Very disapointing from Bosh – We bought this model just over two years ago and it just died. The board was playing up for at least 3 months but we thought it'd go away. We thought Bosh build great quality product as we also have a series 6 dishwasher. Sadly, we will not be buying another Bosh product. Show details

Cleans well, but not quite perfect – Bought from appliancesonline.com.au on a good deal. Good quality built machine from a usually reliable brand. It is a quiet machine. When using in on the cold setting, it draws very little power. Mainly used in mixed load function, which cleans quite well. Only negative so far, after 6 months, is that it seems to wear out the clothes more than other washing machines.  Show details ·  1

New motor and circuit board needed less than 2 years – Was a fantastic product but less than two years the motor had to be replaced due to being “rusty” and the circuit board had to be replaced also. I wonder if I was sold a dodgy machine as I see it’s been discontinued now. Bosch will not give any further warranty on the machine now or for the parts. Bit of a worry really! Have contacted consumer affairs.  Show details

I love my washing machine – My new Bosch front loader was installed a week ago & has worked very hard catching up on the backlog of washing which had accumulated. It is the perfect size for 2 adults & has a great range of programs which can be personalised for temperature & spin speed if required. It is also very quiet which is important for me as my machine is in the kitchen.  Show reply

Disappointed – I had to replace my older model bosch ( 3 years ) at short notice because the glass door was smashed. Unfortunately saw these reviews after i had paid already, thought some were a bit exaggerated cause my old one ran perfectly daily for years This newer model however seems to have a loud Knocking noise when in spinning mode which i noticed during the Pre Wash Cycle. With nothing inside the Barrel. Might have to Return this one  Show details

Very pleased with purchase – I have only just purchased the machine, and completed two washes to date, but I wanted to write a review because I had used Product Review as a tool for decision making when buying a new washing machine. So far, I could not be happier with my purchase. The Bosch machine replaced a Samsung washer/dryer combo. Although the Samsung was mostly… Read more ·  1

reliable for approximately 10 years, it had received a beating over the years, and was nearing the end of its life-cycle. In purchasing a new washing machine, considerations I was looking for were first, and foremost, being quiet during operation, and also an ability to select alternate temperatures and spin speeds within the model's pre-designated programs. When its comes to doing laundry, my methods are really rough and ready, so I was also looking for a certain robustness in the machines capabilities.

Two loads down, the Bosch has not only met my specifications, but exceeded my expectations. Compared to my previous Samsung, the Bosch's dimensions are smaller. I was also pleasantly surprised to discover that the time for a regular cotton wash is more than an hour less (Bosch = 1h33m, Samsung = 2h47m). The seal insider the door is made from thicker rubber than my previous machine. The controls are streamline, and can be understood intuitively from years of using other washing machines. Even though I had no need for the operating instructions, I did have a look at them post-use. The format and layout is straightforward. With over 25 years of regularly using various washing machines, I can say that the Bosch is the most quiet machine I have come across. Is this due to advances in technology, and all machines are now quiet? I don't know. If quietness is desired, the Bosch definitely meets that criteria.

In general, I've observed through my investigations that an issue many people have with front loaders is the length/time of wash cycles compared to top-loaders. This Bosch is the third front-loader I have owned. I'm a complete front-loader convert. For someone like me that views laundry as an unfortunate necessary evil, the higher quality outcomes from more gentle washing at elevated temperatures in front-loaders far outweighs the short wash cycles of top-loaders. It's not like I have to beat clothes on river rocks for the extra amount of time.

Good washing machine – I have owned it for 18 months now. So far, it is doing great job for three of us. It may not be super quite, but does not vibrate much. It only requires cold water input. It automatically adjust water temperature. 15 min quick wash is really good option. It washes pretty well, too. One thing annoys me is a cleaning filter. When I turn and open… Read more ·  1

filter, excessive water flows out and spills to the floor. I was quite surprised on this.. Otherwise I am satisfied with its performance and quality so far.

Have to clean filter after every wash, massive amount of water comes out of the filter – Hi, I have had this Bosch washing machine for 7 years, it went all well until recently I found I have to clean/drain the filter (right bottom when you are facing the washing machine) after every use, otherwise it doesn't spin properly (clothes still quite wet). Every time when I drain the filter, there is massive amount of water come out. What… Read more ·  3

could be the problem? I'd like to check if repair for this problem costs a lot then I might just go get a new one.

