Over 10 years old and still going – My Bosch series 6 washing machine is now 11 years old. The heating element has just died in it is all otherwise it still washes cold ok. We are currently researching replacing the element to he that going again. I have used it most days and weekends several times a day. We also have bore water which isn’t kind to it but it’s still going good. Show details
Total disappointment!!! – Purchased the machine in 2015, first time having a front loader. Within the first 6months the mother board had to be replaced. I have had 'bad smell' issues with the machine from about 12months on. About 2 weeks ago I noticed the machine was making loud knocking noises. I checked everything, it wasn't unbalanced it was just moving slightly from… Read more
front to back?? I called a local repairer and was told "just throw it away, its too expensive to fix". I got through to Bosch and they booked me in with one of their repair companies (worked out to be the the same one that told me it couldn't be fixed over the phone) They came while I was at work (neighbour had to let them in) and told me that one (of 3) arm of the spider bracket was broken, was too expensive to fix but that I could keep using it. I used it for the first time today and it is banging really bad, has a burning smell and is really loud.... So getting it checked really stuffed it up!!! The machine is 7 years old and has been looked after (my last 2 washing machines were 18 years old when I updated them! Granted they were top loaders, but again well looked after) I am totally disgusted and disappointed. Why make something so disposable?? It was not a cheap machine but obviously that doesn't give any guarantee of quality and the names that used to be known for quality cannot be trusted anymore.
Bosch avantiXX front loader washing machine – We have had this machine for over 8 years and everyday it stinks of mould. When the machine is finished water collects at the drum opening everyday whether you have washed or not. Water is collecting inside somewhere hence the smell, rotten. I clean wash the drum reguarly and every two weeks it stinks and wipe it out everyday. Otherwise it works well would not buy again! Show details

Door seal problem – I purchased this machine in 2013. We have a medium work load family (2 adults 2 kids) ad our Bosch Advanitxx machine gets used at least once a day, and multiple times on the weekends. The first door seal developed a tear at the bottom, we though that it was a user problem (like an item being caught in the door during operation). I spoke to a… Read more
technician about a replacement out of warranty and it was half the cost of the machine. I looked up a few YouTube videos on how to replace, and decided to do it my self. We purchased a ‘genuine Bosch’ door seal kit. The seal we purchased fit but looked like it was for a different model, and has an extra tube silicone sealed up. This door seal lasted about 12 months before a new leak appeared. The silicon rubber at the top appeared to be stretching and a pin hole had appeared. We did a silicone repair on this, but within 2 months the thin gasket developed more pin holes. I have since purchased another door seal kit from a Bosch reseller. This has not faulted. All in all the machine is very good quality and continues to be the work horse of the Laundry. My reservation about buying another one when it’s life is over will be the quality of the door seal.
Excellent machine – Over the years we have had many brands (Fisher&Paykel, Miele, Simpson) in both top loader & front loading variants. I wont ever buy a F&P again, Miele is overpriced and Simpson isn't what it used to be. This machine has loads of options and does a fair job at cleaning our clothes. The ONLY reason it did not get 5 stars is as others have commented… Read more · 1
about the bloody beeping!!! I've managed to disable button beeps, but try as I have I simply cannot disable the end of cycle reminder.
It has (or had) an issue with towels also, but we've (through process of elimination) stopped it from over foaming. As we wash our towels separately it would always foam up during spinning, then fill again, then drain, then try to spin again over and over... We came to the conclusion that because towels probably have a degree of soap already on them (from use) that we should lower the detergent amount, we also only wash them on the coldest cycle. Being that we are exclusively on tank water (which is traditionally soft water) means even less detergent is needed to make suds.
Overall this is a great machine and will probably buy another Bosch when this one packs it in.
Fantastic machine – I have had the Bosch Avantixx for just over a year, and on average use it at least once daily. I love the different program options, that can be further adjusted to meet your washing needs. It is easy to use and very stylish. I also am amazed at how quiet it is. The extra wide door is great for ease of loading and unloading. I am glad however that… Read more · 1
after reading a review before I bought mine, the review advised to leave the door open between washes, which I have done to prevent mildew. My sister in law bought the same machine, around the same time and did not know to leave the door open, her door rim is now black with mildew, mine is still like new. I have on occasion, noticed the washing hasn't spun out on the 1400 spin cycle. I'm not sure if this is me or the machine, I will have to check the manual. I mostly use the "mix" cycle with a spin of 1000. The clothes always come out spotless. It is also useful to have the alarm to say when the cycle is finished. Overall I am very pleased with the machine and would recommend it.

