Overall: This sleek and sexy compact camera is packed with functions. Slim and small enough to fit in your purse without having to lug a bulky DSLR around yet producing very high quality pictures. Perfect for everyday use, and for the girls night out in town.

Pros: Its size, quality of pictures, excellent lens, and great functionality
Cons: Location of flash, and I wish is higher than 10mp as cheaper cameras are at 12-to 14mp
Overall: My wife needed a small compact digital camera and I had a Nikon D70s and a Canon G5 compact. But being the G5 is still a bit bulky, the S95 is so much smaller. It comes with an excellent F2.0 lens and 4X optical zoom. In terms of flexibility it has most of the professional fnctions including the ability to shoot RAW and HD video and audio. The interface to access all the settings are pretty basic and easy. It also have HDR which any basic DSLR can do but this is more idiot proof in which you dont have to think too much but just need a tripod. Only down side is the location of the flash, but it compensates for its size.

Pros: Excellent image quality, especially for indoor shots. Easy to use. Feels sturdy and of good quality build. Made in Japan.
Cons: You have to hold the camera in a certain way because of where the flash pops up (top left corner).
Overall: Highly recommend this camera. Can't go wrong. Hardly had to change any of default settings. Just point & shoot, the camera will do the rest. Excellent picture quality every time.

Pros: Great image quality from a small sensor camera, high quality build quality.
Excellent low light capability
Flexibility to be a point and shoot camera, but also allows full manual control.
Light weight compared to my full frame DSLR Canon 5D II, or even my Sony NEX 5
Allows capture of RAW (digital negative) which allows greater flexibiity in post proessing.
Cons: Front rotating ring can seem abit gimmicky.
Video is great but these days should offer full 1080p res, and not the 720.
Battery life may be limited as the big screen LCD display will no doubt be draining.
Overall: One of the best point and shoot cameras on the market. If you decide to purchase a digital camera this year, you should seriously consider the Canon S95 as one of your top 3.
I would use this as a point and shoot as well as street photography. Or even a second backup camera.

Cameras I own and use Regularly: Canon 5D II, Pentax K7, Sony NEX 5, Canon G9, and now the Canon S95!
