EOK96030X Electrolux combination steam oven – We purchased this steam oven as we were so impressed by the food cooked in this oven at the demonstrations we went to. We unfortunately haven't used it as much as I thought we would mainly because the instruction manual is not easy to understand and the cooking times in the steam cooking table have been too long in our experience. I have reduced the times for vegetables by half and those for fish by five minutes with success. It's impossible to check on things as they are steaming as opening the door releases all the hot steam (it states in the instructions never to do this anyway) It's also quicker to microwave vegetables than steam them so we tend to do that.

On the plus side the steamed puddings have been perfect cooked in this oven and have fish fillets.

We have never used the other functions as we have another regular oven. Easy to clean, makes perfect steamed puddings. Great results from the steam programmes when you get used to it. Instruction manual is confusing and the times in the cooking table seem to be innacurate. Very few recipes. Would love to have more product support from Electrolux on how to make the most of this oven as I sure it has potential!

Love it! – I needed a second oven but did not have the room for a standard sized oven. Looked everywhere and finally found this one that fits in the space I had. It is expensive (HN matched the online price I found of $2800), but as it is a steam oven as well as a regular oven, the price is to be expected. Being smaller than a regular oven and having an added feature of "fast heat up", it heats up in no time, less than 5 minutes, which is great.

Also able to use "steam interval" which bakes, but also steams, which is good for roasts etc, keeps then moist.

Love the fact that I can pre-set the timing, I can go out and have it come on at, for example, 5 pm and finish at 6 pm.

Only downside is that I find the controls and instruction manual slightly difficult. Took me a while but I found I don't use the programmes already set, but instead just choose the appropriate cooking process and set the temperature I need. I was offered a demonstration by HN and I will probably go and do that to make sure I get the best out of it. I had the double e-line oven in my previous home and loved the fact that the cooking processes all appeared in words, so were easy to choose (ie, baking, pizza, keep warm etc). Would have liked the same on this oven. This is the only negative I have at this point.

Even though I have only had it for a short time, I can already see that because it is smaller and heats up so quickly, I will use it more than the standard oven I have. I will now only use that when I need two ovens for different temperatures. Quick heat up Functions could be a little easier to understand
