DGTEC - Set Top Box DG-HD1609 – Unit has a very good EPG and is easy to operate. Only down side is when using a USB recording stick from EPG guide, the recording often ceases half way through, giving you a black screen with no picture or sound, so half movie is lost.

volume on remote doesn't work – When you plug this into a TV and have it running from HDMI, the volume and the OK buttons often cease working. This is really painful and there doesn't seem to be any firmware available from the manufacturer to re-set. Other than that the unit works well but also when attaching a hard-drive with USB the performance is variable. Simple easy to use design Loss of control on volume, OK keys and sometime the channel number keys.

Really easy to use compared with my LG – Great price, good warranty, easy to use and program. USB allows for programs to be watched elsewhere. This PVR is ideal for our second bedroom, my wife and I hate adds, so it works nice, best feature is the ability to adjust the timer in setting, so it will commence recording 3 -10 minutes prior to schedule time and 3-100 minutes post scheduled time, the commerical channels are the worst for running wrong times. Easy menus, excellent quality
