Canon PowerShot A460

Good – This camera was an excellent price, and for that you get a camera that does all you need on an everyday basis. Obviously not for someone who is a professional, the Power shot has a range of settings from "kids and pets" to "fireworks". Night setting probably isn't up to that much, just don't expect anything and you might be pleasantly surprised. The camera is operated by 2 'AA' batteries, great for the back pocket, but heavy for the camera, and they are drained quite quickly. Great for someone not fussed with hi-tech nonsense and just want to capture the moment. Takes a while to recover a using the flash
Good – I bought one of these cameras for each of my boys for Christmas (ages 10 and 12) and they just love them. They are tough enough for kids to handle and take great pictures. The picture quality seems to be just as good as my Pentax camera even though it costs a fraction of the amount! The zoom seems to work really well and the menus are easy to navigate. My boys have had no problems working out exactly how to use them! I would recommend this camera to anyone who wants a "point and shoot" type camera that is easy to use and takes good quality pictures. Sturdy, reliable
