Pros: quiet,efficient and solid.

Overall: We recently moved into a new house and thought an underbench front loader would maximise our bench space in the laundry. We looked at several on the market in detail and had lots of discussions and we are so glad we decided on this one.I love the cycle,speed,and temperature choices and it is so quiet-I'll often go in to see if it's really on!Clothes come out well and carefully washed-for super dry I just choose an extra spin cycle. Water use is efficient and it is is easy to use.We haven't had any issues with it so far and don't expect any either.

Pros: Washes well, quiet.

Cons: Unreliable, bits falling off it, plastic cracking, expensive to repair, poor support!

Overall: Great machine when it works. Unfortunately I have had ours for 3 years and it has been repaired 5 times. Now out of warranty they want over $1000 to fix it again. It also took over a week to get someone out to look at it. Customer service no help as usual: "I'm sorry Sir we cannot do anything until we get it in writing." Not very helpful when a weeks worth of laundry is piling up for a family of 5. I've run out of jocks!!!

I am tossing it out and going to buy a Meile today!

Cons: Expensive. Noisy. Unreliable.

Overall: Error code F18 keeps on coming up for no apparent reason that I can find. I keep on having to empty all the water out and checking the filter. Never anything there. Then trying to get to 'Rinse and freshen up' or just spin takes several attempts. I just want to do my washing, not grovel on the floor emptying water out of the machine. I bought Bosch because I thought that they had a good reputation. I am not impressed. Probably something wrong with the chip that controls it.

Pros: very reliable, very energy efficient, easy to use

Cons: when the washing cycle is finished, you need to leave the door open (for the machine to "air") or it can grow a black mold around the rubber seal

Overall: The best purchase I ever made, it is an excellent washing machine, yes the spin cycle can be a bit noisey, but then at 1400rpm, what do you expect. I've had my machine for 4 years now and I've not had a single problem with it.

Pros: it performs very well for the 1st year of the machine life.

Cons: very bad Bosch trained technician, expensive machines but worst customer service!

Overall: I upgraded my washing machine from electrolux to German-made Bosch logixx 8. It's a huge mistake I ever made.
I should have stick to my old electrolux which is cheaper and do the same job.

1. The Bosch machine is quiet but not when it's on spinning. It has a loud noise like airplane taking off. And it's spin performance went down after 1 year. The rubber seal for the door starts growing black mold. The door sometimes couldn't engage properly.

2. Rang the after-sale service to report the faults-the mahcine is still under warranty. They sent out a helpless technician, who wasts my time and money.
He didn't do anything to the door engaging problem, neither to the spin issue, except asking us to pay for a replacement of the rubber seal, which should be free under goodwill.

3. I paid for the rubber seal, however, the technician did a crappy job. Just over one month, the rubber seal is torn and a stink smell occurs to my washing machine.
I report the problem to Bosch, the same technician came out and did not fix the problems but blaming it's my fault to cause the torn seal and smelling washing machine. He was unhappily willing to replace another seal for me.

4. Worst, I rang Bosch to place a complaint about what the technician did, customer service are very tough and not neutural to deal the issue. I have to fight for my right, then they finally agreed to send a different technician. Meanwhile I am waitig for a reply, if the machine is damaged caused by the rubber seal is not under warranty!

5. One more, ring Bosch and get someone to talk to you, the average waiting time is more than 30 minutes!

Pros: Quiet, washes and rinses really well. Saves detergent by indicating how much to use.

Cons: The loud beep when the wash is finished but on the plus side at least you know when it is finished.

Overall: I agree totally with jmsyd. We also did our homework and settled on this for energy and water efficiency and for making less noise. We are very happy with this machine. It works well and has great program options. It is everything we need.
