No online support/data to even clean the inner window! Complex, unintuitive menu operation – Haven't used it to its full potential as it is too complex for smart users to use. Not intuitive. Interface needs some basic user testing before release. Sooo frustrating not beige able to get any meaningful support online. Great features that are IMPOSSIBLE to utilise without a manual. Inner door window clouds over with no way of cleaning 12 months after purchase. Show details

Stay away – Fan stopped working after 2 years & no one in our area will fix it as we are in a country area. Not good enough. I have found the Electrolux technical support not very helpful at all. Should have read these reviews first!! – Like many others in this forum, I bought the Electrolux convection microwave to suit the Electrolux oven we own. I didn't need a convection but was keen on having matching appliances so I paid the extra. Well like most others, mine stopped working within 2 years. It couldn't be repaired and they were unwilling to replace it under the extended… Read more

Very poor response from Electrolux re EM3067X microwave – We have an Electrolux EM3067X microwave that has had only limited use but continually switches itself off when using the microwave function without achieving the desired result. Electrolux confirmed as many others have found that they will not repair it or attempt to repair it after 12 months. For an item that cost over $800 this is an extremely poor response. This is the first an last Electrolux item that we will ever purchase.  Show details

Loved this microwave convection grill – Only problem was the dial kept jumping. We have now just updated to the newest model, not as happy. The old model had a fan that kept the microwave from steaming up. After cooking veggies in the new microwave it is dripping with water. If you don't wipe it out after every use water runs down the sides off the door. Not very good. Loved my old one better

Very Good – Bought this convection microwave oven from a friend nearly 3 years ago who was relocating overseas and touch wood it hasn't missed a trick. I have a small unit in an over 55 village and I needed a dual purpose oven. Convection oven works as good as any conventional oven I have had. Microwave cooks food well and has good defrost function. Finally oven looks good too in stainless steel.

Dont waste your money – So not impressed with this microwave. I purchased this convection microwave approx 3 1/2 years ago I had a choice between 3 at the time the reason that swayed me was I thought that Electrolux was a good quality brand, wow have I been fooled. that much use. Then all of a sudden the Microwave part wont work the convection and grill part do. Not impressed for a nearly $500 microwave. My microwave before this was a cheap Sharp one that had lasted 10 years and was still working !!!!! Then I call Electrolux as I think well Ill get it fixed and they inform me that it isnt serviceable. What Tha?? they make an appliance but you can fix it!!!!!! so I might as well just throw it in the bin. Will never be buying another Electrolux appliance and will certainly be telling as many people as I can

Such a shame for what was such a promising microwave – I first bought this microwave in May 2011, and it needed replacement in July 2012. In July 2015 it started going on the blink again. Sadly it sounds like making it to three years is actually a pretty good run for this model. It seems ridiculous that a microwave this expensive needs replacing so often. It is great having combined functionality. The oven setting is not bad, but not as even heating or browning as an actual oven and it tends to shrink/shrivel potato skins if you try to bake with skins on.

Expensive microwave with a very short life – I bought my Electrolux convection microwave oven 2 years ago as i installed a new kitchen and all my appliances are Electrolux (oven and cooktop) and thought the mircowave would look great above the over, which is did.. I used the convection oven often for pies, chips, pastizzi and baking a small amount of veggies and loved it as i live alone and… Read more

it was perfect. I used the microwave to defrost and heat up milk for my coffee or hot choc. Recently the microwave part is not heating my milk up i put it in for almost 2 mins and it turns the light is on but a funny electrical smell comes from under the oven and then when its done the milk is slightly warmed, other times it heats up well and other times it doesn't. The convection oven still works but the turn table does rattle.

I called the customer support and they told me they do not service this model of microwave and its best to buy a new one.. [censored word removed] after 2 years, my mum still uses her $99 sharp microwave and its 15 years old! Really disappointed!

Poor quality, microwave uneven cooking – I bought the Electrolux to replace my Panasonic microwave as I wanted a convection microwave. Looked good too, fitted right into my kitchen with the stainless steel trim on the facia. Straight away I noticed the noisy turntable that was very rough in it's operation. As per other comments above, it seemed to lag and was very clunky like a… Read more

slipping belt drive. I also thought it would loosen up but it didn't...

