Stay away from all electrolux – We have a built in micowave, oven, rangehood, and cooktop. The microwave control knob does not work, as its built in its going to be awful to replace as nothing else fits without modifications. I really hate this brand, the oven does not maintain decent temperature, the rangehood is far too noisy, and now the induction cooktop is cutting out on one panel. Show details
Control knob defective – This Microwave was purchased to compliment about $6000 worth of Electrolux kitchen appliances (DUO Ovens and Induction cooktop for our new home. All appliances were installed in the new home in April 2013. The control knob is now unusable as you have to turn it 10-20 times to get it to increase the minutes but it struggles to even do that. I would… Read more
be very grateful if anyone can assist with resolving this fault. Other than this issue, the Microwave has performed flawlessly. Thank you.
Just stopped heating - I was able to get it repaired – I actually like this microwave, but I don't like electrolux. When my built-in microwave, that matched our other ovens, stopped working, Electrolux claimed the unit cannot be serviced. THAT'S A LIE I found someone to fix my microwave. i wanted it fixed because it matches our other appliances and Electrolux no longer make a model that fits… Read more

Seriously, who's the genius in the product marketing department at Electrolux that thinks it's good business to COMPLETELY change the dimensions of the new models of microwaves so that people who previously bought a BUILT-IN Electrolux microwave can't replace it with another Electrolux model EVEN IF THEY WANT TO without remodeling their kitchen. Dear product designer at electrolux - IT'S A BUILT IN KIT - you could have designed your new microwave to fit the old built-in kits AS WELL as creating a new slimmer version as you have. This would be a GOOD idea. It means more BUSINESS for you.
I have spent $270 on getting my microwave repaired, but that makes me far happier than giving any more money to Electrolux. They offered me a discount on a newer model, but only if I lived in NSW. I think the model is superseded already anyway.
You have lost me as a customer for life, Electrolux.
Biggest load of rubbish I ever bought – Made the mistake of buying this to fit the appearance of my Elecrolux and AEG kitchen. Replaced a still working 17 year old cheap microwave with this, mistake. Would cut out after microwaving for 5 minutes, had to wait 20 minutes to work again. Now failing to microwave at all. Grill was always rubbish. Spent way too much money on it but decided to… Read more
replace it with a new cheap microwave rather than repair, even repaired it would be an inferior product
Built in microwave danger – This is what Electrolux call a consumable - It is a fully custom built in cabinet unit and the globe went - well they cannot replace a bulb so you have to remove a builtin microwave and take to store and get a replacement - In this case Electrolux changed the dimensions of the new model as Built in and cannot fit into the original space - Note… Read more
this is only 7 months old. Companies need to consider cabinet dimensions like washing machines will fit into the space of a recent model. Cabinet makers costs are huge and that is only if you can make change - normally you cannot.
Microwave stopped working, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! – Microwave suddenly stopped working. Purchased new expensive top of the range Electrolux Products including Pyrolytic Oven, Convection Microwave Oven and Gas Hob for our newly renovated kitchen. All built in to Electrolux dimensions. As all the other reviews the Microwave Oven has stopped working suddenly. Was told by service that Electrolux don't… Read more
repair Microwaves. EXPECT MORE THAN 3YRS SERVICE FROM THIS PRODUCT! Poor customer service. What do we do now with the hole in the wall? Looks great and worked really well until Microwave stopped working suddenly. Microwave stopped working suddenly. Poor Customer Service.

Stay well clear of this product – I bought this product (as well as the matching oven and fridge) when we did a kitchen reno a couple of years ago. Like the other purchaser the microwave function recently stopped working. As Electrolux do not service microwaves I called a technician who advised he couldn't get any spare parts. I then called customer service who said bad luck it's… Read more
out of warranty and to contact the retailer to see if they could 'do me a deal' (I even quoted the reviews where an offer of $400 for a replacement was mentioned). I explained that a $850 microwave should last more than two years and I am reluctant to spend this sort of money for a product that may only last another 2 years. After calling E&S Trading (who have excellent customer service by contrast) and after explaining the situation I received a call two days later saying that E&S would replace the microwave. I was extremely fortunate I purchased this product from a reputable retailer and cannot fault E&S on their initial and ongoing customer service (as well as very competitive prices). Electrolux have a lot to learn!
Defective product combined with non existent customer service from Electrolux
Microwave function stopped working – After reading Ann story I feel like being xxxx over too. It sounded all to familiar with what happened to mine. Microwave stopped working just after warranty expired, no repair possible. Conclusion: stay away from this one and preferably from any other Electrolux. Why? Customer service is rubbish if you have a problem with the product

Very disappointing. Would never buy an Electrolux microwave again – The microwave function oven stopped working after 3 years. Imagine my disappointment when told that Electrolux do not provide spare parts for their microwave ovens so my $820 convection microwave could not be repaired. My husband contacted Electrolux and Denise returned his call and suggested they would replace the microwave if we were to pay… Read more
$500. After discussions with the ACCC and ORS I tried to contact Denise on 3 occasions without success. I then contacted Electrolux directly and spoke to Maria who made the same offer but we would have to pay $400. I emailed Maria outlining my disappointment with the performance of the microwave which I did not believe had served the purpose for which it was intended, surely I could expect more than 3 years out of an expensive microwave. She stated that there was nothing more she could do and her offer of replacing the microwave for $400 was the final offer. Buyers should also be aware that I was told by Maria that Electrolux do not offer extended warranties on their Microwave ovens. This is a perfect example of built in obsolescence.
Broke down, could not be repaired, did not provide the length of service for which it was purchased, low warranty period
Under a new law, customers may still have a right to return defective goods even if the manufacturer's warranty period has expired
Do not buy this!!! – Firstly - it is built in so when you have problems you also have issues with the 'hole in the wall' Secondly - the M/W function ceases to work after a while, sadly for us after the warranty period (just). Electrolux do not service they only replace (within warranty) so there are few options other than buy another one. I dont want a product with… Read more
a 2 year life, especially a built in one. They appear to have a faulty product after reading all the replacement stories. There are other brands and products out there - this is all we can do as consumers, vote with your feet. looked good in the renovated house built in and unable to fix only replace providing within warranty. appears incapable of lasting a reasonable amount of time without major issues
We would love the opportunity to discuss the concerns… Read more (+3 replies)
Not Impressed – Our builder installed this model microwave oven into our new home. The first microwave did not work at all and showed evidence of burning inside the unit. It was replaced after about 3 weeks of negotiation between our builder and Electrolux ( which of course meant 3 weeks without a microwave!). The second microwave made all the right sounds… Read more
and lit up as though it should have been heating our food but it was still cold. We couldn't believe that such an expensive product was giving such trouble. Finally the third microwave is working but sometimes the turntable struggles to turn smoothly.
In short, we are pretty unimpressed and probably wouldn't buy Electrolux again as we also had trouble with the shelving of the new Electrolux oven. To their credit the units were replaced but who wants the hassle of this in a new home?
Electrolux will not service microwave ovens even if they are only a few weeks old. Electrolux need to take a Greener approach to business.
