Awesome Value for money!! – I've had mine 5 years now & still works as new. It's like having a mini cafe machine in your own home. It's great when I have family celebrations. Easy to clean it also cleans itself. Machine will last longer if you turn it off after each use. this machine works like one of those in a cafe so I treat it that way, not a pod machine. Once you… Read more
navigate your way around it & get used to what you're doing you'll appreciate the machine! It's not rocket science & I think some previous reviews are because people aren't aware of how machines like this function different from pod machines. Personally, it's been value for money & the smell of freshly ground coffee every morning is bliss!
Too previous comments made.
- Hissing is the water heating up & noise comes through steamer & head.
- If water drops out of head its cleaning itself.
- if leaks when making coffee, you've packed it with too much coffee.
- if you can't put coffee handle in properly you may have too much coffee or try again twisting to the right first till it attaches to head then twist to the left but it definitely fits & does its job.
- frother works well I've not had problems & water comes out when you use on low steam, has to be high or it's not steam.
- the grinder OMG I love it. You can change the size of coffee ground by twisting the cylinder around to fine (smallest dot) there's a button on the top side edge next to grinder you press to move cylinder.
- yes coffee light comes on & you press for one coffee to your desired cup & press it off. You don't have to keep pressing it on & off as some reviewer said.
- easy to disassemble for cleaning then reassemble.
Not bad for cheap machine – We've had ours for close to three years, don't really use steamer or frother, but ok. The grinder is great .over all don't buy it and expect DeLonghi or Gaggia... it is a cheap machine... but ours has served us well and still going. maybe we were lucky with our purchase. can't say i would recommend for anyone to buy. Cheap, makes a reasonable coffee, grinder is good. Pressure not great.
Terrible – the button to press for making the coffee has an indicator light, light on means press now to make coffee perc; light off means to button off and wait. For just one cup of coffee this goes on and off many times making it annoying. Also, we have tried for 2 days to make the prec coffee CREMA....it simply will not make CREMA but makes watering… Read more
coffee.
I will never buy a coffee machine without it being demonstrated to me!!!!!!!!!!! This Eurolab is a complete waste of money. looks nice by basically a toy ok, where do i start? See below
The best coffee machine ever – Is everyone nuts!! This is the best coffee machine ever!!! We have had ours for 4 yrs now and have never had any problems!! The only thing now is the steamer hasn't wired but who cares !!! It makes HOT HOT COFFEE AND FROTHY TOO!! I luv it Everything hot coffee, frothy!! And cheap as. Considering u get a grinder to make fresh coffee Steamer to froth milk doesn't wrk Show reply
Good as a bench ornament – I wish I had read the reviews before I bought this. A great-looking machine, but a foolish aquisition in the long run if you make cappucino's a lot. The milk frother is not a frother and shouldn't even be termed as such. I have the ridiculous model with the hose that goes into the milk and heats and froths - not too bad if you aren't proficient at… Read more
frothing milk, but a bit of a annoyance doing it daily. The grinder is good. The rubber seal in the cup is a hindrance, and the cup doesn't fit tightly in the grouphead. However I have been achieving a fairly good crema, though bitter(which I'm working on). If you've bought it, play around with it until you get a good cappucino. If you're thinking of buying it, buy a cheap Sunbeam instead. It looks expensive, inbuilt grinder. No milk frother as such. Cheap-looking accessories.
don't waste your money – This machine should not be on the market. a disgrace to any seller. Put up with mine for three months trying all sorts of ideas to improve the performance. Seal leaks around strainer handle, hence a week watery coffee. Frother is only just such. I had a dearer machine for quite a number of years. It does not pay to go cheap, so I'm on my way to… Read more
buy a sunbeam coffee maker. Last one was brilliant and I was a fool to have thought a cheaper unit would make a good coffee and perform as well as the dearer unit
cheap nasty bit of gear
Terrible – Honestly save another hundred dollars and buy yourself a nespresso machine or something. Eurolab have been promoting their very cheap coffee machines on places like deals direct and ebay and they're really not worth throwing your money away on. They don't last and everyone I know who has bought one has had to throw it out in under a year. Seems… Read more
like an appealing price. Has a sleek, nice design and was heavily promoted online. In theory seems like a fantastic buy Honestly, save your money. Ours fell apart after three weeks. Doesn't produce a great cup of coffee, confusing to operate, made a strange hissing noise when it wasn't supposed to.
