2 years in the new house still disappointed – We built with BMW in late 2014. Structurally they build a nice home but the finishing leaves a fair bit to be desired. We were given fixed windows (without being told) and a bath tub not made for adults! door leaks in the rain. The appliances supplied have all failed (upon moving in, we spent the first 2 weeks with the oven on the kitchen floor awaiting a spare part - for a new unit!)

Basically the general feel was that we paid for a show home quality place and received a "Bunnings" trade centre special.

The second we received the keys we never heard from BMW again.

We are now building again and BMW won't be doing it for us.

they coordinate the process of building well and they get paid on time. All jobs have been completed well within contract time limits.

From our point of view the most important factor in getting what we wanted is to go over plans in fine detail. These guys want to have a plan that has every detail covered off. Colours/fixings/fittings/lighting & electrical/PC items selected/tiles/kitchen layout/ bathrooms layout/ cupboard layouts and floor covering. I think the secret is that everything is laid out on plan and they can then work through the process without delay. As a customer the importance of checking plan down to detail of where and height of power points is essential. If there is any ambiguity spell it out on plan, discuss and clarify before the build.

Remember that if you change your mind the cost of variations will increase unless the variation is planned before the plaster or tiling is started. Is the house perfect – no – it is doubtful that any home you build is everything you wanted or even planned. Is it great – yes. Would you work with them again – definitely.

I suspect that what makes them special is attention to planning/organisation/great relationships with contractors and suppliers/commitment to having satisfied customers so that they talk positively about their building experience. Our experience was very positive.

gave us a price estimate taking into account the work we were going to do ourselves which came in very close to the final contract price and even showed where we could save money instead of spend it. After going through the whole process we decided to sign a contract to build our 300m2 home with them. It came out of council at the start of December and the slab was down before the Christmas knock off. We had our handover meeting a couple of weeks ago and got the keys the day before the Easter break. Love it, Love it, Love it. Fantastic sales staff, flexibility in design and inclusions, super fast build time and a quality finished product.

Excellent – This is my sixth time building and by far the best. These guys know their stuff. I had a block with a difficult slope and considered several options before settling on BMW. being a person who can't settle so that'll be in 3 years or so, I'll use these guys again in a heartbeat. Consultant was well informed and very honest which helped us feel at ease with every decision. Every step of the build process was fantastic. Lack of display homes. They only had a couple of display locations and the house we ended up building wasn't existing (as it was a modified design). I'm a visual person who likes to see and touch but in the end none of that really mattered.

Very disapointing – We originally spoke to a sales lady who was great with helping us with our own custom designed house. She said she asked us to come in to look at the quote. We found the building supervisor and tradespeople to be very experienced and knowledgeable. They were reliable and professional at all times.

Our home was completed by the estimated handover date which only added to our positive experience with these builders. The finished product was a beautiful home with no attention to detail left unattended.

We would absolutely and unreservedly recommend this company to anyone wanting to build a qaulity home. Excellent – We had signed up with another very large building company and once we got to final contract stage the price had blown out by over $50k. manager and site supervisor are available via mobile or e-mail and respond to your queries very quickly. I cant wait to get the keys and move in and relax in our new home. Thanks for making our first building experience a pleasant one. Everything! These guys are brilliant. The salesman was fantastic, made some great suggestions and easily accommodated all of our needs. Very flexible, were able to provide many items ourselves with no hassle at all. We have handover in 4 weeks and so far not one problem to report. Build is on schedule and quality of workmanship is brilliant. Nothing at all!
