundry. No lint filter, leaves lint all over my washing.
Bad – well due to getting this model as they couldnt fix the last modle BMF7 couldnt be fixed after 9 months. But the seal comes out so I have to make sure its pushed in properly,it cant handle a full load of towels the water comes out the front draw and then i need to re drain, will buy a Miele next time as these are rubbish! looks good seal keeps coming out, cant handle a full load of towels
Terrible – It seems Blanco are just a badge with no real support - however my real problem is that the tech said that the model I have has had lots of motor problems and they have now changed to an upgraded version. Does this not signify the first unit as "not fit for purpose" and as with automobiles when there is a quality fault detected, that the upgrade… Read more
is provided free of charge? When it works, it's good. Just over a year old and motor stopped working $99 call-out and tech said we need a new motor. They would quote later. Called and quoted $521.00 Even at that rip off price - to replace a faulty design, it would still be some time before a new part is available. New school year, house full of sporty people, loads of washing and no quick or reasonably priced repair available on a less than 2 y.o. washing machine. That reallyis not good enough.
Excellent – I had a Bendix before this Blanco, and the Blanco is 100% better. I have 6 adults in my house (four grown sons at home) & this machine is used at least twice a day. And sometimes my sons overload it a bit. It has not missed a beat. The service personnel for my old Bendix (& he was out here 3 times, in 3 years, before the machine just gave up) told… Read more
me no machine will handle 2 or 3 loads every day. Well the Blanco does it easy. Even the 30min quickwash is excellent. I would highly recommend this machine. It washes very gently but thoroughly. I have had the machine for 2 1/2 years. Can jump a little when spinning.
Excellent – Fantastic machine. The controls look overwhelming if you are used to just a couple of knobs on your washing machine, but it is very easy to use and cleans brilliantly. I have heard some friends washing machines and you can hear a high pitched whir when they are spining the clothes, but this machine barely makes a noise. Highly recommended! Quiet!… Read more
This machine is so quiet! We have only had top loaders up until now, but got this in a deal with other blanco products and we love it. We have the BFW716 and for a machine that spins at 1600RPM, it is amazingly quiet. It washes better than our top loader, in that the clothes seem cleaner and wash better. The only thing we have noticed so far is that the towels don't seem to come out as soft as they did in our Kleenmaid top loader, but this may be because top loaders stress the material more.
Good – It seem to be a good machine for average home use. Definitely better than LG. Very affordable in comparison with other major Europe brand. Dont ever go to the Goodguys in Morrabin Airport & Nunawadding if you live in Melb, they are rip offs... Always try to sell their products 10% more than their other rivals. We had several wash with this machine… Read more
since last week, so far so good. We had foam leaked from the detergent drawer on 1st use thaz becuz we were using regular washing powder, switched to front loader powder 2nd wash and it worked perfect. The LCD display seem very fragile as if you put your fingertip on it you will see the irregular messy display of the numerical number and english characters.