I love my new machine – I love my new Bosch washing machine and I am really happy with it. Easy to use, washes my clothes well, quiet and I love the cottons cold wash. This is my third front loader so I have got some idea what others are like and this model is great. buyer beware – Washed clothes well enough, after 6 years,(two of which we were overseas), the drum broke off it's bearings and the machine is finished.( frontloader) We had a Fisher and Paykel toploader for over 12 years that was a great machine, we had three young kids, so it got plenty of work. I would not buy a Bosch appliance again.

Worst Customer Service BOSCH!! – My washing packed up under warranty. It took over 4 weeks to get another replacement. I was on the phone at least 10 times and was told that Bosch has a paperwork procedure that needs to be followed that is why it takes so long. I was hand balled from person to person with excuses. Got my washing machine eventually received a survey on how it… Read more

all went and told them that I was bitterly disappointed and not even a reply!!. Today my new machine has packed up again, probably only a minor fault, and was told that a in house service person can only come out next Thursday!! All my kitchen appliances and laundry facilities are from BOSCH. We are renovating our house in the coming year and all BOSCH equipment will be flying out the door. Previously I swarmed about BOSCH to all my friends and family but now I am only criticizing them due to the bad customer service I have received. Where is the German efficiency that I was accustomed too whilst living in Germany. Bye bye BOSCH. Hello Gaggenau or Miele.

Don't buy – I purchased this and had it delivered two days ago.. I previously had an 8kg Simpson.. This can only maintain a fraction of the load albeit it is 7kg.. But it requires about 5 times as much use to get a normal load done. And then it either is saturated with water.. I have low water pressure but was advised that this is okay.. Or it has no saturation. Three days in and my head has been done!

Problem with control module circuit board – I have paid a lot for this front loader washer from Bosch. Thinking that it was a good buy. But I have change the control module circuit board twice and this is the third time. I only have this washer for two years. Horrible design and I will not recommend anyone buying bosch washer. Very very disappointed with Bosch.

Worst Buy ever – I bought this machine on 30/01/15. We live in a small country town 450km from the nearest service center and 650km from the shop we bought it from. After 2 washes the motor blew. I have been fighting to have a motor sent to me so that I can change it but Bosch do not want to know. I have since bought a new motor at my cost. I think this is very poor service from Bosch. I thought I was buying a good machine.

Worst washing machine I ever had – Had this machine for less then 2 months, absolutely hate it. I use "easy care" or "mixed load" programs, and the length of wash cycle is anything between 17-35 min, depending on water temperature selected. It rinses only 2x and in not enough water (1 & half buckets per rinse). On the other hand "cottons" program takes far too long and is not necessary for majority of clothes.Bosch doesn't want to know.

Still very good – Before I start, I have to clarify that I have a little storage unit that specially houses laundry equipments hence noise is not an issue in my household. I have had this machine since May 2013 and it's easily self-installed. I have been using it for at least once a week since and it has never given me a single problem. There are many wash cycles… Read more ·  1

and timings to choose from and I am happy that each wash takes more than an hour to complete. All wash (Cottons setting) finishes clean, fresh and very dry (1100rpm), so much so that clothings are dried overnight when left to dry indoor on drying racks. I usually pack the machine to the max and yet the results are consistently good. Would gladly recommend this front loader washing machine to anyone who doesn't require ultra fancy wash cycles and nope, I am not a Bosch employee :-)

Hate, Hate, Hate this machine – I had a Fisher & Paykel top loader washer that was over 10 years old . It finally stopped working so I thought I would get a front loader washer because they are enery efficient and save water. This is the worst machine I have used! The clothes don't smell fresh after being washed. Towels are like cardboard. Sounds like a plane taking off when spinning.

Happy so far – We've only had it for a week, but so far so good. And at $690 installed, it['s definitely a reasonably-priced Bosch. The recommended washes are all around the 1-1.5 hr mark in duration and the 1100RPM spin cycle leaves the clothes ready for a quick air dry but still wrinkle-free. The clothes definitely feel and smell cleaner, and so far it has… Read more

been really gentle on my delicates and wool items too.

When I considered using the "intensive" button (recommended for extra-dirty clothes), the washing time more than doubled to 3.75 hrs, which was a bit strange. And the "detergent meter" that comes as an added insertable for the tray comes with a warning to remove it after every wash - which requires removing the whole detergent tray. Also, don't expect much from the manual in terms on help setting up your machine - it's very basic.

When I asked one of the sales people the main difference between the German- and Asian-built Bosch, he assured me that they were still made of the same components and primarily machine-built. I suppose time will tell. Quiet, cleans well, energy efficient Intensive cycle, no time delay option
