Shattered Glass I. Electrolux Oven – Warning , I wouldn’t purchase an Electrolux product again. This oven is only 7 Years old!. Whilst cooking the glass exploded and shattered! Electrolux do not have the parts to replace it and even though it’s obviously a fault with the product, they have washed their hands of all responsibility. Glad that my kids and pets were not in the kitchen when it exposed! Buyers Beware!!! Show details
Mostly OK but the door – Have used this oven for a number of years now and it is competent for the price. Nothing special. The door does not seal, ever, so use a bulldog clip at the top! This is a design fault that cannot be fixed by new hinges as the new ones are exactly the same. Once the door seals though it heats up and then cooks OK. Not sealed, you are wasting huge amounts of power and cooking takes ages. Controls easy to use. Cheap knobs though. Show details
Oven door won't close, dial or knob settings are now unreadable, product is only six years old – Like everyone else the oven door does not shut properly, the door went bung about fourteen months after we brought it. To function the door is either open or semi shut, it will not do what you would expect. Besides ringing the serviceman we have found that by pulling the oven out of the cavity and using a large "bulldog" clip to keep it closed,… Read more
this works well. A hideous solution but it works, and is cheaper than hiring the serviceman at $70.00 per visit. Who when arrives will just to tell you the door isn't working and they have a lot of trouble with these doors... Lastly to read the dials for temperature and function settings we have found that the use of a 200 watt lamp helps, but marking them with black dots from a vivid marker pen is also a great help. In hind sight I should never have brought the product, very disappointed I would have expected more advanced design than what we have purchased.
Just as a by the by, I eventually replaced the hinges, gave the part numbers to the hinge making… Read more
Oven door will not shut properly – The oven door wont close properly so we called the technician who ordered new hinges. New hinges have to be purchased attached to the front panel of the oven door, separate hinges not available. Fitted the new door and hinges no difference door still not closing properly. Electrolux you have a problem.
Oven door doesnt close properly – I would really like to be able to adjust the door hinges without calling a "serviceman". I had the same proplem after inheriting a similar oven. The escaping heat perished the door seal and cracked the plastic handle. I don't want this to happen again. I looks like getting someone out to adjust it doesn't seem to be a permanent solution
Badly fitting oven door – Even though had service guys out twice oven door never shut properly and shelves are out of allignment, so it is hard to lide them in an out. Heat escapes from oven and does not cook evenly. Very disappointed with quality of oven and quality of back-up service. Last time I will purchase an Electrolux product

Badly fitting oven door – I also have an Elecrolux EOEM61AS oven and have had trouble with the oven door. It was suposedly fixed under Warranty but has never fitted properly with air escaping from the top. Consequently the cooking is uneven .

Problems with oven door – Have had trouble with the oven door closing properly. Oven is 4 years old and door was repaired once under warranty. Heat escapes from the oven and heats up the knobs making them too hot to touch. Uneven cooking has been a problem since purchase. Over the past 30 odd years I have owned 3 other ovens (2 uprights and one under bench), this has been the most inefficient. Recently there is an unexplained crack in the door handle.

Ignited – Gave me and my daughter the fright of our lives - just turned it on and something dramatically went wrong inside the fan mechanism at the back of the oven - producing some kind of fire (could see the orange glow)!! Turned off the power and kept the door shut until it had cooled down. Very very scarey. Never had this happen with an oven ever… Read more
before (and yes the fan filter was clean - did it just a few weeks ago!)
I will not buy or recommend Electrolux based on this terrifying experience.

Disappointed – The oven is almost 4 years old. It now will not hold heat - right in the middle of cooking a roast. I think it is the bottom element, but I am not sure and can not afford to pay a technician to inspect it. We have had nothing but problems with this oven from new. The door does not seal properly and heat escapes, making the buttons very hot to… Read more
touch. Oven was serviced twice under warranty, yet this problem remains. Cooks well. I love all the different cooking functions, easy to clean, Door does not seal, buttons heat up, does not hold temperature.

Inner glass door shattered – Out of the blue came an earth-shattering bang - the inner glass of the oven had shattered into smithereens. Oven wasn't even on and hadn't been used for 24 hours. Had a hard time trying to keep the curious toddler away from all the action. Have done some searching over the last 24 hours and found this is a common occurrence with other Electrolux… Read more
models. Called the customer service line this morning and was told in no uncertain terms that it had nothing to do with the manufacturing. Nice one guys. Oven only about 4 years old.
How on earth can you accept that the GLASS in your OVEN DOOR could shatter at any moment? Do we just replace the door at our own expense and then cross our fingers it never happens again? I simply can't believe that something like this could become a 'normal' occurrence. Bad form. Everything working perfectly well otherwise. Exploding inner door.

experienced problems over time – I did quite like this oven however I have experienced problem over the 7 years we have had it and am now looking at replacing it. There is a crack in the handle which happened within about 4 years of having it. The light globes constantly blow and are quick difficult to replace. Its easy to use and looks great. Was heating/cooking food well… Read more
however, its starting to cook unevenly. The pizza option confused me a bit when I used it but if I try it again and check the instructions I am sure that it will be a great option on this oven. Love the timer on it. Its easy to clean, mind you the racks aren't easy to clean. Looks great, heats well,
