No regrets from me – After copious amounts of research, I settled on this DeLonghi cooktop when we renovated our kitchen in mid 2007. I have no complaints. It did exactly what we expected, and looked like new when we recently sold our house (2016). We had no service calls and no problems with the markings wearing off. I only ever cleaned it with soapy water, then rinsed with clear. I loved the look of it and the cast iron trivets made it feel sturdy and stable. The property we've just moved into has a 12 year old electric cooktop that we are binning as soon as possible. After looking around and researching again, I can't find another one I'm prepared to take a chance on. We looked at Bosch, Blanco and others, but I've just ordered the slightly larger 700mm gas cooktop DEGH70W and I can't wait. For us, this seems the answer.

Bad – Nice to use, but get a 4-burner cooktop with etched legend rather than inadequate screen-printed graphics, and look at side controls instead. Good unit, auto cut-off, Nice to use, Stainless remains looking good. Ignition is good. small coffee jug burner good. We have the similar cooktop, DeLonghi DGH 570w, bought in 2004 he legend on the knobs are screen printed, and at the front where fat etc splashes occur. After 18 months of light use, cleaning with only water and washing-up liquid, this legend wears off and becomes unreadable. We had the first replaced under warranty, and the second has done the same. Obviously screen printing is inadequate, as other manufacturer's tops are etched, as should be.

When using the wok unit in the centre of this 5-burner unit, it precludes the use of the other rings as pans cannot be fitted on them.

Excellent – There is nothing bad to say about this gas cook top so far. My previous gas cook top had steel trivets which move around qutie a bit and I have found the cast iron to be so much better. Also the removable knobs are a must for easy cleaning. It can also simmer at low temps really well. I recommend this product to everyone. You won't be disappointed at all. Electronic ignition, nice heavy cast iron trivets don't move around, knobs are removable to clean, pretty easy to clean, stainless steel looks very stylish None to mention so far
