Bosch NHT715AULP / NHT715AUNG

Good – I have had this item for about 2 years. After going from an electric cooktop we will never go back - gas is the best! As the other reviewer wrote this cooktop is made by Highland and badged Bosch - Highland produce a great quality product. It is so easy to clean - because it has one flat surface and isn't moulded you just wipe it off. It is also easy to clean because of the black rings around the burners - most other brands have a metal like ring around the burner and after a single use that metal will never look new again - even after scrubbing it. The black ring around this burner will not show discolouration. Flame Failure - if the flame goes out the gas turns off - there are still some expensive brands on the market that don't have this feature. Finally the simple design and asthetics - I love that it is made out of a solid, single slab of pressed metal and the simple trivets and knobs. All in all I am very happy with this cooktop and would happily recommend it. Easy to Clean, Asthetics, Black Burners, Flame Failure, Simple Design The only thing I can think of is that the trivets tend to rock a little when they are hot which is a little annoying but no big deal

Excellent – This cooktop is brilliant in its simplicity. The burners are reliable, and include an automatic gas cut-off in the event that one of them goes out (absent in a surprisingly large number of high-end burners). They are also easy to disassemble, in the case that something boils over and you need to clena them out. The thick, flat sheet of stainless steel used as a base looks good and with the easily removed pot-supports, makes cleaning easy. Gas cooktops which have a moulded base are extremelt difficult to clean, as the holes and depressions are very hard to access.

The only problem that we have had with this burner is that rubber feet on the pot-supports can fall off, but they are easily re-attached. Reliable, easy to clean. Rubber feet can sometimes come off.

Gas top burner problems – We purchased this unit a few months ago - it's a great unit BUT we are scared of this unit. Many a time when someone passes by the unit we find the gas to one of the burners turned ON. The knows are much to easy to move thus a sligt rub turns on the gas. Does any one know about a fix for this or has there been a recall on this - gas explosions can be nasty especially when you run a small bed and breakfast. Great working unit and easy to operate possible accidental gas explosion

Excellent – I like the fact that it is easy to clean, looks great and the burners have a simmer function which is reliable. I liked the wok burner on the left instead of the middle - i think if its in the middle - it splatters all over the whole surface. With the wok burner, the meat I am cooking never stews. Reliable, and easy to clean flat surface. The trivets are easily placed in the dishwasher. It's actually an Australian product made by Highland, so parts if needed would be easy to find. Can take a bit to ignite
