Otherwise, the 15/30 quick cycles are great for just your few tshirts for the week, or sweaty gym gear, and the other longer washes will do fine for most clothes.

I haven't had any trouble with the seal or drying it out, but I've made a habit of leaving the door open after a wash, and occasionally wiping out inside the rubber seal (and checking for any socks it might've sucked in. Hasn't happened yet.)

One other gripe is small items (like my wife's washable breastfeeding pads) can sometimes flop up onto the rim of the door, and if toward the end of the cycle will be sopping wet, while everything else has been spun dry. Not a big deal, but a little irritating.

Towels do come out a little crunchy, but that's normal with front loaders, so don't worry about that.

Overall I am very happy with the washer, it's very efficient, and uses much less water than our top loader did.

On reporting it to Bosch again, after much frustration, and many many times of mopping our laundry floor. Bosch have arranged a second technician to review, and we're now being advised to use a different powder, that just so happens to be four times the price of a standard powder???

Therefore in closing, a word of warning, be careful what you choose to spend you $720 on a Bosch, as I would have rather take my chances with a second hand washer, that might leak for a fraction of the cost.... Very disappointing.....

Electrolux used to do! The 1200rpm top spin speed does a really good job of draining the clothes before they come out and, not sure why, but my towels are coming out much fluffier than they have in years! The "Ready in..." option is a really handy, easy-to-use feature as it means you have your washing done and ready to hang out first thing to maximise the winter sun drying window. It's also quiet enough that it doesn't wake you up even at full revs so this feature is actually useable. Being a bloke, I often discover that a sock has gone rogue on the way to the washing machine so having the ability to pause and unlock the door after a cycle has started, so that I can throw it in, means that my socks are staying in pairs far more successfully than at any point in my life to date!

I'm also optimistic that this machine will last a long time as it's not overly complex and seems very well engineered. The Electrolux I had previously started going wrong after just 2.5 years as it would stop and beep at you every five minutes and demand about ten restarts to get through a wash - extremely frustrating - but I'm quietly confident that this Bosch machine will do its job for the long haul! I'll be back on here if it doesn't!!!

My only criticism, and this is a small one, is that if you use washing liquid, it flows straight out of the compartment as you pour it in. This means that if you still have the door open it drips down the door and onto the floor. Now this might not actually be a fault with the machine, it might be a fault with the owner and installers. I had the machine put in by the great guys at Appliances Online, who also took away my old one, and there is a blue plastic "thingy" that came with the washing draw that none of us could work out how to fit. It's currently sitting neglected in the washing liquid compartment but isn't actually "fitted" so this might be why the liquid runs straight through before the wash cycle is started. There was nothing obvious about it in the manual but I'm happy for Bosch to advise, if you're reading this, what it might be for and how it fits!

have a fear it might leak. I think it is a design fault. Cos, the leak comes out through the outlet from the detergent drawer during the spin cycle. But thankfully Applianceonline (where I bought the machine from) and Bosch, was very helpfull give me a refund for this machine.

Great Quality Washing Machine – This machine is recommended by my mother-in-law, and I don’t regret buying it at all. It’s more that enough for family of 4 and it’s not that noisy compare to our old one. It cleans and rinse my clothes very well (of course the quality of laundry liquid is also important). Terrible customer service – I am so disappointed with this machine. Bought it a few months a go and it stanis all my clothes. They believe it is not a manufacturer guaranty! totaly change the color of clothes one shade darker! Ofcourse cuatomer service trying to just repeat themselves and don't care about the customer and all they do is trying to save money for their company, won't care u paid $700 on a washing machine 7 months a go and expect it to work properly! Front loader not really the best! – I should bought top loader instead. First, because it give you more space. Average quality – It is quite loud, especially whenever it starts to spin. The choice for mix-clothes is not flexible as the shortest time it takes is 44 minutes, which is too long when I'm in a rush. On the positive side, the strongest spin is 1000 and my clothes haven't shown any sign of worn-out. However, I still find the clothes are not as clean as I expected given the long time it takes to wash.  Show details

Good so far – Brought this for the misses about a month ago so far she likes it,pretty quiet I've had to check if its actually still running ,15 min quick wash works well I have noticed some dry spots on clothes sometimes full loads long wash ,where not overloading it but still most times seams to wash very well, Show details

front loader, however I recommend that you use the the Bosch front loaders because it is less expensive and thus allows you to stick with the one brand over time.

We found the Good Guys Oxley were good to deal with and we bought the machine at a run-out price.

Excellent Product by Bosch – Very well priced and designed by German Company. Very water efficient and does large enough load for me. Probably too many settings for my usage as I only use three of the functions. The timer is handy as I load in at night and set it to go in the morning. Superb washing machine – I got one of the WAK24160's to replace my old Bosch Maxx900. The new machine is quieter, a lot faster and washes better which I always thought would be nearly impossible. really awesome – bought it i think couple of years back and still going good.. we wash atleast 7 loads a week and nothing has every happend to it.. cleaing the machine it self is a bit trickey but I think money well spent.. would recommend it to any one without any hesitation.. It uses so much less water, still clothes come out nice and clean. And it's a lot quieter than my old piece, I even run it at night :)

the option to easily stop and restart the machine if you want to add something after it's started. I even like the fact that it bleeps a few times at the end of the program to remind me to take the washing out - after about three reminders it goes silent so it isn't a disturbance. Good washer at affordable price – This washer is a good one which functions well at an affordable price. It can handle as much as 7kg load and it also has very short cycle that is only 15 mins, which is really convenient for small items. Fabulous machine – Very happy with this machine. It washes clothes beautifully & does so whisper quietly. Only slightly annoying thing is all small items need to be contained in a wash bag to avoid getting stuck in the filter - we've had our brand new machine require a service for this. Excellent washer, very quiet – This front load washer is so quiet that we hardly know it is even on in the next room. it is gentle on clothes as you can adjust the speed at any washing option and seem to be doing a good job cleaning the clothes. Very good for its price. A bit noisy – It is simple to use. A lot of functions. Clothes came out dry enough to just hung indoor. However, its spin cycle is always too noisy for me.
