Damp Solutions DH2500-EW Slimline 25L

Poor Performance – I was excited when the unit first arrived. It is slimline with digital controls. I set up on in one of our bedrooms, and I noticed that the humidity in the room was coming down very slowly. We have a different brand dehumidifier rated at 20l/day, so I placed the two units next to each other and started them in the morning and left them running on high until the next morning. When I checked them in the morning, the 6litre tank on our other dehumidifier was full, and the Dampsolutions unit had extracted less than 600ml. So less than 1/10th the amount of water! I tried numerous settings and I could not get the unit to perform, but when I returned it to the shop, they tested it and said it was working perfectly. . .

We will be getting a second unit of the other brand, which is less expensive and works much better.

Performance aside, the tank is small and awkward to empty, but it does have a continuous drain option, so the tank doesnt matter if you want to use that feature. It also beeps a number of times when it is full, so something to consider if you want to run it in or near a bedroom at night. Any other units we have looked at just have an indicator light. The beeping feature would be convenient if you could turn it off when you didn't want it.

It has an auto restart feature, so you could run it on a timer, or if their is a power outage it would come back on.

It is a tidy unit that doesnt take up much space. It is no louder than other dehumidifiers. Slimline, digitial controls, humidstat, auto restart, auto shut off when tank full Doesnt dehumidfy very well, small awkward storage tank, noise indicator when tank full.

What a great device for the home! – Having used the slimline 25L dehumidifier , purchased from Damp Solutions in 2010, I could not live without it. Anytime there is excess moisture in or home the machine turns on automatically and dries the air to 60%RH. I have no musty smells or mould problems in my lounge or media room. Previous to that I was cleaning up mould on walls and especially in cupboards every wet season. The ease of use and the quiet fan. I have to wait 30sec before the soft start begins, but this is OK...
