Pros: Great pictures and zoom, AA batteries and easy to use.
Cons: Has no optical viewer, only LCD screen. Display sensitive to humidity and shuts off in humid environments, which is usually on holiday when you need it most. Can be fixed using a hairdryer. Canon support is poor as it requires you to mail it to a Sydney service centre at your cost, cannot be returned by dealer. Alternatively there is a walk in repair depot on the eastern outskirts of Melbourne and a place in Adelaide and Perth, and that is all.
Overall: Had this camera for nearly two years and it is a good camera, but the display problems are annoying. Canon repair/warranty support is poor. Thus consider this a throw-away camera that has a 1 yr warranty. Will consider another brand just based on the warranty/repair problem alone.

Pros: Solid camera, good battery life, SD cards cheaper than some others, easy to use functions, good level of zoom at 6x and 3 inch screen good for us people with not so good eye sight to read. Price is very good.
Cons: A little heavy but this is what makes it strong i guess. The dial is easy to bump on the top which can mean you accidentially use the wrong picture setting.
Overall: The camera is reliable, I have taken more than 10,000 photos since I bought it last year and covered many trips, eg to Fraser island , Carnarvon Gorge etc. Colour is always brilliant and the 2 AA rechargables 2100's always give more than 300 photos. I bought this camera after two Sony cameras zoom lenses failed to zoom anymore. Yes two of them and both different models and less than a year old. So it was time to try something else.

Pros: The optical image stabiliser is a great feature to have when camera shakes are real issue -- particularly when zooming in to a far away object. 6.0x zoom on this camera helps in getting that much closer to the object being shot.
Cons: Standard 32MB SD card for a 10 mega pixel camera. No software for computers with Linux Operating System.
Overall: Loads of good features in this camera. Large 3" LCD screen. Has load of shooting modes for any occassion. Great sensitivity to low-light conditions with ISO1600. Comes with software tools for your Windows or Mac PC. AA battery means no lugging around of chargers, cables etc.

Pros: Takes a great photo, durable casing, user friendly
Cons: chunkier than what i wanted but sometimes quality is more important
Overall: i have only had this camera for 3 weeks and i am already very impressed. camera takes a beautiful photo compared to my old camera. it fits very nicely in to your hand and because it's a bit thicker than other cameras, it's easy to hold & especially for my husband who has "man" hands, he can hold it without worrying that he's going to drop it. the photo quality is fantastic and the 10.0mp is super. all controls are very easy to use which is important when you are just a general happy snapper!!!