Bad – I bought mine from Deals direct, and have had trouble with the grinder, not working,Im surprised by the comments of 30days warranty,as i thought all goods bought in Australia were covered by 12 month one,I will persevere a little longer and hope it is me and not a useless wast of badly made crape.KR It certainly looks the part,EuroLab,I honestly… Read more
thought it was from Europe? The instructions are not clear, they are a kind of pigeon English and do not explain clearly how to (a) operate the grinder(b)adjust the Grinder.
OK – For the price I found it makes a good cup of coffee however I do not use the steamer I microwave my milk Had my machine for best part of a year, must be one of the lucky few by the sounds of things as I haven't had and problems yet and makes a decent cup of coffee. I dropped the coffee holder (handle and filter) and think I must have bent filter cup as it now leaks. I can't seem to find anywhere to buy spare parts from.
Terrible – The grinder is crap as the beans were not grinded the 2nd time I used the grinder. First time was great and when I finished all the grounded coffee I made, I again put new 1 cup of beans in the grinder and took me 15 minutes to wait and the beans were not grounded at all. Deals Direct said that they cannot replace the machine as it is over 30… Read more
days warranty period. Warranty period is very short. I think Deals Direct knows the reviews of this machine and that is why they shortened the warranty period. machine looks attractive, good size with its grinder and not expensive. coffee is great probably the machine is just 2 months plus only. has used the grinder once in mid January 09 after purchase in 1st week of December 08
Bad – Cheap and nasty. The operation of the machine leaves a lot to be desired. I will complete more research before next purchase. The price of $99 nearly 2 years ago bought on e-bay. Reasonable cup of coffee for home use The frother went within 2 months. Machine was replaced and frother went again within 1 month. The coffee is received from the machine inconsistently. Deals Direct wouldn't reply to any emails after that. Really bad service!
Terrible – Useless! Only lasted 1 month the started spitting water from group head and backpressure from water outlet. No option but to throw it out as it would cost more to repair than purchase price. Won't make this mistake again and purchase rubbish on Ebay. Let's face "What did I expect for $100.00" obviously my moneys worth. Looks good on bench Cheap and Nasty Asian CRAP.
Terrible – Why do we let china use the worlds resources to make crap just so it can be used as land fill.we mine the ore refine it make metal sell to china they turn it into crap so we can bury it so in 50 yrs time we can mine it refine it and sell i t on again. How much pollution did making this crap thing cost the earth there should be minimum requirements… Read more
for performance with a minimum of 10 years parts back up and the parts shouldn't cost the earth to buy. deals direct should stop supporting bad manufacturers cheap lasted 1 month
Find out how Eurolab 15 compares to other Semi-Automatic and Manual Coffee Machines
Know better, choose better.
Terrible – I should have read the other reviews here. I picked it up cheap on Ebay thought I was getting a bargain. I didn't look around at other options. It turns out that I didn't get a bargain I could have bought it from another online shop for the same price as ebay and had a warranty. But the online shop only has a warranty of 6 months. well I guess i… Read more
could have gotten mine fixed but reading the other reviews i htink it would have been a waste of time. I'll just spend money on a true machine and decent warranty next time. nice coffee, easy to use heating element died after 2 months
Good – I bought it fearing the worst, "what u pay is what u get" etcetc.I am totally happy with it,good price and good product., as are other Eurolab products I have purchased Ease of use, consistancy of coffee taste (depending on choice of coffee)
Good – I love my machine, paid $99 from online shop. I have had my moneys worth from this machine. Would compare with other machines if it had to be replaced only because of the problem getting spares. Has built in grinder and makes great coffee. Have had machine for about 3 years now and still going strong. Only makes a couple of cups at time, not… Read more
good when you have visitors. The gizmo that holds the coffee got badly corroaded and had to be replaced. Had trouble finding one. New one cost $20. No spare parts shops available as far as I could find.