The stainless interior looks great, right until something splashes up on it during convection cooking. I couldn't clean it (and I attempted to clean it immediately after cooking) I've used just about every product I can think of, but can't remove any of the stains. As a last resort I used a scourer which just scratched the stainless steel. I've ended up just leaving the stains, can't remove them.

My Panasonic microwave was great at cooking food evenly. The Electrolux is terrible. Cold spots everywhere and overcooked on the edges. Takes nearly twice as long too cook food properly compared to the Panasonic.

The convection is ok for simple things like heating up pies etc. But beyond that I may as well have just used my regular oven. Also the display steams up with moisture when using the convection, which is another quality control issue.

Lucky I kept my old Panasonic microwave as a backup. I've gone back to it. Looking at paying the extra money for a Panasonic convection microwave to replace the Electrolux.

Microwave stopped working – I purchased our Electrolux convection microwave, double oven, induction cooktop and Electrolux range hood all at the same time thinking it would last for years. I suppose the name doesn't mean quality any more. My microwave wont heat up at all. I should have kept my old Sharp, I brought it when my first son was born, he is 25 years old now and he is still using the sharp in his home. Oh well you live and you learn.

Problems within a year – I bought this after not having a microwave for many years. Since my first microwave was also a convection and the added bonus of having an oven is too much to pass up, I decided to go for another convection. My last one was a Sharp Carousel which remember being very satisfied with but I gave it away when I moved abroad. As far as I know, it's… Read more

still kicking.

When at HN, there were no Sharp Convections present so I looked down other avenue's and this unit looked the part with its simplistic minimalist design and it was $398 including 36 month product replacement warranty. I thought I couldn't go wrong. Unfortunately, when I got it home, the turntable wasn't turning smoothly and kept lagging appearing as though it wasn't properly lubed. I thought, 'maybe it needs a bit of time to loosen up' and kept it for 10 months before the rotation of the turn table got worse (particularly in convection mode) and the internal light blew. I checked the manual on how to replace the light bulb but there was nothing mentioned. So I lodged a claim with the HN product replacement people stipulating the problem and they offered me a replacement. When I took the unit back to HN I was reluctant to accept a replacement of the same machine (which was offered immediately) as I didn't want to have the same or similar issues, so I asked whether I could apply the credit to a different machine. The girl was lovely and agreed to do this so I waited around for approx. an hour whilst she validated the claim and then chose a Sharp Carousel (for extra $) to replace it. Not sure if it's gonna be any better because the reviews on this website declare that it's also a lemon (didn't have time to check!) but am willing to give it a try. Design

Excellent kitchen-in-one! (updated) – -Update 1/1/14 The rotary control knob is now malfunctioning (it interprets some forward movements as reverse movements and vice versa) so it takes longer to select times or programs. annoyed. I'm thinking about opening the unit up and replacing the component since Electrolux apparently won't repair them (sign of a great company).

This microwave oven is pretty darn good. I've had mine for a few months now and it has been getting a work-out every day. Since I've had this, I've been cooking so much more because it's really easy!

It's very adaptable to whatever you are needing, the oven has a really quick warm-up time, much, much faster than a conventional oven, usually around 1 minute. I have tested the temperature regulation and I think it's pretty well spot-on. The controls will take a little getting used to but once you know how to use it it is very fast and easy to use. Microwave has one touch start, to use the oven, just press the cooking button, then adjust the dial whatever temp, then press start. The unit will then pre-heat and beep to let you know when it's ready, which is one of the best features that even ovens don't have.

I rent an house and the oven is really not great, so when I bought the microwave, I thought it would be a good idea to get a combo oven microwave all in one, since I can take it with me.

The inside is not as big as a regular oven so a normal baking tray won't fit, (like any other microwave) but supplied grilling/baking tray works really well. Having this unit has really been a great thing.

