Extremely unhappy with Daikin ducted heating system – Since installation Daikin ducted heating we are not able to heat the house if the outside temperature is under 5 degrees and struggle if outside temperature is under 10 degrees. The air coming of ducts is just like warm. Technicians installing the heating system came back after installation and said it is OK. Comparing with the wall unit systems, the ducted heating is just wasted money! Show details

Just out of warranty – We had a FDYQN160/RZQ160 installed in March 2016. Just a ew months out of warranty and w had to replace the outdoor unit PCB and 2 fans costing us $2900. recommend this product nor would I ever buy a Daikin again. We have 2 ducted systems installed every year and usually use Daikin but we will be installing a lower cost unit from now on as the expensive Daikin systems are obviously cheap quality Andrew May Grandview Farm Homes

now installed the Daikin ducted system for almost a year and I have to say we are very happy with it! It cools and heats quickly and the machine outside is fairly quiet. Having zoning saves on electricity and is more environmentally friendly too.

Overall, we would highly recommend the Daikin ducted system!

Pathetic Service – Its been more than a month i ordered for a Daikin 12 KW ducted AC unit paying 4000$ to the dealer. I still don't have the unit nor a confirmation on when its going to be available . No customer service – Air conditioner broke down after 10 months .Took 7 weeks to repair.....NO customer service...Was very nice when it was 32 degrees for those 7 weeks ..Wouldn't complain if it was fixed in a couple of days but 7 weeks is a bit tough Show details

Disappointed with heating – This is the second winter of using it. Not happy with it for heating: cooling is fine. It seems so inefficient to have to run it 24hrs a day to maintain at least some warmth. well as heavy curtains drawn on all windows, (yes, it feels like I'm living in a cave) I can never get the room temperature to within 2-4 degrees of the temp on the control panel. Set it to 18 overnight, 16 degrees in the lounge-room in the morning. Set it to 24 on a cold day and it struggles to get to 19. Yes, I could turn up the controls, but I worry about my electricity bill. I used to have a wall mounted system that did a much better job of heating than this one. I now think I should have stayed with one of those.

This air conditioner has made such a difference to our lives – This air conditioner works amazingly well. The control panel is high tech however easy to use. We love the fact that we can turn it on remotely from our phones. Show details

very quick to cool down our home (or just a single room) on a hot day. The only thing we would note is you do need at least 3 vents open at any one time - works well for us as a family, generally having at least two rooms on, but it wouldn't be possible to only use it in say a bedroom without having the living area on at the same time.

Breakdown after one year – Had a Daikin FDYQN125L ducted air conditioning system installed just over one year ago and had been very happy with its cooling (excellent) and heating (okay but not fantastic) until recently when it just stopped working. properly. Have had to survive in sweltering heat for two weeks over Xmas and New Year. All staff have been friendly and professional but they can't make up for faulty equipment. Not a good recommendation for Daikin products, especially as it cost us almost $10,000. The unit failed on December 18 (when we notified the installer) and it is now January 3. Yes, it is the Xmas/New Year period and staff levels are no doubt low at Daikin spare parts department, but a one year old product just shouldn’t fail if it is fit for service. Not happy. Friends in same area had exactly the same problem with exactly the same unit.

Great air – My Daikin AC kept my house warm this winter, heating up a big living room. Power rating on the high side but if you need the house heated up, there is a cost. Great features with the standard AC but even better with the connected iZone functionality. Easy to use, Great iPad Wall panel with flexibility to manage the AC from mobile devices. Great air conditioner – Was advised by the person I had install my air conditioner who I had a lot of trust in that this air conditioner was the best pick of them all so on his advice I went with it and can say I am glad I took his advice. I am very happy with this one as it seems to do the job with ease and is so quiet and efficient. Glad to have installed when we did – Very quiet, efficient and cools very quickly. Installation was done very efficiently and professionally. Control panel simple to operate.I think its reputation as a superior brand in the market is well earned.No issue for past 4 years of heating and cooling especially in the 40-degree centigrade summer we have been experiencing.With the energy bill skyrocketing it is an expensive option but essential to comfortable living.  Show details

Stops when you need it most – I have had this sytem installed in my new house and it has given nothing but trouble. As soon as it getss to hot or a thunder storm strikes the outdoor unit/compressor stops working. I think daikin are to high tech and not too highly tested. Bit in front of themselves technically.

Would I buy or recommend Daikin? No.
