Avoid like the plague, along with Azzurri products – Both the Azzurri Bike and Cycling Express website (Cycling Express are an agent Azzurri bikes) claim that ALL Azzurri bicycle frames are covered by a lifetime warranty. Haven't missed a beat – I buy from quite a few online retailers; wiggle, cyclingdeal, torpedo7, pushys and have placed a lot of orders with cyclingexpress. Every order has been quick and well packed. I often compare their prices with that of wiggle and others and 9/10 they are better (for what they stock, which is far more limited than wiggle, etc). Will keep using them.

Wrong item sent and then no refund provided as promised and now radio silence – Bought some Shimano pedals and brakes were sent. I was instructed to send back and agreed to a full refund plus postage cost which has still not been provided. It has been weeks of no response even though the brakes were received by cycling express.

Disgusting Aftersales "Service" – Purchased an Azzuri Pro XL which apparently comes with a lifetime warranty. able to find the receipt 6-9 months ago. This is not an acceptable time frame for a resolution.

And they are asking they i pay $200+ for the replacement frame to be shipped.

Disgusting, won't be purchasing through them in future.

Worthless Warranty – The carbon frame on my Azzurri Forza supposedly had a lifetime warranty from Cycling Express. However when the frame cracked due to a manufacturing fault, Cycling Express refused to honour their warranty and, because they are now off-shore, they just wave two fingers at Australian Consumer Laws. Cheap bikes, maybe, but lifetime warranty is a joke. Get what you pay for!

could collect. I was advised that I couldn't and because the bike was on bike exchange I indicated that they shouldn't advertise at $1700 if it can't be posted at that amount. I also indicated that I thought $200 was excessive (based on past experience with UK sites).

[name removed] from Cycling express indicated that 200 was reasonable and my parents must be disappointed with my reading and maths ability.

This is not an Australian site it operates out of Taiwan and is a disgrace. I'm glad I'll have the pleasure of taking my business elsewhere.

frame (Azzurri is a Cycling Express’s own brand). It was splotchy all over, and looked like it was sun-faded as well. See pics below. I queried this at length and was told they would refund my money (minus freight costs of $349), and I would have to pay return freight from Cairns to the Melbourne warehouse (Est. $150), making a total of about $500! None of these imperfections were visible in the pics they used to advertise the bike, or were mentioned in the product description. I don't believe anyone would have bought this frame if they could have seen it beforehand. I am assured by Customer support that the frame is structurally sound and has a lifetime warranty which they will standby. So I have reluctantly accepted the bike, despite comments from friends of "what a great new bike! but oh, what’s the go with the frame? "All the components on the bike are known brand names, and I got what I expected for a very good price.  

However, the finish of the Cycling Express Azzurri brand bicycle frame was very disappointing. IMO, buying Cycling Express’s own unknown Azzurri brand sight-unseen can not be trusted or recommended. Also the fact that they removed my review from their site also puts into question the authenticity of other reviews posted on their on-line site.

Melbourne number and it had not been given the go ahead by Cycling Express to be repaired! I got in touch via email to cycling express and it then got repaired. I then had to pay to get it back!!!

So I paid the $99.00 direct to Cycling Express to have my frame returned. A week later, still no bike, so I rang the Melbourne number and it is still in the shop as Cycling Express have not organised anyone to collect it yet.

I have sent an email and have actually rung a mobile number in Taiwan and basically demanded they get on to sorting this out and get my bike back to me.

I would never recommend Cycling Express to anyone after this experience and definitely will not buy anything from them again. Ken

Boardman TT Frame Issues. Cracking On Rear Stays – Cycling Express is a major disappointment. claim stating that manufacturing defects normally occur in the 1st 12 months. The frame is covered for a full 36 months. Have also taking up issue direct with Boardman but very disappointed in the overall experience. Will be seeking legal action if matter not resolved but be very careful about dealing with these people.

transfer to Singapore so they can be sent to Tim for Warranty inspection. As of the 2nd Aug they are still in Tullamarine. I have made several attempts to get this resolved quickly but have failed on all accounts. The only way to contact these guys is via email.

local bike shop who quickly sorted out my problems.

- after 3-4 weeks (and less than 200km) the rear freehub stopped working on the mavic aksiums.

So, i sent them another email (you cant call the online store) and waited. they eventually told me to take it into a local bike shop so i did... and waited... i then emailed them again.. and waited...

It's now 4 weeks since the rear wheel (obviously under warranty) broke and they've offered me a downgraded replacement rear wheel because they couldnt find another suitable wheel. Seriously?! a bike shop without wheels??? i said no (obviously).

We're now in March, i've only had 1 month of riding, summer is over and i dont have a bike... hopefully i get it back before any warrantys run out! :(

requested for a price match of US$582 equivalent in AUD delivered to my australian address.

