Not bad but not a long livespan – We have had ours for 4 1/2 years and like the one we had before this one (also a cannon) it died. To me that is not a very long lifespan. In the 4 1/2 years it was a good little camera most of the time. The photos that were taken outside were a really nice quality. Inside photos were a bit disappointing. After about 2 years the switch that you can use to either take photos, make little movies or review them was playing up which resulted in missed opportunities for some nice photos.

Battery life was really good. Seem to take a long time before it was empty and even after all these years the battery itself does last longer than many other battery.

The camera itself is nice and compact. Not always as easy to work out, but good value anyway...that is if it would have lived a bit longer Nice compact camera with nice daytime photos. Good battery life. Night photos are not of good quality, One of the switches started playing up after 2 years and it died after 4 1/2 years

Good – I love this camera and take it with me everywhere. I would definitely recommend the IXUS for those wanting a compact and fast performing digital camera. Compared to other brands the IXUS is much easier to use. Photo quality is generally fine although performance in low light is disappointing. I also like using the video function. Quick processing, reliable, easy to use, attractive casing. Night shots do not turn out so well

Excellent – This was the first digital camera I purchased and I am still using it 3 years later. It takes really good pictures for a compact camera, is really lightweight so it's easy to pop in your handbag and take everywhere. It's very easy to use and if you're keen there are a number of manual settings you can adjust to try and adjust the camera to the setting. That being said, setting it to Auto mode will still result in great photos. It also has the capability to record video. It's a great little camera, and I think the main difference between this model and the newer ones are the number of megapixels. A very good value camera. Good battery life, compact, takes great pictures Not great for dark indoor shots, picture quality is reduced with zooming

Good – A great camera, we are very happy with this camera and would highly recommend it to others. Easy to use, nice and compact yet has a big screen. The only downside is that some indoor shots (even with a flash) don't tend to come out in as good as quality as they should - but saying that, most of them do turn out great also! small/compact, big screen, easy to use - lots of options to change settings to ensure you get a great shot some shots taken inside aren't as good as they should be, direct sunlight is the best for shots
