2008 COROMAL LIFESTYLE 615 - 15th BIRTHDAY – "Coral", our 3rd-hand 15yo ("born" 04/08 in WA) Coromal 615 has just returned Home from a 1900klm round trip to Normanton to see the sunset over the Gulf of Carpentaria at Karumba Point and be "pacemaker" for the Gulflander (no challenge) from Normanton to Croydon. Wearing her new Kumho "shoes", freshly serviced and sporting her new "gas-only"… Read more

water heater as a result of me not attending to her electric-anode replacement that rusted out her hotwater tank, "Coral" turned in another amazing and comfortable effort among the more flashy "Coromal, New Age, Jayco and Kedron youngsters" that she was hanging out with, without using all of her accessories.

Grandma & I still haven't seen any other holiday partners to replace "Coral" on our future camping trips. They don't make 'em like they used to.

No complaints – I bought my Lifestyle 615 second hand in 2016. Since then I have done 16 trips over 33,000klm/s and can say that I am not at all disappointed with how the van has held up or how it tows. I do keep it maintained and I do expect everything to need a service and a tweak every now and then but overall no major issue, it tows well, I have a great sleep… Read more

in it, and most importantly a great time. Friends keep on asking if I'm going to upgrade one day and my answer is always the same. It has a bed, a shower, a toilet, a fridge, aircon, tows well, no leaks, why get rid of it?

Good layout poor quality – Purchased new Dec 2010, very excited, liked the layout and independent suspension. The day I picked it up the brake wiring was hanging close to the ground. Coromal s response "tuck it away! that is about the level of support I have ever received from them, without threatening accc action. The fridge kept blowing out while under warranty, their… Read more

response "that's normal"they eventually fixed it. The problem was incorrect installation.

The Truma hot water leaked just after warrranty elapsed, their response "its is now out of warranty"I contacted truma in germany and they eventually replaced it. Now on my 3rd truma ( don't ever buy a van with one of these!)

The van is basically good and one of the best for towing, the support from Coromal was like they didn't care once it left their yard.

There was only one person at coromal who actually cared , he was in accessories. The rest including the sales manager were terrible, like shonky used car salesmen from the bad old days.

I would never buy another coromal due to the lack of support I received, as said previously the van is basically good.

This Caravaning life! – Recently commenced a journey from Perth via Coast to Darwin down the Stuart Highway to Port Augusta up into the Flinders thence over the Barrier Highway via Broken Hill to Noosa. I am a female 79 in my 2006 19.6 Coromal Lifestyle 605s. Love that Van - Okay second hand from a dealer and 11 years old - bound to have issues! That led to… Read more

encounters and great fun as my fellow nomads puzzled through the electric short circuiting gave me demos on how to set up and dismantle my awning, diagnostics with constantly splitting hoses. One lovely neighbour at Eighty Mile Beach noting I had scraped off the entire trim at a cattle stop riveted it back on! I was so grateful - it was one less thing I needed to confess to the children! Finally in Alice Springs replaced the entire plumbing hoses hot water element water pump a major hot water release valve and had a bearing regrease. Now thousands Ks of trouble free everything working caravaning - loved all the fun of it and at the end of the day my friendly Coromal welcoming me in to its comfy interior. Now to tackle the Nullabor home! There will be great towing at 83 - 85 as this wonderful country opens up to me. Thank you Coromal! Judy

The van tracks true behind the car we have had an engineer upgrade the ATM to the axle load of which we only run to 80% capacity.

Second Coramal – You found a couple who purchased their second coramal. First was a 2009 corvair 545 I think it was called, loved it with no problems, traded it on a Windsor 2013 because we wanted a full van with shower ect, total disaster, leaks frame rotted in 2 yrs so we got rid of it. Still waiting – Also purchased a new 2014 Coromal Lifestyle L635 XC (now hardly used). Initially, we started with a short trip & quickly had things falling off, exterior doors flying open, basin & sink leaking, fly door hinge snapped. Issues not resolved or temporarily resolved then the local dealership closed. Last year we tried a trip out of the state (while… Read more

trying to fix leaks, refasten wall fixtures, watching for flying-open doors) then one of the large windows came almost right out - a real hazard to anyone else on the road (lucky we were alerted by passing traffic). We taped it up & limped home. Have been stalled/still waiting on any (promised) follow-up from the dealer where we originally made the purchase. We also purchased off-road capability but this van is not even suited to sound or safe use on sealed roads with things flying apart. We paid over $70 000 for what is proving to be a lemon with ongoing liabilities.

