Energizer Metal LED Light

Same problems as others stops working – Thought it was a good torch, awfully expensive, worked fine for a while, but chewed through batteries even when not being used. Now wont turn on at all. Stay away, far away, from anything with Energizer and Torch on the same label. Show details
Total Rubbish Mr Energiser – Seemed a heavyweight, quality torch but It stopped working almost immediately. Exchanged for another which flickered on and off a few times then stopped working. This was last year. I pulled it out of the cupboard just now, put new batteries in hoping for a miracle. No such luck so into the bin. Overpriced rubbish. Show details
The batteries lasted longer than the torch – Purchased from Bunnings. I thought Energiser would put its brand on something quality, even if it doesn't have a reputation in torches. I was mistaken. The torch lasted two or three short uses over 12-18 months before it would cease to turn on. It didn't even survive its first set of batteries. It's a shame because the torch gives good light and… Read more
has a nice feel - it presents as much higher quality than it really is. I have two other Energiser torches still going but am not relying on them.
Heap of crap – 5 second wonder. Crap switch and connectors. Avoid at all costs. The marketing of this product is smoke and mirrors. Spend elsewhere on quality. Use as a gift for someone you dont like. Show details
Don't buy it, they are Crap – This torch is absolute garbage & NEVER works when you need it to. I have returned this torch for a replacement twice & now given up completely. Cheaper torches are more reliable. Show details
Drop once and it not longer turns on – Terrible experience! This week I purchased my 4th and final one of these torches from my local Woolies. I have only kept 'giving them another go' over the last 6 months as it is the only torch my Woolies stocks. At $25 a pop this torch it's on the expensive side but works great, until you drop it ONE time, and not a great height, approx. 1m off my… Read more
work bench, it then does not turn on again, even with new batteries. Just terrible, at first I thought it must be me - now 4 times in a row the exact same issue - Definetly a fault with the torch, very disappointed $100 down the loo.
One drop and it stops – This review is for the Vision HD Metal 2AA. When it worked the torch was OK but seemed to chew through batteries despite infrequent (once a week) use for short periods (a minute or two). Then one day it rolled (a design flaw allows this despite it being beveled) onto the floor from a height of exactly 55cm and will no longer turn on.
Overpriced Garbage – Very good torch when working however there appears to be inconsistent battery contact causing the beam to continually flicker or turn off. Returned to Bunnings for replacement and believing this to be an isolated instance I also purchased a second torch for my wife. Yep! Wound up with two crappy torches which faded or cut off at will. Enough is… Read more
enough returned both to Bunnings for full refund, exchanged them for two similar cheapies and received $18.00 refund. The chinese cheapies are so far ahead of the Eveready/Energisers it's like chalk and cheese. Eveready are winning the race to the bottom in the product quality stakes. Eveready is no longer a quality product. Check out the Dolphin Lantern reviews.
absolutely useless – Bought it for $28 from Bunnings and after a few days had to put it in the rubbish bin because it was driving me crazy with it flickering and tuning it self off all the time. My workmate had two of these lights with exactly the same problems, he smashed them in the bin too. $2.50 would be to much for this very poor quality item. Will avoid purchasing Energizer products in the future. Show details
Not a great torch – I have the AA version, after 2 months it has started to fail and you have to give it a good whack to get it going again. Whilst it is bright the beam needs to be more focused for outdoor use, it also seems to chew through the batteries when comapred to my maglight. A bit of a bummer, will not purchase this brand again. Not Durable – I got the larger 2D size. I accidentally dropped it and it no longer works. The company said they don't warranty miss-handled products. Really? Many flashlights have been dropped but they still work! Show details
quick breakdown – Bought this torch from Coles, and after 6 months, the plastic setting inside the torch that separate the LED and the positive (+) pf the batteries, started to disintegrate rendering the torch useless. not happy after 6 months and paying close to 20 bucks, now need to buy another one. AAA-version Bright for the price – I bought the unit taking 3xAAA batteries. Compact and solidly built. Non-adjustable beam but a hi/lo function. Good level of brightness - used as a room light (pointed up at ceiling) during extended blackout recently.

Bad battery contacts – my torch keeps fading out have to tap on the bench to keep it alight, seems like bad contact somewhere betwwen battery and conections, getting worst , will have to dump it and purchase another torch but not the same , unfortunately, just too frustrated with this one
One minor design flaw – The battery compartment does not hold the batteries firm (i.e. there is some movement) allowing a loss of contact between the batteries and the positive/negative terminal which results in micro-flickering / micro-dimming of the light to frequently occur. I have three of these torches and this is common across them all. Otherwise would be a fantastic little product.
Pretty good – I bought energizer torches from Coles corrimal and kept using them with little difficulty.as they are easy to turn on and they provide plenty of light and putting them in my unfortunately they kept dropping out of my pocket and I kept losing them / I totally recommend the energizer led torch as cheap and affective flashlight
Not a bad little performer – I've had one of these little Energizers for the last two and a half years and its been in the tool box all that time. I mainly use it for working on and under the car, as its light is bright and white. The LED's that are used are domed rather than a square chip like Cree typically make for Led Lenser's, there are 5 LED's and cumulative output… Read more
is about the same as other cheap 9 LED torches you can find. There is no option for focusing or any further length, the light that is emitted is a soft flood light that is good for close work as it illuminates the general area that your pointing it at.
The torch itself is not water resistant due to no gasket seals on the tail cap or lense itself, nor is it impact resistant and can break when dropped like I found out with my first unit that stopped working after it rolled off my Zook's diff - about 30cm fall onto concrete and it stopped working totally.
Otherwise the tail cap has the on and off switch and it only has one function on/off, unlike other brands which have some form of multi button function. I've greased the threads in the tail cap which should provide enough water proofing when held by / in the mouth.
Its a serious entry level torch for the home, kiddies or professionals alike, it's good for working on vehicles, inspecting the fuse box at night or fishing. Its light and the aluminium is finished well with a nice anodized finish which shouldn't corrode ever. It works best with Energizer Lithium's as these give a great amount of power over an extended period of time and dont weigh down the torch much at all. Light weight, compact, light output, cost. Non multi function tail switch, not very strong drop wise, not weather proof.
Excellent – for around $25 this torch is reliable and portable. The japanese LED is durable and punches a bright white light that will light up any area with ease. The fact that it is a LED means you get excellent battery time and makes it effecient. The quality of the LED and body are very high and the torch feels expensive and grippy. comes in different sizes and they are all bright and high quality. The bright white light is an excellent feature. The body construction and colour is also very tough looking and durable. It might be a bit on the heavy and big side. There are torches that are smaller that give more light and use smaller batteries.
