formula? Looks like all Colgate toothpastes switched to this new ingredient. It is such a shame, as we used to be the customers of Colgate for 20 years and now need to search for a replacement.

the burning started again and I rinsed it out as quickly as I could but the inside of my mouth feels sore and swollen again!!! Just SO SO disappointing as I’ve used this toothpaste for many years with no issue and it’s my favourite by a long shot.

ColgateTotal 12 Gumcare "New formula". Nowhere on the packaging can I see that this has a mint flavour but that's what it is. It's bloody awful compared to the old formula. It burns my mouth, that's how strong it is. I want a largely neutral flavour. Sometimes it's just better to leave a product how it is without needlessly meddling with it. continued until I reverted back to the toothpaste I had at home. When it was finished I continued to use the toothpaste I bought interstate and the reflux started again. It only stopped when I used some old tubes which we had at home.

Because of the new packaging I concluded that I must have bought the wrong one (and this one didn't agree with me), however recent purchases of my normal toothpaste have indicated that it wasn't the wrong one they have changed something in the formula which is causing significant reflux.

Colgate - I am switching brands. And please don't respond to me saying that you haven't changed anything. From the long list of reviews on here and my own experience it is quite obvious that you have and to suggest otherwise is just an insult to us all.

Awful toothpaste – Had used this for years, need to bring back old paste, now too runny just dissolves to liquid in mouth, has caused allergic reactions for me causing sore mouth, gums and tip of tongue and dry mouth. Will not be using in future.

Colgate Optic white complain – So I bought the most expensive one, The Colgate Optic White and after 3 months of usage my teeth started developing a black lining from the gums and black spots on the teeth…I’m very disappointed.

Why change a winner – I have been using Colgate advanced whitening toothpaste for years. The box says “new and improved “ I beg to differ. It’s a totally different toothpaste. Actually, I’m not sure you can call it a paste, it’s too runny. My mouth doesn’t feel as clean or fresh after using it and it tastes weird. It’s new but not improved. Absolutely ruined perfect toothpaste – The new Colgate total formula August 2022 that has come out , is so bad. My mouth health and gotten worse and it gives me acidity. buy again, how did they get something so wonderful so wrong, trying to force people to buy 4 times as much like when all the washing liquids were supposedly double strength for double price???? Only gave 1 star as it would not allow zero. Shame on Colgate!!!

the time, as well as not cleaning my teeth properly either. As a result of this, I had difficulty sleeping whilst using it. The sensitivity in my teeth got worse whilst using this product. I bought 4 tubes of this product, but due to the side effects, had to throw them all away. I am hoping to recover from the use of this product, but it will take some time. Please do not buy this product, definitely not recommended.

Such a bad taste – Used Colgate Total "whole mouth health" Advanced clean. The taste is so bad and stays in your mouth. I even brushed afterwards WHT another toothpast and the taste is still there to the point I'm feeling ill from it. Not good, they should go back to the old formula – Sucks that it's not even an option anymore. I don't feel like my teeth are as clean afterwards (I go through the brush cycle 2x, one right after the other). I also miss the refreshing mint. The new formula is a gross flavor too. Show details

Overseas Made - Avoid! (Buy Cedel or Grants instead) – Just so disappointed a large, greedy multinational cannot make one tube of toothpaste in Australia! Toothpaste is fine but I prefer Cedel or Grants any day of the week - supporting Australian made and Australian owned!

Dry mouth, trouble breathing – Ive used this product for over 15 years but have recently had terrible side effects due to the new formula change. Immediately after brushing my mouth drys out completely and my throat begins to tighten so that it’s very difficult to swallow and breath. I had to go to Emergency last night.