Excellent durable machine – Purchased 6 years ago from Harvey Norman. Still going strong. Washes clothes well. Uses less water. It's quite and solid built. I use it mix of clothes. No complaints at all Show details · 1
Great machine issues with setting temp. 4 years old – Have a similar problem with the control panel when changing water temp down it will change the delay start option. After turning it off then on after a few minutes most times will fix this issues, however it is annoying. I see that another person has had a similar issues but last i read they were still trying to get it fixed. Eisenmedany solutions? Show details · 1
Very happy – Bought couple of years ago to replace not very old but stop working Whirlpool one, we're very happy with this washing machine, always working well, not like the Whirlpool one, stop working if you washed more than once a day, there was only one issue in the last couple of years -- but that's because we didn't know we should clean the pump filter regularly. Worst machine longevity I've ever experienced – Purchased the machine in 2013 for roughly $1,000. A part (one I can't recall) perhaps the drainer, stopped working. Paid around $300 to fix it. Flash forward to 2020 (during the lockdown) the machine developed a terrible noise. Ball Baring has gone, after 7 years!!! Cost to fix = $600. Waste of time speaking with Bosch, they offered nothing… Read more
of any value (other than a %50 discount off another machine). At the same time, our Bosch dishwasher (we rent our home) died too - after roughly 3 years!! - fixed under warranty. After these two, very poor experiences, I will never ever buy a Bosch product again. Time to look at Asko or Fisher & Paykel for my next washing machine.
Door seal issues – Getting rid of it, flooded our laundry due to delicate seal. Constant mould within seal, bad design. Should not have to always leave door open which we do and then clean the seal. Seal is too fragile. Going back to top loader. Do not but. Show details
Broken Paddle – Within months one of the paddles inside the drum broke off. The unit had to be changed over. Water was spilt from the old unit over my floors and over a rug during the removal along with scratches to the timer floor. The washing machine also pools water after each wash in the plastic seal by the door and wets clothing as it’s pulled out. The child lock setting is inefficient. Show details

Major problem - writeoff – Houshold of only 2 and rainwater only used. Machine looks brand new, well taken care of. Now repair man has advised that bearing has gone and needs to be replaced, along with the whole drum at a cost more than $800. Not worth fixing. Purchased 2013. Expected Bosch usual high standard but machine is Made in China. This information on small panel on back of machine. Show details

Door Seal problem – Bought it just over 3 years ago, the door rubber seal torn and water leaks during washing. I got a quote of $250 so I accepted his offer 't but he told me that the seal is more expensive than other machine seals. So he added another $50. If the seal is not strong enough why Bosch should sell the seal reasonable price. Really disappointed about the seal but washing was fine. Show details
Rubber seal issues – Bought this washing machine 2 years ago. Rubber seal has mould and is now torn. I don't think the seal is of good quality. I wonder whether it has anything to do with it being a "Made in China" model. Water leaking during wash. Looking at replacing the rubber seal. Otherwise, it has been working okay. Show details

Bosch Front Loader very expensive repair – Nice looking machine and I bought it in 2014. I had been happy with it until the Power Button (on/off) failed. Cost just on $600 to replace. Labour and new board. Dreadful price considering it is 1/3 of he total cost of the machine. Think carefully about the cost of repairs and how quickly this machine failed as only two people use it. Great Washing Machine – This Bosch washing machine cleans clothes really well, it has different functions for the energy levels you use. It’s also has a very high water rating. Very happy with the job it does. We only use the cold cycle and the clothes are always clean. Would definitely recommend this machine. Show details · 1
not a value for the money – I bought this machine 2015. it seemed working ok and i happy but last month I fond water was leaking when I open the machine the rubber seal was torn out and fond there was a piece of hair. I could not believe a piece of hair could tear the rubber seal. It was a quite expensive brand and I expected a quality machine. When I used a LG washing… Read more
machine front road I never had this problem. LG was even way cheaper than Bosch. 4 years ago I bought a Bosch dishwasher and it was broken again. I did not get a value for the money and now regret I picked a Bosch oven for my new house. If the machines were broken before I picked a Bosch oven I would not pick it.
Still running good after 4 years – We normally either run normal wash or 15 mins express wash. As the washing machine is in the laundry room, we hardly hear anything at all. Most clothes are clean after one wash so I guess it is really good. The overall feel and make do stand out better than other asian brands. Show details · 1

Great washing machine – Cleans really well, great spin options (1400 RPM does make more creases, it's a trade-off) I do 1000 to 1200 mostly. Really good wash options. Not really what I would call an 8KG washer, it only does 8KG on the "kids" wash and this takes almost 3 hours! So most washes are 5-6KG. The 45-50 min wash is great for most of my washes, so this makes it… Read more · 1
pretty quick. It was a toss-up between Bosch and LG, Bosch was the only company that followed up on Product Review. I have had it for over one year now. So happy to write a good review, thanks Bosch!
Bosch? Nein! – We have been Bosch customers for a long time; for more than twenty years. Sadly any relationship can sour and ours certainly has. Not only is the 20-month-old unit shorting out, but the service technician cannot come for two weeks. So here it is: in two weeks we get to find out if our fault is a warranty issue or if we are out of pocket. In the… Read more
meantime the clothes will have to go to a laundomat. A two week wait is just not okay.
On the plus side the machine did an OK job right up until the time it failed. Still... 20-month life? 14 day wait for a technician?
Does this company care about its customers?
Will we Bosch again? Not bl*&^%y likely.

