I am liking the practicality of this compact unit – I am not a confident chainsaw operator in fact i find them to be bloody scary but in saying that it is a tool that is needed in my profession. I like The top handle and position of the chain break i find it to be an easy to start machine and the compact size makes it user friendly and great for quick jobs the power output is good making it less likely to kickback and found it very comfortable to use.
And still happy with it
Excellent – I've owned mine for 2 years. I run a tree/hedge pruning business, so the saw gets used daily. I've been very happy with it, it's powerful enough for pruning/limbing & small tree removals. It's very durable, I've never had to fix it other than buy new bars & chains from all the use it gets. Power to weight is excellent. Mine is stock other than I run a 12" bar rather than the 14" it comes with, I'm told they respond well to muffler modification & a carb tune(even more power. I'll be buying another when the need arises. price is great, power to weight is good, it's durable, I've never had to clean the air filter, starts easy. the 14" bar makes it nose heavy IMO, easy fixed by fitting a 12" bar & chain.
The saw is now well over 4 years old & has been my daily workhorse. It has been used every work day & has never let me down ever! I've worn out 5 bars & countless chains on it taking down & pruning trees & the only other repair its had has been to replace the starter rope.
It still runs very well, but it is nearing the end of its life as my daily work saw & will be retired to become a spare.
It will be replaced by another Echo 350TES.
PS: I still haven't had to clean out the air filter!
Edit: here we are another 4 years down the track & it still runs like a champ. I bought an Echo 360TES in 2015 as a replacement, because the 350TES was no longer available. The 350TES & the 360TES now rotate through my toolbox. The 360TES is a good saw, but the 350TES remains my favorite.
I used it again yesterday, to take the top off a tree for a customer. I wish that they still made them!