However, when push come to shove, CE's price match was "they will match nashbar's price of wheelset delivered to Australia'! so they add another US$200 (delivery costs) and they were only willing to match the price inclusive of delivery from US to Australia. And we ding dong back and forth for over 2.5 weeks before landing on a nogo. Go figure ....

Still gave 2 stars because they were friendly BUT policy was misleading and they stop replying after I questioned their policy.

Pathetic! Do not waste your time! – Brought a bike bag online from this store. A black and white advertised zipp bag however got delivered a red and black bag! recommended for someone who is 182cm. Sent the bike back as it was not suitable. Today just received replacement. Another display bike rather than new bike I wanted and insisted on. Had another price tag on it and the handle bar wrap was damaged. It was also packed poorly and the front wheel axle was sticking out of the box when it arrived. After all the issues I had with the first delivery, you think they'd be a bit more careful to get this one right, but not so. No owners manual, no customer care, nothing. Price of the bike was great Poor service, poor advice, poor customer care, poor response especially from the manager

Poor online customer service – Emailed them twice asking about their return policy on the Azzurri bikes, never got anything back, seems a bit dodgy for me. I subscribed to their emailing list and got their weekly discount items, but what's the point of good price without customer service? Overseas online stores got much better service than this. Fast response to query and a great price!!! – I asked cycling express whether they could match a price on wiggle (for Dura Ace wheels). I received an email back by the next day from them (even though it was a Sunday) advising me that not only would they match wiggle but would beat their price by 10% - Fantastic!! Cant wait for the wheels to arrive. Thanks cycling express - have told all my mates about you guys. Fast response and great price

I don't know what caused the problem but Ken sorted it rapidly and efficiently. I was kept in good communication by email and the bike was delivered quickly, too.

Overall, no complaints, good service, a website glitch or I would have given 5 stars. Good price, service and delivery time Hassle with re-sending information and chasing up lost order

credentials. I read some reviews on this site, there was the usual mix of complaints and some comments saying you never hear from happy people so I thought I would write up my experience.

So far I am impressed, they beat the other price by 10%.

They answered my phone calls when I wanted confirmation of stock 03 9738 1633.

They quickly answered an email inquiry regarding payment methods.

I have placed my order now and have received a confirmation email. I payed for shipping priority due to the savings and tracking functions are great for piece of mind. I will receive an email when the item is packed and posted, this email will include my tracking info.

I will update this review in the days following.

door 3 days later. That is not super fast but it is fast enough for my needs.

THe only issue to report was that the DHL courier did require a signature so that oould be an issue for some who are not at home or can't ship to the office.

The product range was not as big as I expected so I email CE and was told they would have double the number of products in a few weeks. It that's true I'll be going back on a regular basis.

One of the reviewers user names I saw posted on another review works for a bike shop I know of so I can't say I have too much confidence it it. Fast shipping + good prices and product range need to sign to receive goods / search future on site not very good

I showed them when I took the bike back! They told me they would call when they had a frame, that call never came, more call only to be told there were no frames available in Australia, so then told when [name removed] the owner is in Taiwan at the factory that is his job to find me a frame. Now 2 months on surprise surprise no frames available, no return phone call from the sales man when promised, then 3 months later got told maybe another 4 weeks for a frame but they couldn't guarantee that time.

They then decided to offer me a base model de rose frame for $300 which i decdeclined due to the fact my mezzo was supposed to be the top model. Then was offered a de Rosa merak which I accepted, only because they couldn't give a time frame on azzurri frame, so still had to pay $250 for something I shouldn't have had to, a joke of a company, been deleted off facebook by them because of these same honest comments. Would be nice to get the money back off them which I shouldnt have had to pay! they can delete negative comments but they stop me telling all the members at my bike club about what happened, which is one of the biggest clubs In melbourne, nothing like word and mouth! I still have my receipt if they would like to refund my money, but wouldn't expect any replies like usual. Be warned

account once you refer a friend.We bought the bike for over $1000 and waited for this referral commission to buy second carbon.I called them 3 times and first had word with [name removed] so supposedly said will fix it and I will get 5% asap after talking to web developer. 6 weeks later I called again and the lady on the phone diverted call to a cellphone and kept on hold for 30 mins. I got [censored word removed] off, disconnected and called again and said I don't have time to stay that long. They committed a callback and never called back ever. It just not happened one,two but three times in 2 months.Now, I have given up and dropped idea of getting second bike from these guys. These guys are just fake. Worst customer service I have ever seen even compared to any overseas call center. I had at least 5 people at work looking ahead with the purchasing this carbon bike but minds are changed now. I would suggest you to make sure if you are buying something from here and if there is a problem, Live with it or forget it !