Terrible – Basically a throw-away product when it fails. Save your money for something more reliable unless you are willing to take the risk. Cheap. Makes coffee OK, but not great. Stopped heating after 11 months. Thought to use it then for bean grinding but that has broken down also. No repairs available.
Terrible – At first it was great, made great coffee for 2 months then stopped boiling the water = NO STEAM! = Can't froth the milk = NO GOOD! Sent that one back to "dealsdirect.com" they were gracious to send out another machine as there was 3 months warranty. Second machine also great ~ for 3 months until it too stopped boing the water ~ here we go again!!!… Read more
Just inside the warranty period luckily. Third machine arrives & yes, yet again after a short period ~ NO STEAM!!! This time warranty had ran out & there is no service, back up or spare parts after that. May as well throw it away or just keep it to grind the beans & use a plunger instead. Great coffee ~ At first.
Grinds beans ~ A bonus! Only last a couple of months, 4 if you are lucky but then it's out of warranty!!!
Terrible – After my husband purchased one of these machines, we thought it would make a great present. Wrong. The first machine we recieved lasted 3 days before it started leaking water everywhere. We sent it back under warranty. In the mean time, my husbands 3 month old machine stopped working. When we recieved the replacement machine it wasn't working… Read more
from the moment we opened the box. Thinking that there must be some inherent fault in these machines, my husband sent a note to Deals Direct (where we had purchsed the machine from) informing them that his machine was no longer working also. He recieved a reply saying that it was bad luck as these machines only have a 30 day warranty, I am still waiting for a response in regards to the second machine that we were sent. It will be interesting to see if they send yet annother replacement that lasts just past the warranty period. Shame on you Eurolab for such a poorly made product and to sellers who know of this machines extremely limited lifespan and inherent problems. It grinds the coffee and was supposedly a machine valued at around $400 It only comes with a 30 day warranty and it's easy to see why.
OK – Unlike some of the previous posts my machine is almost 2 years old and I havent had any probs (touch wood) So far we've had lots of good coffee out of it. From reading the other reviews, the others dont seam to last so long I guess I got one of the good ones. The machine is cheap, good for a first time home barista, easy to clean, good steamer. Nice looking machine Grinder doesnt give you fine coffee. The Grip Handle is flaky
Good – First cappuccino I made for a relative was raved about (even when I wasn't around!). Perfect coffees, just not the best machine (and the accompanying DVD was funny and hopeless in being helpful - at least the written instructions were comprehensible!) Excellent value for money, great coffee, great crema. Takes a while for the cycle to be ready to… Read more
make more coffees. Noisy. Can only grind small amounts of beans at a time (but more than enough for a few coffees).
Terrible – Machine bought for Christmas and lasted 3 months, boiler died can't get parts so in the bin it went, Well it was only $99.00, Must have been assembled on a friday afternoon. Stay clear of these machines, get a recognised brand, you will pay more but at least you will get a decent warranty and parts backup. Check [url] for frank and thruthfull… Read more
information on better budget machines if price is an issue. I did and have not looked back since. Oh well time for a coffee from a machine that does what it is supposed to do. Looks the part and easy to operate. $99.00 thought I would give it a try Very noisy Grinder, Coffee temperature luke warm, runs out of steam for frothing quickly, spare parts ? non existant. Cheap and nasty internal construction. No way is this a $400 machine
Terrible – Bought on 2nd March, 2007 and after 4 months the machine no longer produces steam for frothing milk. The coffee temperature is less than warm. It has been used daily for 2 cups of coffee morning and evening. Very disappointing, but I guess you get what you pay for ($99,- at Deals Direct). Easy to operate. Grinds coffee well. Very noisy grinder,… Read more
