Bosch PSR 14.4-2

A great cordless drill – I have had this unit for 12 years and only now has the motor started smoking. The two batteries lasted till 4 years ago. I bought an aftermarket battery for $45.00 and kept right on. I am a little disappointed to find that the motor is a sealed unit, whereas all my powered Bosch drills have replaceable brushes. I have a 44 year old that's still going and has had 2 sets of brushes. Show details
Stopped working altogether but was never any good – It stopped charging and now no power at all. Bought it for our second home and hardly ever used it. Poor suction power and cumbersome to use. Happy to continue to write a things about it but that should suffice! It was recommended to us but seriously bad - avoid at all costs. Show details
Junk – It may be discontinued but there is new version so be aware. Batteries do not hold charge for any useful length of time and it has poor torque despite the advertising. High speed is...not. I have a smaller, older Bosch, a PSR 9.6 which out performs and has outlasted this piece of junk. Show details
No charge in battery after 2 months – This drill failed after about 2 months. The batteries are absolute junk and won't hold the charge and are completely dead after hours of recharging. I'll never purchase and BOSCH tool again. I recommend against buying any BOSCH green coloured tools, which are meant for the DIY but appear to be cheap rubbish.
Worse Batteries – Batteries will not hold charge, if you want to use it the batteries are always dead. Even if you charge them they will not last that long. My 15yr old 12V AEG is much better in any way than this brand new Bosch. Don't be fooled if you thing that Bosch is a A-Brand because it has this name (German has to be good), it is complete rubbish! It is a shame that Bosch sells junk like this.
Battery doesn't hold charge – Batteries don't hold charge after one month, Bosch is no longer made as used to be, I had a cordless Back and Decker that lasted 10 years, but this Bosch became useless after one month, I have to charge it after 2 minute use. Waste of money, and the batteries are more expensive than the whole kit.
Good – Prior to this drill I owned a Ryobi, and in comparison the Bosch is all over it. Can highly recommend this drill for home use and would definitely buy this brand again. Great piece of gear. I have owned one for 12 months now and have never had a problem. Long battery time between charges, lightweight and plenty of power.Comes with two Li-on… Read more
batteries that are quick charging and hold the charge for months, and also has a handy light to illuminate the drilling area. Not much really. The only annoying thing is that if the bit is not firmly tightened in the chuck it works loose while drilling or screwing, but I guess that applies to all drills.
