Good looking and long lasting – The Bridgestone Potenza R001 tyres that I purchased for my car are of the highest quality and very good price. The guys at Bridgestone South Morang were very experienced and provided me with only the highest quality tyres and service. The car was ready when they said it would be and gave me an excellent price. I would recommend them and the quality tyres they sell to anyone.  Show details

Rubbish!!! – I miss my Potenza G3s! These slip, in the dry, in the wet, hardly have any grip at all!!!!! Looking for my next set now. Was it fixed in the RE002s? Or should I switch brands?? hmmm

Bridgestone Adrenalin Potenza - low km tyre – 12,500km on this set and the rears are on tread indicator with the fronts being 4mm away...2010 WRX, no track days but spirited occasional country (sealed road) driving. Very dissapointing. Having ridden motorbikes for 15 years i accept tyre wear as a trade off for traction and safety...but this is taking that a bit far. Good cornering stability Very low kn tyre

Best Tyre for my car – I have a 98 Toyota Caldina AWD Turbo wagon. It goes hard and fast and I have tried a variety of different tyres on it during it's life. I had a set of GIII's on it at one stage and I thought they were the best till I bought the Adrenalin's. I'm running 215/45/17 and the car hasn't missed a beat since. they have been on for over a year and are… Read more

wearing very well.

They get lots of wet weather driving and they haven't lost traction at all and I don't slow down in the wet. I push the car and the tyres have responded quite well. I don't know what others are doing to have such terrible reviews, I can't fault them in the wet or the dry. I live in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney and it rains here a lot. My only criteria for a tyre is it's wet weather handling.

These top the list. The GIII's were amazing and the Yokohama C drives were great too on my old Corolla but nothing has touched the Adrenalins. I've had Goodyear Eagle F1's (so so) on it, Marangoni Mythos (rubbish), Bridgestone GIII's and the Adrenalin's. I'm looking at replacing them in the next few months but haven't found anything that stacks up to them in the wet. Wet weather handling, wear, cost.

Terrible – Bad move buying them. I'm going to ditch them after 10,000 kms... They have turned a great car into a soggy, spongy ride. I am very disappointed. Can't think of any. Soft side walls make the car seem to have ADHD... just kept getting side tracked on a straight road. Tramlining is bad. Spongy feeling like the tires are half flat. I noticed a difference straight away. Almost went back and swapped them back for my bald RE040s

Rubbish Tyres from Bridgestone - Adrenalin Potenza RE001 – My Merc B180 shipped with Bridgestone Potenza RE050 Tyres but a sidewall puncture forced me buy a new tyre and given that the identical Potenza's were not available, I had to replace two of 'em. The dealer (www.donnellans.com.au) sold me the Adrenalin Potenza RE001 and they have proved to be rubbish tyres. The two remaining RE050s have plenty of… Read more

tread left after 49,000 Kilometers but the RE001s are as bald as a billiard ball after 30,000 Kilometers. Unlike the RE050s, the RE001s rubber is visibly deteriorating with cracks like a parched riverbed. The RE001s sidewalls are also soft and that makes for a spongy ride. I took the tyres to Bridgestone's head-office (Derrimut) and got told that: "our product is flawless its the customer that's always wrong" and that "the warranty doesn't apply if you don't have proof that you've maintained the tyres at 5000 km intervals."

Given Brdgestone's approach to Customer Service, I've decided against buying Bridgestone ever again. If mine is typical of the Bridgestone Brand Experience, then their Brand Promise is overstated. Chinese, Korean or Indian tyres would have given me equally poor performance as Brudgestne for a lot less money. I think I'd go Pirelli for my next set of tyres...

***Reminder to Bridgestone - The customer is always right!

Poor treadwear, spongy ride, terrible customer service, expensive

Good – Good tyre, provides marginal improvement in handling to the Turanza but braking improvement is immense! I still dont know how I pulled off a 50kmh MAX corner I had mistaken for a 90kmh corner, I was staring around the corner of this walled in turn pike I though was a sweeper but infact was a U turn at almost 100kmh. Time slowed and I imagined… Read more

instantly me understeering straight into the wall, I have almost no recollection of the corner it was that hard! I swear by these tyres and am dismayed by the previous review. An awesome tyre, saved me twice! I dont think my Pirelli P Zeros are as good!

Bad – I fitted these tyres to both my cars close to the same time, one being a Mini Cooper S & the other being a C200 Kompressor. I have found on both vehicles now have less tyre grip the the old worn out Pirelle tyres I had on both before, & that's in the dry. Have become dangerous in the wet, especially in the Mini. Even in a straight line in the… Read more

dry, put the pedal down & they let go with ease. Initial grip was good. However after a few thousand k's grip is considerable less.

Terrible – How can a company that made the brilliant Potenza GIII's get it so wrong? Managed to spin all 4 wheels on a WRX in the wet and dry. Understeer was bad in the dry and dangerous in the wet. Never felt confident to push the car to the levels I know it can acheive. These tyres never saw any track work at all and were used daily and for spirited… Read more

driving through the Adelaide hills. In contrast the GIII's were literally melted on the track and still performed brilliantly wet or dry and for longer.

