great for newborns until 9 months – i love this very easy to take baby to car and to his medical appointments very sturdy and safe with plenty of storage space. A bit pricey but its worth the money though. all the parts are washable as well so you can clean it Show details
the best and longest lasting baby item – We bought this in mid 2011. First baby used the capsule for 10 months (did hv to prop her up a bit with a folded hand towel under her bum when tiny - both bubs ave size).. lightest!! around - gd for my bad back. Fits in my hatchback boot. folds fast & easy. 2nd bub slept in this & transferred btwn car & stroller for whole 10months! Now 13 mths &… Read more
3.5yrs, still sleep in stroller when out. Bub in stroller now & toddler sits on food tray! to get around :)
Fantastic Travel System – I bought the Chicco Cortina Travel System when I was pregnant with my daughter because I had previous experience with a different brand travel system I had purchased for my son while living in Germany. I found the capsule to pram transfer invaluable for both my children. I read the reviews prior to purchasing the Chicco Cortina Travel System and… Read more
was a little concerned by a lot of people mentioning that their babies were outgrowing the capsule at 3-6 months of age. In Germany it is advisable to keep the babies in the capsule for as long as possible providing their head does not go over the capsule edge. My son was in his capsule until he was 12 months old in Germany and of course I wanted to make sure my daughter was as safe as possible as well. I actually found that my daughter who is now 15 months old was able to stay in the capsule until 14 months of age. She's not a particularly small baby weighing 3.92kgs at birth and at 14 months she was just over the 10kg mark. I was very happy to keep her in the capsule for as long as possible to ensure maximum protection in the case of an accident. I can highly recommend this Travel System to anyone looking for a way to make getting around with a baby so much easier. Easy capsule transfer from car to pram. My daughter was protected in the capsule until 14 months of age. Lightweight and easy to fold and unfold. Unable to access the basket when capsule is clicked onto pram.
Great travel system – We purchased this as we are both tall people ( 6ft 4 and 5 ft 11) and loved the adjustable handle. The capsule is great, however is annoying that you cannot access the basket with this attached to the pram. Very easy to manoeuvre, and love how easy it is to open and close, however it does take up a lot of room in the boot and is heavy lifting in… Read more
and out of a 4wd. Manoeuvre ability, adjustable handle and cup holder Unable to access basket, heavy, would have liked a reversible handle
Good but bulky – I was luckily able to borrow this from a relatives for the firsts months (found pram shopping really difficult). Capsule was easy to use in and out of the car but found it quite small for my boy at around 3 months. And he is pretty average size baby according to charts. Still using the pram but even that seems quite short for my boy now lying down… Read more
(3,5 months) and I'm looking for a rear facing one just because I go for long walks and would like to see my baby :) It is really easy to move around -> good wheels, but a bit heavy and big when packing in the car. We have a small car thou (Hyundai i30). It would be a good stroller thou when baby can sit up. Good wheels, sturdy and safe, capsule easy to put in and out of the car Capsule gets small soon, pram quite big and heavy when collapsed
Great system – Purchased secondhand from a friend, capsule rated very high on CREP scale. Great for not disturbing bub for the first four months but too cramped in the capsule after that. Still using pram but looking for alternative for semi-off road walking. Easy one handed opening once you have it on the ground, great multi recline positions. Access to basket… Read more
when capsule is inserted was only real bugbear. Great that there's a double pram out now. One handed opening, comes with parent and child cup holder/tray,great basket size No access to basket when capsule inserted, brake release hard on shoes/toes
Great for newborn – We purchased this for our son. we loved it... until he outgrew it at 4 months. the capsule is quite narrow and snug. great for the early months. the pram is much the same. alot of padding and great until about 6months-8months. after that he was too squashed to be in the pram for too long. cannot access the basket when the capsule is inserted (as… Read more
the back needs to be reclined). easy one hand collapse of pram, easy click into car capsule. Heaps of padding in capsule and pram, easy to transport from car to pram, snug for newborn, light and folds up easily, big basket when pram not in reclined position Very narrow capsule and pram, only able to use capsule for 4months, and pram for 8months
Great travel system – I used this travel system for two children and it made life so much easier. clips in easy to pram, pram is one hand open, 3 heights for handle, parent and child trays big help, fits my phone and purse in top tray. My son slept in this capsule nearly all day up till about 6 months old, he loved it. Great product. Simple to use, lots of extras
Good – The travel system is very handy if your baby is comfortable in it, as it takes the hassle out of transferring them from seat to stroller. It is easy to operate, looks attractive and the stroller has great features. I would have been very happy with the stroller and seat but my son has not enjoyed them due to lack of space (he has always been… Read more
completely average in weight and length for his age). Travel system is a great idea as the capsule clicks into the stroller and you do not have to take your baby out and transfer him into the stroller. Stroller and capsule both very stylish in good colours. The storage basket in stroller has plenty of space and there is a handy storage compartment for your bits and pieces. The handlebar is adjustable and was very comfortable for me with my 176cms. The sun shade is large and adjustable. The capsule is on the heavy side but appears sturdy and safe. It clicks in and out of the base easily. My son (now 4 months) has hated sitting in the car seat from the very start, as it is too narrow and uncomfortable for him. Because of this, we were not able to take advantage of the travel system as I had to take him out of the seat as soon as possible. He also overheats in the seat very quickly. The stroller's seat is also narrow and there isn't enough space for his head when the seat is reclined.
