Dux Marathon

reliable nil probs – we've had our Dux 315 Mararthon for over 11 years with no problems and I have to admit no servicing or anode changing just replaced our tank with same brand Dux but pro flo as no marathon avail but reviews have me worried . used reputable plumber so hoping We haven't purchased a dud this time  Show details

315L Marathon bought in 2005 & Still going strong – Have had our 315L Marathon for over 10 yrs. Had the PTR valve replaced during in warranty, and when it failed again was our inlet water pressure problem than the hot water system, once a pressure limiting valve fitted it has been absolutely problem free. Is on off peak & as a busy family of 4 and have very rarely even run out of hot water. It is an awesome hot water heater!  Show details

dont buy dux – have had dux solar hot water system since 2009 now we are on our 3rd system rang dux up today 20/7/16 to explain the problem only to be told its out of warranty i told them this is the 3rd one only to be told that is your bad luck you will have to buy a new one so they obviously cannot make a system that can last more than 4 years stay well clear… Read more

of dux you have been warned now after no sort of help i think its time for consumer affairs to help with all rhe negative feedback you think they would help more

Lasted less than 3 weeks then worst customer service ever!! – I run a busy veterinary practice in Far North Queensland. We recently replaced our water system with a Dux. After less than three weeks of operation it died. We had it repaired ASAP (you actually need hot water in a vet clinic!!) by the very reputable installer. them first. I'm sorry but when you by a product that should last 10 years and it lasts 20 days you should really be prepared to stand by your product. The repair bill was a very reasonable $160 dollars. What was worst was the Terrible attitude we recieved when following things up with the Dux phone represntatives.

They just kept banging on about us needing to ring them first and failed at any stage to acknowledge or apologise for selling us a dodgy product in the first place. Do Not Buy Anything From Dux If You Want Good Customer Service.

Died after 20 days! Awful company attitude!!

Terrible – Stay well clear,load of rubbish.Makes one wonder how a Company like this can stay in business.Now own unit from different mob,fingers crossed. Cheap & easy to swap over. First unit delivered damaged,easy to tell it was packed that way.Secound unit leaked after 6 months.Unit number 3 thermostat packs up after 18 months.Now at the tip.

Excellent – Great product. Will buy another this year before the government loonies banned full electric hot water system. Install and forget and no maintenance Have had a 400l unit for 11 years. It's been cheap to run ($30-$40 a quarter) using off peak power for 5 people. Never ran out of hot water. None. This unit has worked flawlessly for 11 years.
