Love it! Best investment ever – We had this product given to us as a christmas present 8 years ago . We have used it nearly every single day, the kids make toasties and give it a good rough banging around getting it in and out of the cupboard (they are like bulls in a china shop) I cook meat, bacon egg breakies even pancakes! Unfortunately the thermostat in it has started to… Read more

Would not buy another – First one lasted 3 months ,thermostat failed burnt out.Replaced under warranty 3 months later. Replacement overheated even when set @75%, unit now stinks of overheating. Tends to trip the earth leakage circuit breakers and thermostat is not very reliable. Not exactly high usage on our part probably three times a week on 3/4 high setting and a few sandwiches. Coating discoloured badly, Both units.

Built to make great café style food – Have owned the Breville Health Smart Grill & Sandwich Press for the last 3 years or so and have loved its ability to keep on plugging away year after year! Have made some cracker toasties, steak sandwiched and wraps on this press and even cooked meats like steak and kangaroo without even needing to flip meat as it cooks both sides to seal in… Read more

the moisture so no 'dry' meats.

The unit is mostly made of metal and cast alloys and is heavy, however not on the unmanageable side - if you cook cleanly you can avoid the task of a thorough clean up job. Mostly I clean up the press with dish cloths while it's still hot as the teflon releases most of the scum off the surfaces. Easy to use and terrific heat dispersion - no cold spots. Easy to clean and teflon has lasted. Weighty - a good sign of quality! No issues yet with it at all!

Excellent – Really love this product, easy to use, easy to clean and heats quickly. The plate is spacious enough for four normal sandwiches. Looks sleek, cord wraps underneath for easy storage Nothing yet

We use ours all the time and wouldn't like to be without it now – We've had our Breville HealthSmart Grill for at least 2 years, perhaps longer and use it on a regular basis for sausages, hamburgers and steak. I find it to be a really good size for 3 adults and it's surprising how much grease is collected in the attached drip tray - that has to mean your food is more healthy with all that unwanted fat being… Read more

discarded.

After so much constant use, the coating on the grille plate has become slightly damaged. It's quite heavy to lift and a bit of a nuisance to clean but I feel that the advantages of using it far outweigh these small annoyances.

One of the light covers did fall off but a bit of superglue soon fixed that.

All in all a good appliance.

Excellent – I bought this a few years ago and it is still going strong. Other members of my family have knocked off the two little light covers and broke one of the tabs that secure the drip tray so it's looking worse for wear, but that would seem to be a product of user carelessness than product design. It cooks things like chicken and fish very quickly… Read more

and in a significantly reduced time than a regular gril or oven.

I was origionally looking at the George Forman product, but alarming reviews and poor quality steered me away from that very quickly.

It has deep channels which do indeed drain well in use, but it can take a little while to clean (though the supplied contoured scraper does help).

It is definitely a solid machine with good build quality and is definitely recommended. Does exactly what it says. Variable heat and good size. A bit on the heavy side, can be arduous to clean.

Excellent – I've had this grill & sandwich press for a few years now and it's great. Love the fact that it does what it's supposed to and makes both grilled sandwiches and cooks meat really well. It's relatively easy to clean, however, if you cook marinated meats, the ribbed top plate gets all stuffed up. The plastic juice collecting dish is removable and… Read more

can be placed into dishwasher. After a couple of years of extensive use mine can not now be attached to the grill as the plastic holders have broken off. But it can still be used as even unattached it sits very close to the grill and collects the juices with no drips.

Overall, this was an excellent buy and sturdy, good quality, versatile product. Heats quickly, adjustable temperature, large plate heavy
