I have been enrolling my daughter in Code Camp holiday camps every school holiday since last year, and she absolutely loves it. The last few times, she chose to enrol in Minecraft Mini, and this time she has chosen Minecraft Engineering. She is so excited to attend during the upcoming winter holidays. It's a place where learning is combined with so much fun.

My daughter attended Spark over the past few days and absolutely loved every minute of it! The staff were so welcoming and supportive, shoutout to Jo the manager.. She came home each day excited to tell us all about what she had learned and seeing her final game was impressive. It’s been amazing to see her confidence grow as she explored coding. I can’t recommend Code Camp enough She’ll definitely be back for the next school holidays!

My daughter has attended two camps so far and really enjoyed her experience both times! She created her first claymation video at Animation Camp, and also learnt how to program a robot dog at Robotics Camp. It's great to see her learning skills she wouldn't usually learn at school, she was really proud of her creations and I was impressed with her… Read more ·  1

My daughter had the best three days!!! – My daughter had the best three days at Code Camp - Get Crafty! She not only made some fantastic friends and picked up new drawing skills, but she also put together a super cool graphic novel that she was really proud of. With such supportive and friendly staff, she was busy the whole time doing fun activities. I got daily photo updates, and they… Read more ·  1

even had a dress-up day!

We definitely recommend Code Camp for keeping kids engaged during the holidays and helping them make great friends.

Whilst most of the learning was great for my two children that attended, there were 2 specific examples of things that were handled poorly, especially given the price of the camps. Firstly my son was asked for his feedback on first day. He gave… Read more

good feedback but not great as he thought there were a few things that could be done better. The supervisor coerced him to change his review to great and said would get in trouble otherwise with her manager. The second thing was that my daughter was physically attacked by another child attending at lunchtime and nothing was mentioned to me at pick up. My daughter had told the supervisor at lunch and they had talked to the kid but that was it. I presume the other child’s parent was not informed about his behavior either. When I brought up the next day with the supervisor on for the day she took notes and advised that something similar had happened again (at least I was told this time and the child kept away from my daughter). Whilst naughty kids can be anywhere the fact that this happened twice to my daughter was concerning, especially when not disclosed the first time. I would question the training some of these supervisors may have had (or not), and whilst they may have the technical skills, perhaps not so much of the working with kids type of experience or knowledge. My kids are booked in next week too and I am hoping will be a much better experience. Every child has the right to feel safe and have a good time at holiday care.

Follow-up  · They only went for a week. I don’t know that feedback was addressed at all and no safety measures were put in place.

Overall I feel really disappointed. 2 whole days and almost $300 and my child has had very little enrichment from the course provided. There was very little supervision, I stayed next to the school almost the entire time as I worked from the car and saw children running around the school out of view of the teachers whilst trucks and workmen were… Read more

in and out of the large front gates and on one occasion two of the teachers were hovering over a phone for a good 10 mins or so. My daughter said that the classroom situation was quite similar with very little guidance, education or supervision.

I was expecting to have photo updates as per the advertisement but received one group photo that wasn’t really very nice. The “medal” provided was a tiny, rubber badge that was very generic so not even commemorative of the course. No certificate - even a digital one! A bit of guidance would have meant that she at least had a somewhat polished project.

The teacher was very nice - Esther, but she wasn’t teaching the course.

Overall, it was a huge waste of time and money.

3 day animation / stop motion camp - Somerville House Campus My 8yo recently completed the 3 day animation / stop motion camp at Somerville House campus. I am thoroughly impressed with the end to end experience - at registration we had staff reaching out to us detailing the procedures, how to find the class where the code camp is located, then… Read more ·  1

at the camp the site manager was excellent, she was there everyday welcoming the children and carefully listen to each child with progress update (I was impressed, as there are at lease 30 kids that I saw at the location, multiple classes running), the in class teachers were awesome in guiding the kids on how to create stop motion animation - we had several animation stoop motion videos by the end of the 3 days, my 8yo loved the camp so much she asked why the animation camp be 4 days instead of only 3 days! (this is impressive coming from a child who has historically not been a fan of holiday camps!)

