Cons: ghis product should be name some thing else not canon dc 100 I cant belive it it stop working after one year use ,I thought it is going to be strong and stay for little while but now i will never buy canon again,I bought battery cost 100
Overall: it is a piece of garbag i will never buy canon product ever again so please if you have choice dont you ever buy canon thank you
Pros: The only benefit is its 16:9 aspect ratio viewing and recording! This should be on every $500 camera.
Cons: Over priced. Its just another cheap DVD recording single chip cam corder to take on holidays and then throw out.
Overall: Definately an older style product ultimately usefull for homes with no idea about video recording that just want to film birthdays and christmas. Great for the kids first camera to learn on, not realy worth more than $200 in most electronics discount stores.
Pros: i like Fast focusing, long zoom lens; solid image stabilization; decent low-light video; aperture- and shutter-priority exposure modes.
Cons: i dont like Fair-to-middling video quality overall; awkward navigation controls; poor still photos.
Overall: The standard controls--power, mode, and record--are located where your thumb naturally lands. The DC100 has no media slot for still images, but you can save stills to the DVD. Ironically, I found Canon's method for snapping stills--using the record button--induced far less shake than the typical dedicated photo-shutter button.
Cons: Has been in for repairs 4 times in less than twelve months, neither Harvey Norman nor Canon will take responsibility for replacing or refunding it! First the laser had to be replaced, then it stopped finalising disks, and the disk door stopped opening.
Overall: Promises so much and delivers so little. Purchased a trusted brand from a trusted retailer, now neither Harvey Norman or Canon will take responsibility for replacing or refunding it. Worked for only two weeks, and has been in for repairs 4 times since, still not working.
Pros: With a few 3" DVD-R/RW on my hand, I'm able to produce a documentary using Canon's DC100 camcorder. With various shooting modes: like under a bright sun or night time shots, or even sports events; Canon's 25X zoom lens is surefire ready to handle various situations.
Cons: How good is the DC100 on videos is the other way around for still (photo) shots. It should have been perfect the same way videos ought to be.
Overall: With fast autofocusing lens and built-in video effects, Canon sets itself into the limelight. The only thing that lacks in the DC100 is a remote control.