Mould grows around door – We have never had to clean our previous washing machines after use but apparently these front loaders capture water in the bottom of their door seal and if not wiped dry/clean will turn to mould.. Ridic.. had no idea of this issue, came from top loader to this and would go back to top loader when this dies. Show details

I've put up with broken seal and finally have had enough – I knew I had not mistreated the seal and now know it seems a common problem. My machine is over three years old. Seal broke about 18 mths ago but hubby siliconed it up. Now another break. On the side so can't be rough handling. I trust a replacement seal will not have the same problems Show details
This just work – Very stable washing process. Multiple setting includes speed temperature, duration and power usage. I have been using it a lot and there was no issue towards water drain and the clothes. The quality of this unit is fantastic, the metal is solid. This unit is heavy ~80 kg, and sits there like a god! Thumping noises during spin at 9 months old – Seems awfully soon for the washing machine to be playing up. I phoned Bosch customer support to be told that if the failure is deemed to not be a "manufacturing defect" I may be liable for the call out fee. Not happy with that advice at all. Let's see what happens when the "3rd party" technician comes out to assess the machine. P.S. Other… Read more
things I hadn't expected, and were less than ideal are that the machine often takes a lot longer than the initial estimated time to actually complete the wash and very few cycles support the headline 8kg load size.
Excellent til the 5 year mark! – In the first 1.5 the LCD panel stopped working - luckily still had warrantly. But now after only 5.5 years my machine stopped working mid cycle. Now doesnt even power on. Having a repair guy come next week to check out and give me a prognosis. Really disappointed that only after 5.5years I'm having to spend $$ or possible replace. Not the quality brand it once was known for. Real shame. Show details

High Quality Washing Machine – I purchased this washing machine due to Bosch having reputation for quality products, and I have not been disappointed. Various wash modes, and no issues in terms of cleanliness of clothes. Some wear on clothes, but I wouldn't say it's worse than any other machine I've used. So far I'm happy with the machine, and hope that it will continue to function for several more years. Show details · 1
Best washing machine I've ever had – We replaced this after a very old washer we had for over 10 years that we purchased from good guys. At that time we were starting out and deciding to spend more money. Workmates said for these appliances you can't go wrong with either Bosch or Miele. Bosch was considerably cheaper (but still expensive). Wash is silent Washes are brilliant -… Read more · 1
I wash my vibrams and they come out spotless. My old washer didn't get them completely clean.
Washes are consistently good. Just chuck it on the 45 minute setting and away you go
Good machine but seals keep breaking – We had a Bosch front loader at the sharehouse and I decided to get a second one when we bought the farm, the rubber door seal lasted around 12-18 months before failing under warranty, a small piece at the bottom broke off about the size of a 5c piece, so whenever you do a wash, it goes all over the floor. We eventually got Bosch to provide a… Read more · 1
replacement seal under warranty (but not the labour, so I fitted it myself). The replacement seal lasted about 6 months and the warranty had expired. Fortunately we had bought the extended warranty through Joyce Mayne/Domayne so they gave us a store credit for the full value of the machine.
Just about to buy an eBay seal for it and reuse it for washing horse rugs instead.
Good on water. Hard hard on clothes – Expensive machine, so you would expect no problems with it within the warranty period. Unfortunately, we had a piece of its' rubber seal rip off which deemed the machine unusable until it was fixed. It took 10 days to get it fixed which was annoying, but Bosch were good to deal with. The machine is great on water, we are on tank water, so it… Read more

Was fine until the control panel went haywire – Machine was fine, we spent over $1000 for a 7.5kg machine thinking it would last. Unfortunately just inside the warranty period the control panel started playing up. Pressing one button would also press the surrounding buttons, up to three at once! This made it impossible to control as pressing temp or spin speed would change the delay timer.… Read more
Called up and they said callout fee was something like $200 plus parts and labour. Would probably end up costing $500 to fix if you look at the cost of a new panel. Not worth it when i could get a brand new washer for not much more.

A bit dissapointing – At first I was extremely happy with my purchase. The front loading washing machine in comparison was a quality product at an affordable price if comparing to it's main competitor (namely Miele). Crappy Quality Seal, – My mum swears by her Bosch and has never had an issue so when i went to purchase a machine a didn't hesitate to buy a Bosch. Big Mistake apparently, the seal broke within three months and when i spoke to Bosch the advised it wasn't covered under warranty, i understand that over time seals break but 3 months old !!!! I would think that Bosch would put better quality seal that it would be durable. Show details
