The control knob taps allow adjustment from full (on) to simmer. But, the gas flow hardly changes from full (on) to the simmer end. In the book, one can adjust the gas flow to enable a very low simmer. But, one needs a special part to achieve this. Bosch want A$35 to supply the adjustment tool!!!!

The cast iron 'pan supports' comprise 2 parts (or halves). Unlike other products on the market, this doesn't allow for 'stacking' of pan supports to get diffused heat.

The plastic knobs have cracks already!!!

Maybe Bosch commissioned some el cheapo to make, but the product does NOT live up to the Bosch name.

Suggest you opt for something better - and there are many around.

i call the Good GUYS really good they are and pass the buck SO i call BOSCH and they say we will call you back in 2 working days GREAT then say if its not warranty it will be your plumbers fault and you will have to pay for our service GREAT !!! me this never happens with their product and it was my cleaning. I asked why it hadn't happened to my two Bosch oven which are cleaned the same way and they never responded. We are incredibly disappointed as our old 14 year old no name cooktop never had this happen. I thought Bosch was a good brand, but I think I will look elsewhere from now on.

problem but parts are not under the warranty, we can't help you. Please order the parts from one of our Service Centers'. How do you justify? If you can make a cook top can't you able to place some heat resistant knobs. So poor Bosch!

the unit that causes the stains. I decided this needs to go further as we use water and a soft cloth to clean it after cooking. with photographs proving our point sent to them. Clearly Bosch have decided to wipe there hands of any warrantee even the two years that is specified. The poor quality of the Stainless Steel, if that's what it is at all is appalling. The cooktop itself is good, shame about the wonky trivets! – I bought this cooktop recently and am not entirely happy with it. The layout is good though the smallest burner would've been better at the back really. The wok burner is really good and the best one I could find for the price. I made Bosch aware of this and they today came and replaced them with a new and equally faulty set - the guy who came out said that there was nothing more he could do so I'd just have to live with it. I really expected more from Bosch as this was certainly not a cheap cooktop! Powerful wok burner. Cast iron trivets/pot stands are not square so pots rock forward and back rather than sitting flat.
