Terrible – My mum and I both brought this machine. It constantly leaks water. It’s loud and doesn’t wash clothes that great either. The seals have become loose and mouldy quickly. basically be my fault if the drains were clogged. I thoroughly checked all the drains, taking the drainage pipes apart, and could find no blockages. The machine was still under warranty at that point, so it should have been repaired under warranty, and I asked them to send a repairman out, despite their unwarranted aggression at having to do so. They sent a repairman who I found extremely dodgy, who replaced the pump, but then told me that it wasn't a mechanical fault, that the drains were blocked (the ones I checked) but that he was doing me a kindness by replacing a perfectly "working" pump with a new one and only charged me $100, a week before Christmas. He never showed me that the old pump still worked despite me requesting that if there was nothing wrong with it, he should put it back in and show me, and when I did demand that, he got very grumpy and demanded his money and left. When I complained about the incident to Daewoo, they just told me where to go. I should have gotten consumer affairs involved at that point, but being that it was Chrismas, I decided to leave it and cut my losses since the machine was working again. A year later, the exact same thing happened again with the pump. This time I replaced it myself. It cost around $75 for the part (they mark up their parts for the average consumer). and again it worked perfectly for a year. And now it's broken again. I'm now having to buy a new machine, which I truly think Daewoo should pay for, because their machine has been the biggest nightmare on the planet. I cannot say this enough DO NOT BUY FROM DAEWOO. Their customer service is rude and aggressive. Their repairmen are dodgy and will lie to get paid, and their products are better off on a scrap heap. Never, ever, ever again, the whole experience has been extremely distressing and upsetting to me. If I can save anyone else from that experience, I will.

DONT BUY ONE ! – Motor blew up and I came home to a houseful of smoke lucky it didn't catch on fire ! Help desk was terrible to deal with and no help at all ! NEVER again !

washing powder so that problem was fixed. I nearly stuffed it when a 50c piece went through the wash. But the repair man hammered things back into place and did a bit of a glue job and we went on with it. Now nearly 3 years on the motor has given up. Our last washing machine we had for over 10 years, it was a top loader and barely had any trouble with it. Now we need to buy a new washing machine. The Daewoo help desk were very helpful but this is a terrible product. It did not do a great job washing either, was fiddly to clean, gathering dirt in the plastic wash rim. On Eco wash or a hot wash it put dirt all over the clothes...

Do not buy this machine!!! – You cannot use short cycle on this site machine as it failed 9 out of 10 times from day one. Terrible customer service if you ring customer service number saying my load is unbalanced and I have placed too much clothing to wash when in fact it was only 3 tea towels!! Great Product! – The product has been fantastic to own! Washes clothes well every time with a number of different settings to choose from. Product comes with a long warranty but have not had any issues with it at all, but good to know its there. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced, good quality machine. reliable, energy and water efficient nothing as yet

Poor quality ... it will end up costing you more than it's worth in the long run – Firstly, it does a good job of washing your clothes: that's the end of the good stuff... The motherboard failed within the first year (replaced under warranty). Then the warranty expired... whatever it feels like, such as going through the spin cycle over and over and over (the clothes end up pretty well ruined)

From time to time it comes up with a pump error which clears itself eventually

Now it has the E8 error... and I can understand why! Much of the noise that comes out of the machine during spin is from the brushes arcing... It lights up like fireworks around the motor!

stay away from this machine... It washes well, when it's working unreliable and poor quiality

bright white. Considering the washer has never been exposed to direct sunlight & has been cleaned and cared for properly, it's really an eyesore in our laundry now. When I contacted Daewoo, I was told it was up to the extended warranty company to deal with, even after I explained that the extended warranty was mechanical and electrical, not cosmetic. I was then advised that the washer was well out of manufacturers warranty and the issue of the appalling appearance of the unit was not even acknowledged. Perhaps there was a fault with the plastic, perhaps Daewoo are just built from cheap rubbish that will not last.....since Daewoo don't seem interested at all in me bringing the problem to their attention I guess we will never know!! We will never purchase this brand again, and would not recommend it to anyone. I have never had white goods deteriorate in appearance like this and ive owned some for a really long time!! Poor quality product, even poorer customer service. Washes well A 3 year old washing machine has deteriorated so badly in colour on numerous front panels that it looks like it is about 30 years old!!! Not likely to last long enough – This machine was bought to replace a LG washing machine that failed after 2 years, so we didn't want up spend a lot only to get dudded again. extended warranty we paid for! Did a good job washing, the 30 minute wash was effective at washing and handy. Door filled with water. Motor only lasted 22 months.

Buyer Beware – Worked well for a year then the dreaded "E8" error (motor or brushes). Got it repaired under warranty only for it to happen again another 12 months later. It was 1 month out of warranty and Daewoo (Castel) refused to fix it because the warranty had expired. Cost of repair will almost equal the cost of buying a new one. Not bad while it lasted – Had the machine for about 5 years and have had no issues with it until recently, it refuses to drain which means the pump is busted. working order it performed to my satisfaction. Clothes came out really clean, fast and did the job really well. Clothes came out really clean in the express mode, efficient, crease care, rinse plus mode and child lock. A little on the noisy side, busted pump after 5 years.

Rubbish – I thought i was buying a good machine as it cost $699 how wrong was i. It has broke (E8) which means motor and or brushes in 18 months. I bought a front loader to save water not only have i used more by handwashing but also have spent more money in the launderett I also found the person i spoke to very rude and unhelpful to start with easy in water. now nothing Smelly. bad rubber that has torn already that i have to replace

Not very impressed – I purchased this machine in March 2011. It washed ok to start but progressivly got worse and its also very noisy. My biggest issue is that the plastic arm iside the machine that rotates the clothes snapped off during a cycle and Daewoo refuse to cover it under warranty. little bit worried whether I should spend around 1000 for something that does pretty much the same job as this machine or should I just buy this one as it's been perfect for my parents.

I am actually considering Daewoo brand. The only thing we have replaced after 4 years of use is this tiny little rubber pipe, that my dad bought for 7$ and replaced himself, now it's working as new.Who would have known!

Amazing product. Would def recommend. Great machine for a great price. A bit noisy while on spinning cycle. Bathroom/Laundry door should be closed

Excellent – Does a great job and has'nt let us down.Like others I too was concerned about purchasing as I like to stick to 'Traditional' Brands.But no worry with this one at all. Great machine!! Fantastic cycle choice.

Beware, it does not last long – We bought the DWD-F1222 two years ago. It came with 2 years warranty + additional 3 years on bowl. On top of that we also bought an extended 3 years warranty. electrocution. Store which sold the washer had closed. Contacted Daewoo but was told not claimable, not even on the drum because the bowl in their warranty actually refers to the stainless steel bowl inside and not the drum itself! nothing really outstanding when compared to other same priced range. Does not last long even under normal domestic use. Poor warranty conditions.

Disappointed – Machine has stopped operating. Error code (E8) doesn't exist in the manual. Suspect a drive belt has broken, but being Sunday can't get hold of service centre. cycle to empty the thing before you can open the door to try and re-arrange load (if you can since it all startrs at the bottom anyway). Clothes appear to be "wetter" than old top loaders we used to have.

Spin cycle on this machine causes electrical interference which upsets Digital television. Easy controls Inefficient spinning, electrical interference, inadequate manual. (Current mecanical issue not taken into account).

Great for the Price – Great machine,does a great wash and does not leave any washing powder residue on the clothes and also rinses alot better than my last Bosch machine. The air bubble and silver nano washing is excellent and clothes come out very clean.