Things that could be improved -

Sometimes the turntable has a jerky movement when turning one way, but doesn't seem to affect anything, and isn't constant.

Panel fit on one edge seems to be out a bit, but unless you looked for it, you wouldn't notice.

The display panel can steam up if you leave a large amount of steaming food in the unit for a while once finished. It clears up when you restart it, the fan clears the steam away in about 1 min.

All in all, this is a great unit, even better because of the price (460). Stainless steel interior looks good as well. There's a lot of program features, and probably more than I'll ever use, but I use this a lot for baking. So far I've cooked pizza, cakes, banana bread, whole chicken, and I didn't have a problem cooking anything really. The grill feature is also great since it has the rotating tray to even it out, excellent for pizzas. Also to note, that you can have multiple functions on at the same time, eg. grill+oven or microwave+oven etc but the particular levels are set to suit different things. Multi-functional - convection oven, microwave, grill. Beeps when pre-heated, price very good. Panel fit could be imporved on right hand edge, controls could be easier or have more buttons, manual is just plain paper with staples

a very disappointing convection MW oven from Electrolux. Do not be tempted to buy it – The diallling system on our convection MW oven which we purchased in July 2012 now does not work properly ( actually since 2013 ) and keeps going backwards. When it finally does adjust, I have wasted valuable time to get it to function again. Expensive Mistake – My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a new, more powerful and bigger stainless steel microwave after many years with a small hand me down. In November 2012, after looking at a few models, we decided on the Electrolux as we liked the design and the simplicity of the model, also, my husband had recently purchased one for his office and… Read more

didn't have any complaints.

By the end of September 2013 the microwave started showing signs that the dial function was not working correctly as it would occasionally skip backwards a couple of seconds before continuing forward. I actually thought perhaps I was dialing too fast and didn't take too much notice as it was only a couple of seconds here or there. As it was, my husband (fiancee at the time) and I were getting married/going on honeymoon so I had bigger things to worry about.

When we got back from our honeymoon in November it was still showing intermittent signs of issues with the dial which got worse over a couple of weeks, to the point that as soon as you start turning the dial, the numbers just go all over the place. You can stand there turning the dial for 10 minutes just to try program 2 minutes of cooking time - more often than not I just dial whatever number I can and then stand there watching the clock to make sure I don't overcook something.

Long story short, after following up with Harvey Norman that I had a two year warranty I was directed to follow up with Electrolux who, by this stage, were closed for Christmas. I finally got hold of Electrolux this year and was told that I had in fact only a 1 year warranty on that particular model, that if switching it off and then back on didn't fix the problem that I would have to go out and find someone else to fix it for me. Very unhelpfully I was told that they have Electrolux servicemen for the metro area but that they do not service or repair microwaves and subsequently could not help me.

So in less than one year from purchase I have a $450 microwave with a fault that causes me grief every time I try to use it and Electrolux don't want to know anything about it. Incidentally, the same microwave at my husbands office is doing the same thing so this is clearly a fault of the model and it is a poor reflection of the Electrolux brand that they will not have anything to do with services on their microwaves, especially a model that clearly has an inherent fault such as this. I would not recommend anyone buy this microwave and after my experience with Electrolux I will not be considering their brand for future purchases either. The way it looks It doesn't work properly, it cost too much to break in less than a year and Electrolux are unhelpful.

Waste of money – Microwave is fine, but the convection side of it is a waste of space. I have trialled various products and I suggest that Electrolux go back to the drawing board because it does not work. After normal cooking of 30 mins in a normal sized oven and cooked the same product was 1 hour and 15 minutes in the convection oven - and still NOT cooked. What a joke. This product is a dud. Don't expect this to last – We got a bit over 3 years out of our one before the M/W part stopped working - I'm not sure what the "reasonable" life span for a microwave is theses days, but our previous ones have lasted much longer. Apart from it's short life, in the last year the dial began to play up, making it tedious setting times longer than a couple of minutes. The door action, appearance and dial (until it started to fail) Short lifespan.

Not that happy – Very disappointed. It is good at heating up the crockery food is on, but not any use at heating the food evenly or quickly.
