Remarkable tyres – Put Zeon’s on my Porsche Cayenne and have now done over 70k klms. Driving conditions 40% bitumen 40% dirt and 20% paddock/off-road. I tow a boat, livestock trailer and race car trailer. Handling is excellent in all conditions and speed rating not matched by any other tyre when purchased. Ride on bitumen is harsh, however, on dirt is ideal. Definitely will replace with another set. Show details

Zeon LTZ – I have had two sets of Cooper Zeon LTZ's now, look good, handled a lot better than the standard tyres in wet and dry, great on the beach, however always seemed like a slightly harsher ride than the standard tyres and neither set last more than 50 thousand kilometers. Just had a tyre blowout on the current set.  Show details

Let down – Had AT3 on vehicles and when Zeons came out tried them. Dry surface good but wet roads dangerous. Living in the tropics you need grip in the wet,the Zeon don't have it. Not good mileage about 50,000k and got rid of them. Put on Pirelli scorpions and have more mileage and better ride. AT3 a better tyre.  Show details

MPV – OUTSTANDING !!!! 90,000k's + on my series 2 ranger ...... just got some new ones ..... $70 more per tyre that say Nitto Grappler but i'm sure the Nitto's would struggle to do 60k .... COOPERS forever .... tough , durable and long lasting . Will now get some CS5's for our XC60 Volvo  Show details

Solid performance – Looking to replace soon with the same, 255 55 r19. Have done 55,000 without a fault. Plenty of dirt and rock driving in the bush and rock quarries. Would have lasted a bit longer if I had kept to my rotation plan. Have ended up with two worn significantly more than the others.  Show details

70,000 km and still going strong – Fitted Zeons to the D4 70,000km ago, numerous trips down south in WA and into the Pilbara. Apart from one tyre destroyed in Karajini NP due to very sharp stones, I cannot fault these tyres for grip, wear life and excellent low road noise. Maintaining correct tyre pressure is key to fuel economy and wear, especially when towing our 16ft camper.  Show details

Very satisfied overall – Have now been 35,000 kms on the tyres, including the Birdsville Track and rough dirt roads in the Gulf country in the Borroloola, Lorella Springs and Roper River regions. Last month drove from Adelaide to Perth, returning along the south coast and some rough, rocky tracks and roads east of Esperance, in particular the track from the Eyre Highway… Read more

into the Bilbunya Dunes. This narrow, rough track contained deep ruts, tree roots, and limestone rocks and of course sand. Having previously suffered sidewall cuts to two Zeon tyres on an earlier trip, the fact that no tyre on this WA trip suffered any damage was nothing short of amazing. We were also towing a camper trailer fitted with Cooper S/T MAXX tyres which also completed the journey with no cuts or abrasions. Any doubts I had about these 255/55X19 tyres have gone and will be getting another set in the near future.

Best tyre AT tyre – Bought a set of coopers for my Amarok June 2016 Just racked up 70000 since then, tyre ware is even, Great on & off road, the best all terrain tyre I've ever had & still going strong, another 20k & I'll be putting on another set, they leave the others well behind, they don't go off half way through life span. Highly recommended August… Read more

5th 2017 Update: Best A/T tyre

Bought a set of Coopers 255/50R19 Zeon LTZ to fit my Amarok

Just changed them for another set, 90,000km

In 12 months & not down to the ware blocks, probably

Another 10,000 in them but I don't run my tyres low

Best tyre, road holding, quiet, great mileage

Really great to buy a tyre that stacks up, there not

Cheap but I can't fault them, best tyre I've ever had

& I got through heaps with the mileage I do.

If your looking for a awesome A/T tyre for your ride

Give them a try

Very disappointed in the performance of the Cooper 2555OR 19 4WD Tryes – I had the 2555OR 19 103V & 107V Zeon tyres fitted 6 months ago to my BMW X5 before embarking on an around Aust trip , which was 27,000km . The back rear blew 2,000 km from home It had delaminated with the wires protruding out of the side of the tyre On Friday during a service I got a call to come and check out the other back tyre It had… Read more

delaminated also I took both tyres to JAX Mona Vale where i purchased them only to be told i should be happy with the result as i was towing a 1.8 tonne camper trailer Being a novice camper I checked with 4 veterans who each got 50 to 60,000km form their normal road tyres towing 3.2 tonne caravans Has anyone had the same experience ??? Cheers Grant

Two punctures in less than 15k – Similar to previous posts, I have done less than 15k and have had two punctures, the first puncture was whilst driving on a gravel road, a piece of shale had punctured through the thick part of the tread, the second one at freeway speeds which consequently made the tyre in useable. Not happy at all with these tyres.  Show details

Woeful tyres – After two (2) catastrophic failures after less than 20K,I got rid of all five and replaced them with a set of Bridgestone A/T 697 which are quieter and noticeably better riding than the Coopers and were fine on my last trip to the high country.I wouldn't waste my money on Coopers again.  Show details

It's been a year, still good – Purchased in June 2014, a year later, still going strong. Rotated about every 5-8 thousand km, tread is still good and performing well in the dry and the winter wet! They have been wearing evenly across the tread and I generally check tire pressures about once a month, give or take. Happy days!

Cooper LTZ ZEON 285 60 R18 – Tyres started out fantastic then at 51k without warning catastrophic side wall failure on 1tyre. In hands of coopers at present. Tyre reviews on net indicate this is n issue. I maintain good pressures and use regular 10k rotation. Side walls crack leaking air then heat from sidewall causes the tyre to explode. Having owned 4WDs for 15years… Read more

and always used cooper tyres I was shocked. I understand care for tyres so trust me when I say you should seriously consider another tyre type, this particular model of cooper tyre is dangerous. Quite and looked great. Wide and great on sand and gravel. Usless in mud. No self cleaning at ll. Blowout from 50K, take care catastrophic failures with no warning.

Excellent – Look, feel and sound great.Am looking forward to a trip to Gold Coast next week and will see how they perform in the rain on the black top before trying them offroad. Cooper ATRs & Zeon LTZ – G’day In October 2009 we bought our first set of Cooper ATRs, 3,500Ks later side walls were cracking near the bead area, Cooper after much pushing replaced them, 1,500Ks latter same problem, again after much pushing and discussion they replaced them March 2009 with Zeon LTZs manufacture date 2008, after 4,500Ks these also cracked the… Read more

side wall but further out

closer to the tread, again after a month off pushing and discussion these were

replaced June 2010 with another set of LT Zeon LTZs these lasted 15,000Kms January

2011and started the same problem of Cracking near the bead area, again Cooper

were contacted with a reply that it was cosmetic only and NO replacement or

concern warranted, so ok we have had them inspected by NSW RTA Blue slip

station ,which he showed concern, and have photographed them at that time and

are continuing to photograph there deteriation, and if and when they fail a law

suit will be lodged against Cooper Tyres (National Tyre Wholesalers Aust)

The sidewall cracking is get worse and will

continue to get worse.

I am not a winging Traveller with no idea,

firstly I am a Mechanic since the early 70s and have owned a Tyre and

Mechanical Business, and an Aircraft Engineer since the Mid 80s, so I do have

some Idea of what a person should expect from $1500s worth of tyres.

Buy Cooper tyres? NEVER again.

Great tyre – So far so good I put a set of 285x60x18's on my prado Kakadu.Very good off road in sand have tried in small patches of mud and also very good. Look good, work well off road. slightly noisy...you have to expect that from a chunck tyre and the car is extreemly quite so you do here a little hum..