Thanks you to the team, and the back office support team for making our experience with Code Camps such a positive one! We look forward to more excellent experiences in the future

My son attended the Robotics 3-day coding camp. His original two day camp was cancelled due to not enough students signing up so they moved him into another class without asking. We were upset because the class was two years under his age so I wrote to them and within two days he was signed into another class close by that was a day longer and… Read more

they didn't charge due to the circumstances. From the first point of sign in to my son meeting his AMAZING teacher for the course, I was very happy with everything. Teachers were all friendly and very helpful and accommodating. My son raved on about his teacher (Ryan) after class, he was very engaging, funny, hands on and an excellent teacher allowing children to work out problems before telling them directly. My son was a little annoyed at some children being there that didn't want to be there (the children would be very rude to the teacher, interrupt constantly, and one child even slapped another child!) and I felt bad for the teachers who shouldn't be put in situations like that. Despite that, my son would love to go back again (before he's too old) and learn something new. Hope he gets Ryan again!

Our 7yo twin boys LOVED this! It was a surprise win, this was by far the best holiday camp any of our kids have attended. Each day they came home asking if they could go again next year!!

It's an early stage. As a parent I'm glad my son is learning technology with a purpose in a professional environment. I do not think "auto enrollment" is being used appropriately in any commercial related activity, especially in a child's education. Customers could be charged without knowing. What if a child moves school? The auto-enrollment is unnecessary.

Costs a lot, they ran two sessions and my daughters school and then decided they didn't have the staff and cancelled the program via email the evening of the 3rd session, leaving the children very disappointed. Don't let your kids apply here. My child was promised a job at code camp with three full days of work in the school holidays and they cancelled the afternoon before he wages due to start. Enrolled my daughter for the 2 day Animation Mini Camp. She spent most of the time on her iPad browsing the internet for game websites (which she had no idea how to access before), watching tv shows, playing games. Over 4.5 hours of screen time on day two, none of it relevant to the course or learning. The final product was a 3 second "movie". Would not recommend.

I found Code Camp as a last minute change from what my daughter was originally doing. I knew she would enjoy Minecraft Minis. She spent a great two days being able to do what she loves. Great value and made new friends.

My kid LOVED it, he asked on pickup from the first day if he can do another one. They had great communication through the program, daily emails with what they covered and some tips on how to discuss it with the kids. Really well put together.

Code Camp was the perfect holiday care for my 6 year old son! He is technology and Minecraft mad and he loved every minute. Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed Code Camp these school holidays. The class created their own games over the 3 days, which they’re able to share with family and friends. The course was school hours which was convenient for us. Highly recommend.

My kid has done half a dozen of these Code Camps now. They are a solid product. These guys organise them well, and she has always enjoyed them. She has done Spark, DJ Camp, a cartooning one, a couple of Minecraft courses and a coding camp. I recommend them.

Great location. Great staff (helpful, friendly, happy). Great organization. Appreciate the regular email updates. The children were so keen to show off their finished projects achieved at Camp. Children also appreciated the activities organized over lunch time and recess (e.g. dodgeball and movies to watch).

My 8 year old daughter attended Minecraft code camp for the first time this past school holiday and she absolutely loved it! She made friends and learnt so much whilst indulging in her favourite game. The only thing she says she'd change is making it longer, making it 2 weeks instead of 3 days.

My son had a fantastic learning experience, and the friendly staff really connected with him and helped him. He also got to design a beautiful game. During a break, the staff organised a mini soccer game for my son, who’s a huge soccer fan, and the World Cup is on.

After school program consisted of playing iPad games for an hour under the supervision of some uninterested teenagers. To make matters worse, code camp charges your credit card without your permission, for classes you haven’t signed up for. Not happy with any aspect of this.
