Makes cooking a pleasure now – This replaced my 14 year old Chef. I made a template of the cook top on a large piece of cardboard. It was easy to make it to scale from the measurements on the product specification. I then placed all the pans, pots, wok etc on it in various configurations and there was plenty of room. So easy to simmer now with confidence. Flame kept going out on my old cook top and I could never get enough heat from the wok burner. I had the standard 600mm bench cutout so the Bosch fitted perfectly. The only problem the installer had was that the drawer underneath the cook top wouldn't close properly because the Bosch had an electric plug with the cord sticking out from the middle, not a flat one like the old Chef, so he had to modify the wall socket mounting. If he replaced the plug the warranty would be have been void. I would never need to use more than 4 saucepans at once and each burner is a different size and so easy to turn on and adjust during cooking. The high heat generated by the wok burner is fantastic. I have only

had it for 3 weeks but use it every day and find it is easy to keep clean and looks like new. Very happy!

Excellent – Have had this for 3 months now, running on a 9kg cylinder. I calculated the running costs compared to electricity and there is very little difference. This unit only needs the standard 600mm benchtop cutout so if you ever did need to replace it (you would never go back to electricity except maybe for induction) you still have the flexibility with your expensive caeserstone benchtop without a big cutout. Correctly installed and adjusted, the low heat is amazing. A tiny flame which doesn't go out - just enough to keep a pot just simmering with the lid on. Like all gas, the control of the heat is perfect and quick. I like this design and the wider length gives more flexibility with using multiple plates at once. Personally I can't see the need for 5 burners - you would never use them all at once. Like all Bosch appliances it looks stylish. Even after some spillovers, the design stops the mess running off and makes it easy to clean. The size of the burners gives options from melting butter, simmering, boiling, frying and full blow wok cooking. I love it!!! This design allows a large frypan, wok and 2 smaller pots to be used together without crowding. The stainless steel finish is easy to clean with simple removal of the trivet and burner caps. Smart looking and good controls with a good range of gas control from full on to the smallest flame possible. Flame out protection is reassuring. Trivets are solid and don't move on their feet. A pleasure to cook on - after using Gas I would never go back to electric. 600mm cutout gives added flexibility if you ever wanted to change it. No much. The electronic ignition is easy to use but needs holding down for a few seconds to ignite. Whilst their is a full variable range of control over the gas, most of this occurs within a narrow band range, however low is really low and high is high. These are only minor niggles just to be really picky!!

Didn't purchase due to diamond designed layout – I don't own one of these but recently considered purchasing. I went into store with all my pots and frypans to test out the layout. I had read that the diamond design was rubbish but wanted to check it out for myself. I thought it may be better as it was a 76cm cooktop (but only requires the 60cm cutout). Really all you get is extra overhang at each end. There is no extra room between the burners. It is really cluttered if you want to put a third saucepan on. The layout of the 60cm PCI615FAU is actually better. Being a square layout there is more room between the burners. We bought the one with the side controls for safety reasons and found that there was plenty of space for three large pots. If you are considering the diamond design, take your pots in with you and check it out, really helped us make a decision on a more functional design. Everything except the diamond layout. Would have purchased one but discovered the layout was not functional. The diamond designed layout.
