Pros: looks good
Cons: alot of problems with the unit, have been fixed before but problems keeps on persisting. Current problem is Remove Cassette Tape.
Overall: I would not recommend this camera to anyone, as the unit always breaks down. Plus the repairs cost too much to get it fixed again.

Pros: Excellent steady picture, really easy to use.
Cons: Lost faith in the brand.
Overall: Firewire stopped working a month out of guarantee with perhaps only three hours of footage shot. Canon replaced the main board at no charge.18 months later with another three hours of use the recording facility broke down with green, brown and yellow verticals on the display. Canon is now replacing the unit with the latest 960.Poor camera, but great service from Canon South Africa.

Overall: I advise everyone to not buy this model.I have one and the CCD is broken after 10 hours of recording...I heard that this is a problem from canon inc. and they will repair for free.

Pros: MV6i is a striking balance between portability and abilility to contain as much accessories in a single videocam. With a shoulder bag on my left side an a sporty carrier on the right, here's my hands touching the small and lightweight MV6i, with smooth controls that are more than just context-sensitive menus. Nothings cluttered.
Cons: Rewinding problems, which needed the expertise on rather non-Canon products to clean it up such as Panasonic tapes or Sony.
Overall: Get a feeling of hard, non-breakable design with Canon's MV6i. Neatly contructed using metallic finishing. It fits precisely in that large pocket of yours.
