Bridgestone Potenza GIII

Below average performance tyre – I had high hopes for the GIII when I put them on the front of my AE111 Toyota Levin BZ-G. They had big shoes to fill as I'd had Michelin PS & Potenza S02 on the car previously. They turned out to be an utter disappointment. In the wet my 160HP 4AGE would make the 205/45R16 break traction by about 3000rpm then they would just spin up to the 7800rpm redline. The 195/50R15 Michelin in comparison would hold on until at least 6K-7000rpm
As a budget performance tyre I guess they're reasonable quality & you could buy a lot worse. Thankfully they have been replaced buy the Asymmetric RE001/RE002 range although they still live on as the MY01/MY02 Better than Nankang Noisey, poor grip in wet under hard acceleration
Excellent – I bought these tires after reviewing several options i.e. Yokohama DB, Dunlop SP9000. The price is right $200 for a set of four. Good cornering, effective braking, steering feels lighter slight skid when straight line braking
Good – Its the second time i have this tyres on my mini van(town &country2000).Until now,for mi,the best tyres i had.i had Falken they are good too and in the same price.I had Maxxis(the worst i ever had on all my cars, never again).I would recommend this tires. It is not importent the noise, importent is the grip(in all situation)and the price. Good grip on wet and try street.Realy good price. Still dont know.
Good – A good tyre for performance enthusiast but if affordable, sell it when its is half-life as the noise it makes as it wears out is quite irritating. Good performance in terms of grip eg.turning fast corners and good in wet conditions as well. As the tyres wears, it will give out loud noise, very noticable.
Excellent – Excellent tyre, and excellent sales backup. Bought the originall 710 which changed to the 711 then to the GIII as they changed and advanced the composition. Nothing but praise about this tyre, ever since we had a bad experience with low cost tyre, never going back to cheap crap. Service is also excellent, with the tyre service handbook, tyre rotations and free stuff in book. Used on wifes BA Falcon, and was used on my TR V6 Magna. Excellent water dispersion, value for money Continuous change in the composition, not always a bad thing but they never tell you what they change, currently tread wear rating has changed from previous set.
