Pros: Small, light, very easy to use and very good optical performance in tele.
Cons: Spare batteries are overpriced due to build in electronics.
Overall: First had the FS21 but was not happy, the picture quality seemed the same as from a old model with DV-tape.
This was viewed on a HD-TV with 46" picture size.
Changed over to the FS22 which is the mega pixel version of the same camera with astonishing good results.
Also viewed the HD-version but too bulky and pricy.

Pros: Small, light, easy to use.
Cons: Expensive spare battery (due to build in electronic).
Overall: First had a FS21 but was not happy, the picture quality viewed on a 46" HD LED TV left much to be desired and was about equal to a old model which recorded on DV tape.
Changed over to a FS22 which is a mega pixel camera and the difference in the picture quality must be seen.

Pros: The FS21 is a great little Camcorder that can be used by almost anyone including me. Great flash memory plus SD card means that there can be up to 20 hours recording.
Cons: Had some problems downloading to my laptop. Bought a Canon DW-100 DVD recorder for one touch recording
Overall: This is a pocket sized standard digital camcorder that records high quality images and would be ideal for anyone travelling especially when space is limited. It is user friendly and the option of recording to SD card means that cards can be kept until a convenient time to download. I am a beginner and have not yet worked out how to do the editing bit but I will spend some time with it in the next month or so. The pictures are brilliant and you can even take snapshots with it so you don't need two cameras
