Bad – Let me sum it up with the ultimate phrase - you get what you pay for. Make of that what you will. Cheap. Useful printed manual. Quality is bad. After months of pixellations and awful pictures and sound, no matter what we tried, it was replaced with a decent non-Digicrystal unit. And good lord, what a difference the new unit makes. Rock solid, sparkling pictures and sound. If only the digicrystal had this from day one.

Excellent – I you have interference from light switches etc. your signal is weak. Interference from washing machines etc. may be the fault of the appliance. Does everything I want it to. Price. No dedicated PVR buttons.

Good – For what I paid ($63) I was almost deliriously happy. :) But since we're reviewing here... Even on my dodgy antenna system I get better signals than I deserve to. Not quite as good as the Topfield I tried, but close. The LED display is so faint as to be useless in daylight (maybe it's just mine) but everything else works fine. Organising… Read more

channels can be messy and tedious, but you pick up the easy way just as you've finished most of 'em. No signal strength indicator or frequency indication in the "info" box on each channel, makes it tedious to eliminate "duplicates" based on signal strength or transmission source. (I pick up signals from several directions.) Not much delay when changing channels. Supplied Scart/RCA/SVHS cable could be a little longer. Remote is well laid out, with discrete "text" button. Nice. And the unit was dead easy to set up. But read the "quick set up" instructions first...! Recommended. Small size, works well, good price if you shop around. Not quite as sensitive as some, LED display very faint, manual could be improved.

Good – I got my unit through e-bay for $55 (not bad when the recommended retail price is $199). For the price it is a great unit. The automatic setup worked fine except for SBS. Once I had turned on the "Mobile" setting and rescanned it was prefect. This was not made clear in the manual. Once that had been done the unit worked fine. My only problem… Read more

now is I need another one so I can watch one and have the other connected to my VCR! (Or better still a Digicrystal PVR) This is generally an easy product to set up even using an indoor antenna. It has plenty of features and is easy to use. Price was fantastic. Manual is a little patchy and the software that runs the unit could do with some tweaking to make it just that little more user friendly.

Good – Looks good. Works well & how can you argue with the price. Easy to set up and use. Very good reception using indoor antenna. Time shown on front LED readout (not always an option on even higher priced STB's). Timer function is a great idea, but broadcasters don't yet appear to offer program info beyond now & next. Best of all was the price: $98… Read more

from Strathfield! Poor explanation, I felt, in manual of how to use Timer function. Lack of EPG for all available channels at the same time (can only access info on current channel showing).