More than happy – The travel system has been a blessing and something I would highly recommend to all new parents. The capsule is well padded and must be comfy as our son happily sleeps in it for hours on long car trips or if we are out for dinner. The visor can be adjusted to a lower angle to shade bub when the sun is in different positions. Being able to click… Read more · 1
him in and out of the car and into the pram is a breeze and the pram can be folded very easily with one hand. It is light and handles easily and is not too wide so it's easy to maneuver in narrow spaces ie.between tables and chairs in cafes etc. The only problem is our son is quite long so I expect he'll out grow the capsule before he reaches the weight limit (he is 3 months old) but we will still get good use out of the pram. The base that the capsule clicks into has a handy storage compartment too. So easy to transfer the capsule between car and pram. Pram is really easy to manoeuvre and folds and unfolds in a snap. Difficult to access carry basket underneath when the back support in the pram is reclined (necessary for inserting capsule). Long babies will probably outgrow the capsule before they reach the weight limit for it.
Fantastic – I loved my capsule and pram. I can't live without my pram with the drink holder and mobile holder, it is so convenient. I love the capsule, I can go shopping and not have to wake up my boy when he falls asleep in the car. It is easy to fold and unfold. Large basket underneath. Drink holder and other holder for my mobile. Capsule. The brakes take a bit of jigging to get to lock in. A couple of times I missed the locking.
Excellent – Have had the Chicco Cortina for the last 18 months and love it. It would have to be in the all time top 5 things I would recommend to new parents. The travel system is a must for being out and about with baby and not having to wake them up when transferring from the car to in the house. Also very handy as you can get baby all strapped in the… Read more
capsule while inside the house and comfortable instead of while crammed in the back of the car. We also used the capsule when our daughter had a bad cold (for her to sleep in), it kept her head elevated, we found she slept much better in this when she was stuffy. Travel system is priceless. Good gender neutral color, good sized basked, I liked how you could take off all the liners/cloth components to wash them if needed. I loved the fact that the sun shade wasn't attached to the handle section so you could position the unbrella all the way down to block the sun/wind if needed Didn't come with a bug netting and it was a bit big. But all travel system strollers would be big so can't hold this against the product.
Very happy with the Cortina travel system – We liked the ability of the capsule moving from the base to the pram with out disturbing the baby. During the first few months we were able to take him to dinner and he slept very well in the capsule with the shade visor down. Also could rock him gently in the capsule. Great construction, good handles, easy to fold up pram and click capsule into… Read more
place. We also loved the rearward facing capsule so we could look at our new born easily while out on walks. The shade visors overlaped a bit to keep him out of bright light and wind. He is 6 months and still in the capsule, but not for much longer...
Many other features like incremental recline, baby tray, adjustable handle and easy to assemble. Easy to use, cup holder and compartment with lid near the handle. Capsule mounts onto base in car and sits in pram, easy to move between the two. Base stays in car. Quite light weight in comparison to other systems. When the pram seat is reclined (for capsule or sleeping baby) the under basket is difficult to use. difficult to adjust straps.

Great functional product – Good option for someone looking for a lightweight option. Easy to use and transfer between car and stroller smooth. Spacious storage compartment with handy extras such as cup holders and sunglasses or key compartments on top near handle bars. compact and user friendly storage tray hard to access with capsule in stroller Show reply
Excellent – A great product that has been well thought out in many of the little things, that we did not know to look for when having our first baby. A good stroller for most occasions but not for off road, really a pavement/shopping center stroller. I would buy this product again and recommend it. A good stroller that has been well thought out. reclines at several levels from lying flat to almost 90 degrees. The sun shade moves so you can move it to protect baby from the sun, wind and rain from the top right down to the food tray. System to fit capsule easy to use. Is fairly compact when folded (compared to similar strollers that did not fit in our boot). Small things. Storage basket hard to get into when the stroller seat is flat (which is needed when the capsule is in it). You can not see your child if the sun shade is up and no see through flap. Drink bottle holder only holds smaller sized bottles.
Great sturdy travel system – I have found this travel system to be great so far. My baby is 4 months old and I have been impressed with the functionality and sturdiness. I love that you can click the car seat straight into the stroller without having to disturb baby. If baby is in the car seat part whilst in the stroller they will be facing you which I found nice. I liked to… Read more · 1
look down on her and see what she was up to.
I don't like the limited basket space underneath when the car seat is clicked in and this stroller is very heavy. Sturdy, Baby can be facing you or facing out, no need to disturb baby from car to stroller Is very heavy and bulky. I don't fit through many stores with this stroller
Good – Good choice if you have a baby that puts on weight slowly. Plus, I realized there's no need to ever own a capsule, you can very well buy a car seat from the start. Stroller light and easy to handle. Stroller too narrow. My baby didn't fit in it anymore when he was 3 months old (about 6 kg). He didn't fit in the capsule either. I had to sell it and buy a larger, more comfy stroller nad a car seat. Not so easy to handle capsule in and out of car.
