Reliable – Bought this item second hand 4 years ago. Very reliable. Live out west where summer can be too hot. Kept my room cold and comfortable. The only thing I didn’t like is the grill is fixed and can’t be adjusted
Purchased in for $150.

I and my toy poodle love it! – I bought this DeLonghi PACA100 ECO In the summer of 2015 for my small unit. It was very humid in Sydney that year and I needed a portable a/c as I don't have space on my walls for a built in. Anyway, when it's breezy I open the front and back doors and use my chrome floor fan, which is quite powerful. However, as soon as the humidity hits, which is nearly every day (especially this summer) it's horrendous. I switch on the a/c, close all the doors incl. the inside rooms, turn it 18° with the fan on high and at the same time switch on the floor fan, which circulates the a/c and it's bliss. It is a bit noisy but I put subtitles on the TV and I don't have to turn it up loud. The window attachment was easy to affix and the fitting came with a long piece that effectively blocks the small space in my sliding window. The remote is handy for adjusting temp and fan. I bought it for around $600 from Bing Lee and I can honestly say it's been wonderful. I hate the humidity and I have been very happy with this purchase. After a couple of hours I turn it to 21° or 22° and turn down the fan and this is how I run it. The salesman who sold it to me delivered it in his car, for which I was very grateful. When I went outside to test the air being expelled...it was HOT, so that's better out than in. OMG I hope I haven't jinxed it. Sitting here between the A/C and the fan and I'm a happy woman. Great machine and I think, value for money 4 stars
Purchased in at Bing Lee for $600.

Waste of money, BEWARE!!! – I bought this unit a few years ago, it worked for a little while and then became an expensive large fan. No cold air came out. I contacted Delonghi and they referred me to these 2 service agents, below. The 1 from Hornsby was rude and would not provide an estimation of when they could even look or estimate a cost of repairs & was not interested, the other was nice and professional but wanted to charge a $80 call out fee and then about $60 for every 12 minutes, for a minimum of 1hr and they also could not tell me when someone would call me to book a time - but at least they were pleasant on the phone.
I have since gone back to Delonghi and told them of my experiences with their service agents & they only apologised and said they are the only people that will service the units. Big palm off!

Pleased I purchased this unit – I purchased my unit for the dog. I am coming into my third summer of use, the dog and myself are very happy with its performance and features. It is not as quite as I would like but I have not compared it to other model or brands. I wanted another window unit and was happy and surprised at the excellent customer service I received.

Looked awesome however we ended up with two lemons! – We purchased the air to water portable a/c to keep the bedroom cool for the new baby. Unfortunately the first a/c had a faulty water hose. Luckily there were no problems replacing the Unit however the next one was also faulty. So either we have really bad luck or the model is not very reliable. Air to water for better cooling Faulty

Save yourself some money and peace if mind.. I bought a unit.. its wheel got broken in transport..second one, the replacement took good 6 weeks and then problem started ...it can not even cool 3mx3m bedroom in 8 hoours time..room is fully insulated and carpeted..only one wall facing the sun.. requested servicing..no problems found..as per them unit is working as specifications.. requested Delonghi to take it back.. they said since 4 months have passed and its working as designed and per CORPORATE specifications .. it will coold down temperature by -10 degrees as compare to outside.. If outside temp is 44+ inside will be 34+ only. grrrrgh. I work night shifts and no respite from the heat.. did my self a favour and bought evaporative cooler from Big W - 70 bucks and really happy.. Now waiting for invoice from service guys and I will request them to take your DUD AC back..