Lack of grip wet or dry. Too much sidewall flex. Tramlining. Less than 10,000kms tyre life before they were "slick"

Terrible – Do not trust your high performace car to these tyres I did and I no longer have it....Lost grip in the wet at 80K's in a 100k zone...I have been driving supercars for 15 years without issue on Faulkens, Conti's..in far worse conditions....I Will never trust a Bridgestone tyer again. Rubbish Grip on high performance cars

Excellent – I bought RE001 Adrenalins (205/55x16) to replace the OE Bridgestone ER30s on my Mazda6. These tyres are magic carpets, they do everything right. Wet & dry grip, stability at straight ahead, steering response, braking and general feeling of security are all fantastic, better than anything I’ve experienced. The car feels geared to the road. … Read more

They’re very quiet on all surfaces, ride is far better than the ER30’s, which rode like billycarts by comparison, and wear after 15,000km of mostly freeway driving appears minimal.

Nearly fell over when I looked at the sidewall and saw that they’re made in Oz, but balance is excellent and quality of manufacture appears to be spot-on.

I’ve been a Yokohama man for years, but these Adrenalins are something else. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Wet & dry grip, steering response, stability, low noise, handling, wear (so far)

Good – I drive an 1968 MGBGT. They've turned this very light little car into a monster. I admit in the wet the turn in speed due to side wall strength isn't what it could be. But I bought these tyres for $200 each fitted - absolute bargain for the high performance they do offer. If you want an all round tyre knowing that on the weekend your going to go… Read more

looking for quiet twisty roads - this is the one. my car is rear wheek drive and grip on take off is improved a great deal. side walls are a little soft

These are the tyres for me – I've had these on my MX-5 for several months and one track day so far. On the road (wet or dry) and on the track they are grippy, quiet and solid. Cornering is a dream - I haven't come close to pushing their limits. We have a second MX-5 and will be putting these on it as well. Great value tyre for a car that is a daily driver as well as an occasional track car. Grippy in wet and dry, quiet, solid feel Nothing - very happy with these tyres.

Excellent – Fitted a set of the Adrenalins (205/50 - 16) last week. Spent 2 good (fun) hours in 'brisk' 2nd,3rd and 4th gear corners around South Gippsland on Sunday and was really impressed. Not at all intrusive on the freeway down (and back). Overall stability was fantastic; straight line, holding a cornering line and in fast changes of direction. Turn-in… Read more

response was sharp. No real loading up of the fronts noticed in the slower corners. Grip levels felt very good and confidence grew with each corner. Didn't push hard enough to break grip (public roads) but my impression was that it would be fairly progressive when it happened. Dry roads only; look forward to seeing what they do in the wet. Overall a very, very good tyre. Already recommending them to buddies. (my99 WRX - Whiteline / KYB upgrades). Overall stability, turn in, grip, low-ish road noise. Not found any yet...

Good – I am using these on an 09 Forester XT (225/55/17). To say they have transformed the driving performance of this car is an understatement. The existing Geolandar OEM tyres are soft sloppy "safe" tyres and do not suit the XT at all when driven aggressively. The biggest change with the RE001's is cornering ability due to their flat tread design. Be… Read more

aware though this is not an ideal wet weather tyre but offers the best compromise for wet and dry situations. Excellent cornering, quiet at speed, hard wearing rubber compound Not an ideal tyre for aggressive wet weather driving

Terrible – If you're the kind of driver that, oh I don't know, expects performance tyres to actually perform well, do not buy these tyres. I am so disappointed with these tyres I am looking to replace them even though I've only done about 4000km on them, costly, but they are that bad. Those that are after performance should check out Sumitomo HTR Z III or… Read more

Yokohama Advan Sport.

If you're looking for a tyre that will just be ok and last a long time then these may just be the tyres for you. Grip is ok and the tyres seem to be wearing quite well as they are from a fairly tough compound. Being used to high performance tyres, I must say that I am incredibly disappointed with these tyres.

First and formost is the sidewalls. They are far too soft, which makes the responsiveness sluggish and the steering feel dull. Not at all what you want from a "performance" tyre. I have tried a range of different tyre pressures to combat this, though to no avail.

The grip is quite good (though there are tyres that grip a lot better) when the tyres are pushed to their limit in lateral grip, though again the steering doesn't feel precise enough to inspire much confidence.

Excellent – I personally think that these tyres are the best tyres i have evver used. I fitted these on my vehicle at my work (nissan Micra with heavy mods including full coilover suspension and brakes) and i must say from the first drive to now (7000klm) i would say that the grip they offer in all aspects is brilliant. They do not let go and they dont suffer… Read more

from and kind of understeer. Although i will admit the Micra is set up for race use with aggresive suspension setup. The sidewall gives a little flex like others have stated but in no way make the ride feel spongy. You need some sidewall flex or the car bounces all over the road. Like i said the best tyres i have used and will be a long time before anyone brings something out that i will consider giving a go. The cost of these tyres are great in comparrison to other performance tyres. Wet and Dry grip and overall stability of the tyre.

Excellent – Absolutely fantastic tyres that have changed the performance of my car drastically. The grip and handling that these tyres give you is unbelievable. Best tyres I have ever gotten, period. They do cost a premium, but if you want the best, this is it. Wet & dry grip, low noise, handling, feedback, track performance Pricey
