It seems focus slow and too many noise in low lighting conditon – I used to the fan of sony , this is 1st time to try canon, I'm a bit disappointed. It's good value for money, but performance is very average Compact, beautiful color, very sharp images whne lighting condition is good, e.g outside or bright inside Under some circumanstances, like low lighting and zooming, it took a while to focus. My 10 years old sony did much better job than this one; Also more noise in low lighting conditon compared with sony. I will probably wont buy canon any more unless other higher end model doesn't have this issue.

Good – I conducted a fair amount research before buying this model, from both independent on-line reviews and speaking to people who currently own a HD camera. Most brands of similar pricing offer a good amount of standard features, however the main difference is in operation (picture quality) under low or restricted light i.e. indoors. This is where the quality of the lenses, sensors and processors come in, to which I've found the Canon has performed well under. I found this camera's price point at the upper end of entry level for a Full HD camera, so there are cheaper HD cameras out there. Be sure before buying any model that your PC can handle the load of HD files running through it. Overall, if your not planning on making any Spielberg movies and simply after a decent HD camera for everyday use then definitely mark this one for consideration. From the outside it's a light and easy to handle model. The ergonomics of all the buttons and zoom dials are well positioned. The screen is of good size and provides a great picture. I found the navigating through the menu features of the camera not to diffcult. The overall quality of the picture provided to date has been been excellent, especially realised when viewed through HD TV. Having an SD card means ability to slot in a higher capacity card as prices continue to fall. Can play back immediately through TV via HMDI (mini) Battery life is probally average so would reccommend considering purchasing a back-up or ensuring it's kept topped-up. The 8GB SD card that came with the camera will probally only get you though Approx 60 minutes worth recording. Would prefer touch screen menu system rather than the scroll/select provided.

Good – The Canon LEGRIA HF200 is such a great camera, and I would absolutely reccommend it to anybody looking for a video camera. It's fantastic and I love it, wouldn't trade it for anything. The Canon LEGRIA HF200 camcorder is an amazing camcorder, being such a light and easy to handle model. The zoom is fantastic, the clarity is crystal clear, and the pristine shine to the covering is just beautiful. The pictures is beautiful, and it can even play back through the television. The battery life isn't the best, but you can purchase a back-up one to ensure maximum battery life.
