Bosch PHL206FAULP/NG

Terrible – Disappointing coming from Bosch, but lucky there are other brands around . I sit jsut me or do salespeople not really know much about the product these days. it's gas Controls are way too close to iron trivets. don't buy unless you have seen one on display

Horrible to clean the enamel top gas cooktop. Everything smudges, every dust particle shows – The cooktop cooks very well, but the black enamel finnish is obviously inferior to any old enamel stove type. Normally, one would use soap and water and sponge-clean it. This enamel attracts dust particles, shows every drop of liquid as a nasty spot - needs to be cleaned and shined after boiling a cup of water, too. Paper towels do not work - leave fluff/fiber. The only barely effective approach is using Windex or a gentle and expensive tile cleaner with a microfiber cloth, which has to be replaced at least every day with a clean one. Ouch!!! The only mechanical problem we had in the 6 months of owning it is that the little LED indicator light somehow broke off and we had to fish it out from the hole under it and gingerly keep it in place until Bosch's service company will do something about it - have been waiting for weeks, now. This should be an appliance for life - per Bosch's motto!?

No way, I am a slave of my Bosch cooktop in my brand new beautiful kitchen that is otherwise a breeze to keep clean. Great burners, excellent iron grid, good distribution of the burners. Horrible to maintain it clean, an awful enamel coating negates all the positives of the cooktop.