Coromal - Lifestyle L635 - Rubbish – Purchased Lifestyle L635 and have had nothing but problems since collection. 2010 667XC – We have done around 30,000 km touring and have no complaint with the van. The van tows well and the independent suspensions seems to work well on bad road, however I wouldn't recommend it for badly corrugated roads. The van fittings seem a little basic compared to some other vans however the unit has been ultra reliable. radio and the front boot lid cracking. We had the same radio failure on our previous Coromal so a better quality unit is required and may have done so since we purchased. We didn't have any significant issues with our first Coromal however it was only 2 years old when we upgraded. We have generally heard mainly good experiences with Coromal vans especially the earlier ones however have heard of a few warranty debacles. Overall the reliability of our 2010 van has been good.

From Sydney to Broome, Coromal – Been towing our 2010 lifestyle 635xc for another 12,000ks this trip. Started on the Central coast Nsw , Mildura, Clare valley for gourmet weekend, Wilpeena pound. Then the highlight did the Oodnadatta track, loved the Steak at William creek pub. Then to Kings canyon, daily waters Barra and beaf delicious. Kakadu, bungle bungles and now in Broome. A dream to tow, very little dust and the independent suspension magnificent. Thanks Coromal

Lifestyle 540s 2009 – We bought ours at the Adelaide Caravan show in 2009. Told that we could tow this with our Ford Territory. Wrong. Coramal le Princeton 759 Lemon – We purchased the 759 princeton 3 years ago brand new around the $95;000:00 with everthing, full anex awning , generator boxand so on. on delivery we were given 20 + keys one set for every lock on the van tfor that price youwould think all lockswould be keyed the same, the dometic roof mount aircon died 11 months later and replaced under warranty… Read more

2 years on the replacement is on its way out , the van is now 3 years old and the dometic 3 way 168 litre fridge is stuffed $3,300:00 to replace that. I removed the old fridge so i could replace it with a normal house hold fridge at $499.00 and better quality but what i found behind the dometic fridge was old bits of wood screwed to the walls a whole section missing from the side wall just outside tin showing and this van is supposed to be fully insulated what a disgrace,

the rooftop vent that you are supposed to open when traveling on dirt roads leaks water over the bed one of the bedroomwindows leaks warter into the sde cupboard and we had to screw most of the windows shut so they wont open while travelling so there are definitely quality controll issues with coramol caravans in forrestfield WA. No quality control on Coromal Caravans – There is a definite lack of quality control on Coromal caravans. I purchased a new Coromal Lifestyle 667 Caravan in April 2012 and it is nicknamed The Lemon. Upon first use, lights were full of water, the range hood did not work, the dust deflector leaked, everything under the bed was damaged by water ingress, the front watertank was leaking, the… Read more

towel rail and toilet roll holder fell off, various squeaks and rattles in the floor, the battery went dead flat, the thread in the pin in the jockey wheel was stripped, the fridge was not earthed properly and the water pump would not switch off. Additionally, dont expect to get Coromal factory painted replacement panels for the exterior as they are not available for a two month old van that unfortunately received minor damage on the first day out - the panels had to be painted.

While Coromal have rectified these warranty items after two attempts, I find their quality control close to the lower priced vans available. Dealing with the National warranty Manager is an experience and who only offered excuses and didnt even say sorry. If you are considering buying Coromal forget it - Coromal has lost my future business. The layout Bad quality and warranty

van with a bottle or two of champagne. Happy to say that the van towed extremely well and everything worked except for the rear ceiling touch light and the Kenwood radio. The light worked OK but had a nasty habit of turning itself on and off throughout the night waking me every time it did so. I couldnt get the radio to work at all and on return swapped the entire unit for a new one. The light was also replaced. I suspect that these touch lights will become a problem as they wear and I wish Coromal had opted for ones with an on and off switch. The blue night lighting however is a blast! We had some heavy rain on the first day of our trip and I am pleased to report that there wasnt a leak to be found. The shower and toilet worked well but I would like a bigger hot water system in the van because you have to be very quick in the shower else the water runs cold quickly! Ease of towing; layout; comfort and finish. The QS bed in particular is more comfortable than our one at home! Cupboard space is also very good. Nothing major. Now that the radio and faulty ceiling light have been replaced, we have no other issues with the van. Chapmans are great to deal with and replaced the faulty items quickly.

7,500 km trip the next day which was only made possible by the effort put in by the agent in getting it ready for us in record time.

On picking up our new van we felt a sense of disappointment due to the factory fit out being substantially different to that which we ordered. The differences included; incorrect upholstery material used, the wrong model fridge installed and a completely different, and to our mind an inferior shower than that in the display van to which we speced our van on. And the reason given was there was a problem with the display model shower, and yet nobody thougt to discuss options with us the customer.

However, Coromal promptly made good on the upholstery and fridge without question, however we were told nothing could be done with the shower as it was an integral part of the van.

All in all the finish of our new van is not up to the same standard our previous Coromal lifestyle van was. The van towed like a dream and the layout and functionality work great Twelve months and about 10,000km and a few problems have arisen such as cabinetry and furnishings coming loose, pot draw baskets dropping out of the track and the boot lid cracking where it attaches to the hinge.
